Rain rain everywhere......

Hello peeps from a very wet Fenland. It rained most of the night and has not stopped yet today, so lots of muddy paw marks in and out and hubby's not too impress as Bernie went straight into the conservatory last time he came in and puddled all our the new wood floor. Guess who'll be cleaning that later ?

Challenges and a combined effort here, this weeks Creative Card Crew is "Punch it" and the same at Simons Says so a first here for me as it fits so nicely and I have followed the sketch at Friday Sketchers although I have turned the oval inside out.

What with all the Stampalot challenge activity this is the first chance I have had to have a proper play with my latest collection of the new Hero goodies........and not much chance to visit most of your blogs, so sorry I have been such a bad blogger this week but just not enough hours in my days right now.

The new Hero Chalk Inks are just lovely, super vivid colours and for this card I have used Iris and Grass stamping the Dandelion Frame CG153 which I just love. I cut an oval from the centre with Nesties through the Big Shot and then smaller scalloped circle placing it behind to add definition. I then stamped Hero G4917 Dandelion with the same inks and placed it into the aperture.

A little glitter has been added to the dandelions as well as the three punched butterflies. The border is Martha Stewart embossed butterflies with some organza ribbon added. I also used knotted ribbon for the butterflies thorax's for a change to gems. My card looks a bit drunk in the picture, but it is straigtt in the flesh - honest.

Wow, what a wonderful card! Love the layout, the colours, the butterflies, that MS punch, and the dandelion frame. I bought the Aged Print frame because I saw it used on a card on a blog somewhere which looked really good (but which I haven't been able to find again since!) & then wished I'd got the dandelion one instead. Never mind - I'm just going to have to have both!

Hi Brenda

Same weather here too :( Just been to Chelmsford and getting in an out of the car without getting my "just cut" hair wet was an impossible task, my cats just keep looking out into the garden and going back to their beds. Very pretty card with lovely colours :)

It's been chucking it down here all day too and I got back from Sainsburys with really wet shopping. Not fun!
You might like to know that this week's challenge on Simon Says is also Punch It! so you could enter that one too. Shame not to with such a fab card.
Have a great weekend. xxx

Hi Brenda I know exactly what you mean about the time - where does it go? Remember that the crafting comes first - If you spent all of your time visiting and commenting we wouldn't have anything to look at here lol. Love the stamping on this card its got a lovely woodland feel to it.

Lovely card, Brenda. That stamp is gorgeous, and I like the look of those inks, too. Intrigued by the way you've cut that aperture, as well. Looks very effective.

It's been a very wet day here too Brenda and I know what you mean about wet feet, although the beauty of wood floors is that they wash easily. Heavens knows what state carpet would be in after the recent weather.
I love your card, those stamps are gorgeous and the colours are so unusual but they work brilliantly.
Have a great weekend.

Lovely and unusual card Brenda. Love the colours and images.

We've had the same weather here in Notts. What a dreary day and I'm heartilly sick of putting the pooch in the bath to shower his feet and tummy off after every visit outside. He's part Dachsund so very low to the ground and get muddied up by the time he's gone half a dozen steps, Lol.
