Morning Peeps, apologies for the no show for a few days round your blogs, had a bit of a kidney flare up so not felt my best this week. It's time for our new Allsorts challenge and this week Ellie would like us to create a scene with stamps and/or dies. Our sponsor offering a £15 store voucher is Swedish House Crafts. I also have my shares from today's 15 minute CAS post over at Chocolate Baroque blog.
So, a lolly stick creation for Allsorts. I had seen a few of them popping up in blogland and was rather taken with something different and wondered how many lollies people must be eating to gather together enough to make the base...................then the penny dropped as a well known kitchenware store from the Lake District..............you know the one I mean..........sells them in packs, so mystery solved, if indeed it really was a mystery rather than me needing to putting my thinking cap on.
And it was rather fun. I bought what they described as 'jumbo' sticks and fixing nine together plus two more on the back to hold it all in place I ended up with a 160cm square base to play with. When the glue on the back was dry - I used Collall all purpose which is new to me but I am finding it quite easy to work with, I gave it a coat of white gesso, dried and then covered with Distress Oxides. Next I stamped Lavinia Trees and Fairies, Inkylicious leaves across the top, grounded the Fairies and trees with distress ink and used Liquid Pearls to create some flowers.
Be warned, there are one or two more in production.
And a second one, a scene with a mixture of stamps from Sutter, Bee Crafty, Inkylicious and Art Impressions, all stamped in black archival and then the background added with Pan Pastels and Distress Inks, some glitter and Liquid Pearl berries.
And now for my Chocolate Baroque shares.

Lolly sticks are sometimes sold in craft shops too... In fact I have a rather large pack of those lying around untouched since I can't decide what do with them! Both scenes are beautifully made and I love the combination of stencilled background and stamping on your CB shares. Hope you get that kidney sorted out, Brenda. xx
A gorgeous selection of cards Brenda,
Have a lovely weekend

Such AMAZING creations Brenda, the popsicle sticks creation is so fun and very different, I have not seen those before. I have plenty of the sticks in a craft box from kids school/ art projects. They are widely available here in craft stores and dollar tree and I will have to make one of those too!

So glad I popped in and what a treat....Wonderful cards and loving the lolly pop creation and wouldn't it be fun if you had to eat all the lolly pops first instead of buying them? x. Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way, Miss Brenda. Like your dancing fairies, I wish I could wave a magic wand, and make you all better. You give so much to the rest of us...
All of your delightful creations brought back memories of the 1960s and 70s. I suppose as we get older, these days, with everything coming "back in style", more and more memories will be triggered from home decor to clothing fashion, to our own artistic craftiness! Dancing in the Moonlight reminds me of one of my favorite high school songs! And I've done plenty outdoors just like your fairies! Your girl silhouette is dressed just like "those days". Your CB rays look quite psychedelic, the next CB reminds me of nehru jackets and brocaded jackets of the 70s, and so do the rest of the Indian themed projects. They are all lovely, and made with such graceful hands through your grace-filled heart! Wishing you a fantastic week! hugs, de
So a little pause and some tea here...and commenting...
Love the scene with the fairies on the sticks-artwork; it is so magical-looking! And a great scene on your second card! Love the CB-nakes too! Favorite are 2 of them; the orange one and the black and white with a little red and the bricks; love how you used stencils here! Hope your weekend was a good one and that you started the week in a good way! Hugs, Gerrina
I hope you are feeling a little better now Brenda. Well, an amazing collection again!! Your lolly stick project is fantastic, looking forward to seeing the next in the series!! xx
Always love seeing your work, Brenda, but I'm in awe of the popsicle stick masterpiece! So sorry you had a flare & hope this week is better.
Oooh those fairies dancing transports me right into fairyland and wow the Indian elephants look absolutely grand in their ethnic splendour!!!
oh wow Brenda!
love them all!
gorgeous cards!
have a nice day
hugs
