Be bold, be brave.........

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday which means a new challenge at Allsorts and our host is Mervi, it will be a two week theme to take us over the Easter period. Her theme is Anything Goes with a Monochromatic option. Our winner will receive a lovely stamp from Chocolate Baroque and there is an extra prize of a Tattered Lace die.

Lesley will be on Hochanda (The Craft Store from April 1st) on Good Friday 2nd April, times to be confirmed but there will be an AM and PM show as per usual.

I also have my shares from my post this week over at the Chocolate Baroque blog which you will find further down this post.

For the top card I have used a recently release stamp called Canary Bird Rose stamped in purple Versafine Clair onto a masked frame, inked and stencilled with the same inkpad, then the flowers coloured in using the same shade and perfect pearls added to the stamens. The sentiment from my own new Inspirational stamp set Life is so much Better released on Hochanda last month has been cut into sections and inked around the edges with the same Clair inkpad.

Details of stamps etc., used on the following three can all be found here.

Daffodils for the first day of Spring

Morning Peeps, today at 5.37am the March Equinox marked the first day of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere so as host for this weeks new challenge at Allsorts that had to be reflected in my theme. As usual it involves flowers for which I make no excuse as I think after the long, long Winter we are all ready to see 'Spring Flowers'

This week Clare from Pinksy Doodles is our sponsor and designed this pretty new Daffodil Vase for the occasion.

Two cards from me using the same image and both paper pieced using Clare's papers which you will find here and here. The sentiments are from my Spring Sentiments set.

My thanks as always for your kind visits and words of encouragement.

Watch the Dragonfly dance

Morning Peeps, running really late here so a very quick post with my shares for our mid month reminder posts at Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque where our themes at 'Monochromatic' and a super £25 store voucher from Stamp Addicts and 'I love....' and stamps to the same value from Chocolate Baroque.

The top card uses Oxides Crackling Campfire and Speckled Egg for the background and a recent Chocolate Baroque release on Hochanda called Fragile Wings, the Dragonfly was stamped twice and decoupaged.

My first mono card is another Hochanda sample for Stamp Addicts using Round Illusions stamped in various shades of brown and sepia.

Back to Chocolate Baroque this time with a Dylusions acrylic paint background and CB Harlequin Bouquet stamps in Versafine Twilight. The sentiment is one from my own new Life is so much Better which launched on Hochanda earlier this month.

Finally a chipboard tag using the new Kitsch Flamingo Oxide ink, distress spray and embossing enamel and Stamp Addicts Butterfly Stream which launched on Hochanda this week.

Whatever you are doing, hope you have a good day.

Swallow Tail Butterfly

Morning Peeps, time for a new challenge at Allsorts and our host is Helene whose would like us to use a 'Stamped Image'. I also have a post over at the Chocolate Baroque blog so sharing some of my creations from there as well.

This week our sponsor is Stamp Addicts offering the winner a £15 store voucher. Sarah will be on Hochanda again this coming week, Wednesday 15th at 5pm showcasing some new Flower and Butterfly stamps with an emphasis on shrink plastic. It's a last minute show so it's been a bit of a testing week trying to get sample made amidst a craft room refit and a bandaged right thumb which I managed to slice across the end.

The Swallow Tail Butterflies above came about rather be accident, seems a sheet of acetate had got in with the shrink plastic and of course didn't shrink, but I rather liked the contorted shape so decided to go with them onto a stencilled background along with a SA sentiment.

I had drew the stems, stamped some SA leaves and added the Doodle Blooms which I stamped onto shrink plastic over a Pan Pastel sky.

And my Chocolate Baroque shares, details of everything I used can be found on my post here.

Hope you all have a good weekend and as always many thanks for your visits and comments which always make my day.

Dare to be Brave

It's the first Sunday of the month so time for our new challenges at We Love Chocolate Baroque and Stamping Sensations. Our themes for this month are 'I Love'.......so we want to see your favourite crafting loves and 'Monochromatic'. Prizes come from Chocolate Baroque and Stamp Addicts.

My "I love......"'s are inks, grunge, flowers and inspirational quotes, the latter for this one and the one below come in the form of two from my own stamp set released on Hochanda TV on Friday called Life Is So Much Better. The background is Oxides and stencilling, CB Floribunda Net stamped with Versafine Clair and the flowers stamped onto inky offcuts, cut and paper pieced. The quote is stamped with the same ink onto a piece of vellum and heat embossed with detail clear EP.

Two for Stamping Sensations and the first uses Stamp Addicts Oriental Lilly, stamped with Versafine Clair and coloured with Kitsch Flamingo DI, the same colour used for the stencilling and the sentiment stamped with the same Claire inkpad.

The second again had Oxides in various greens onto a masked base piece, stencilled sun rays then using Versafine Clair I stamped SA Feline Family along with some random numbers using SA Distress Numbers plus a couple of index clips.

Mellow yellow ( who remembers this oldie from school days?)

Morning Peeps, time for a new challenge at Allsorts and our host is Lynn who is thinking sunny thoughts with the theme 'Use Yellow'. This weeks winner will receive a beautiful stamp from Chocolate Baroque.

My card at the top is from yesterdays Hochanda TV shows where my first set of inspirational quotes called 'Life Is So Much Better' was released, I have used one of them broken into two, I'm rather fond of doing that plus it makes them even more versatile. The focal image is Floral Musica which featured in the same show, a crackle frame, Oxide background and Swarovski crystals...........I had a real find the other day, a box with 20 pots of them in different colours. I had totally forgotten them until I came across them emptying cupboards for my craft room re-fit.

I've had to completely empty my craft room which has been a nightmare, wasn't planned but I've been struggling reaching things in the wall cupboards for a while so hubby thought it was time.......probably fed up hearing the yells and expletives every time I drop something!! So furniture ordered and amazingly delivered within two days and now being fitted.......albeit slowly!!

The starting point for my second share was a stencilled background, then Chocolate Baroque Ace Card stamped after masking the frame around the image as I wanted just the floral element and script, then extended the script with one of the worker stamps from the same set. Coloured the flowers, stamped the word ART, sentiment also from the same set and numbers in the background from the Just Useful set.

Happy weekend all and as always my thanks for your kind visits and words of encouragement.
