Rudolph and the boys in Red

Morning Peeps, I enter very few challenges but really wanted to support Helen who has taken over the reigns from Mo of the Rudolph Days challenge and as I have a few suitable cards in my folder, thought I should share one of them.

It's an un-blogged Create and Craft sample from before Christmas for Highlight Crafts using Seasons Finishing Touches, an acetate panel and wintery scene in the background from MCS. The Christmas Roses and Holly decoupaged and a bow to finish.

Your also going to have to bear with my excitement that our Boys in Red brought home the first trophy of the season yesterday. Against all the odds with our recognised front three all injured along with a good few others, Jurgen was brave and fielded a side made up of a few seniors and a good few lads.....as one commentator said "they'll be back at school tomorrow". What a wonderful day it was for those youngsters now nicknamed "Klopp's Kids".

Quinn daydreaming

Morning everyone, a new challenge at Allsorts and Liz has chosen the theme 'Things that Fly' or theres the A/G option. Prizes which come from AALL and Create and Aldridge Crafts and as the challenge straddles two months will be drawn in March.

It's Lavinia all the way here with Quinn sitting daydreaming atop a toadstool house and the scene built up around her with several worker stamps onto a brayered oxide background, the flowers on the toadstool coloured and liquid pears here and there.

A note for those who use my 10% Highlight discount code as know there are a few of you, I've just added a new one to the sidebar (BLOG7582) valid until the end of April after which there will be a new one. This is a one time use per customer so make sure you get all you need in one shop, sadly necessary because the previous one was abused.

Hearts, Hounds and snippet birdies

Morning everyone, today sees our mid month inspirational posts at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations where our themes are Romance and Animals, Birds and Creatures.

Above I have used an old faithful for this time of the year, AALL and Create Fragile Fragments (538) and Elongated Hearts (156), simply stamped, some of the hearts/words stamped a second time to decoupage and some colour added.

My second share is also an A&C stamp, this time Canine Dreams (862) again pretty simple, sky created with Pan Pastel, the image stamped with Versafine Clair and some Swallows which come from Fully Fledged (751). As a family we decided the Dog is a 'Ginger' which is what one of our Son's two Vizsla are nicknamed, but equally it could be a Lab with a decent waistline, not something ours can boast!

And here's one from my last real crafting activity which was back at Christmas for Stamp Addicts Create and Craft show last week. It features one of their new Teri Sherman stamps, Blue Titis and one of my own sentiments from Moments. It's my share over at the Snippets Playground, with the exception of the base card everything is snippets and cut out on the Scan and Cut again. Even the pieces of acetate were offcuts so I created the base card from a sheet of A3 to accommodate them. Colours are a bit garish, but I never ever claimed to be a colourist!

Zamira

Morning everyone, a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Dena would like to see lots of Pink, but if it's not your colour then theres always the A/G option. Prizes come from AALL and Create and Lavinia and will be drawn on Friday.

Voice programme doing the typing so excuse any typos, it's got a mind of it's own sometimes. Above another made quite some time ago, I'm digging deep into my folders now and desperately need to get some proper crafting done. Zamira remains one of my favourite Lavinia Fairies, here I created a simple stencilled background, stamped her with Versafine Nocture and added a kaleidoscope of Butterflies fluttering from her hand. The sentiment from my Moments stamp set seemed appropriate.

As it's a special occasion at the Butterfly Challenge, ten years old this month, I really wanted to join in. I was hopeful that I could find something suitable in my folders but alas nothing, so had a go to see what I could do with one working hand and one that can just nudge without the pain kicking in again, so two days and a good few expletives later this is what I ended up with.

The format of the challenge has changed and each challenge now follows the alphabet, this time it's 'B'. So hope I've got the idea right by picking out several elements to combine, baby blue, bud green, burnt orange, Birthday wishes, border (stitch stamp) a stamped 'B' and of course the Butterfly. Will confess it was a bit of a cheats card as most things were already prepared, I have a bag of Flowers cut ages ago on the Scan and Cut (after stamping onto inky card) for paper piecing, background from my drawer of ready made ones, Butterfly A&C Ephemera with some colour added and basically all fixed together plus a computer generated sentiment and the 'B' stamped to finish.

Memories

Morning everyone, another Saturday and a new challenge at Allsorts where Mervi would like to see Hearts and of course there's always the A/G option. Prizes come from AALL and Create and Lavinia and will go into the draws on 23rd February.

I've used a stamp from the same set as my last post AALL and Create Forget me Not (896) along with the little birdie and nib from Quill Ends (908). Zestly green and yellow Oxides onto a masked background some background text stamping and word from Power of the Word (754).

Cages were empty, hospital lists chockablock so April it is unless there's a cancellation! Am so frustrated but did make a card.....well sort of.......using ready cut and decoupaged TRR flowers, all the work was already done so not really card making but looks pretty'ish to use shortly. And a new voice programme for typing seems to be an improvement of the previous one.

Thanks for your visits and words of encouragement, they help a lot and appreciated.

Happy hearts and flowers

Morning everyone, time for February challenges at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations, themes are Romance as chosen by Hilary and Animals, Birds and Creatures and the A'G option. There are two gorgeous collections of stamps from AALL and Create and Fairy Hugs to be won.

Above AALL and Create Forget me Not (896) stamped with Versafine Clair, the flowers stamped again and cut out, the stencil is Rosy Posy (138) with sentiment and heart from ephemera (35).

A couple of favourites with many of us stampers on this one, A&C Textured Florals (531) and Woodpecker from Follow your own Path (563). A piece of rice paper for the background sprayed with Oxides and images cut out and coloured with Ecoline pens. The flower, circle, birdie and sentiment are all snippets so off the the Playground so long as I can navigate the linky one handed.....I'm learning!

Letter arrived yesterday, cancelled procedures now mid April, I'm not a happy camper, my Neurologist (different hospital) who often touches base weekends isn't happy either, so think we'll both be rattling some cages on Monday, wonder if they'll be anyone listening inside though!!

Never stop making wishes

Another Saturday so time for a new challenge at Allsorts, this week I'm your host and I have created a bingo grid. Prizes come from Stampendous and will be drawn on 23rd February.

The top card follows right to left diagonal line of red, green and stencil. All stamps are Lavinia, a combination of old and new. The sentiment from years ago made by Stamp Addicts.

This one again using Lavinia stamps and also a combination following the right vertical line red, Fairy and Flowers.

Here's my card from the January Card Chain Challenge which went to Marianne in Crete, Lavinia Fairies and Sweet Poppy stencil. The colours came up rather bright in the photo following colour, Fairy and stencil prompts.

Been another mad week, Alex taken back into hospital for further surgery on his foot as his toes had no feeing or movement following the first surgery, he's now in full plaster to his knee and pretty immobile. On the positive side his Diabetes is stabilising. The hospital called to ask if I was available sort notice to go in Wednesday/Thursday for the cancelled procedures, that was the last I heard so still waiting one hand/armed!

Found my iMac has a voice programme so been giving it a try for commenting etc, very tentatively as early attempts threw up a few faux pars and it seems to miss conjunctions!!
