Floral Frenzy

Good Morning peeps, Friday again. Not been too much creativity or posting from me this week as it's been a bit of a funny few days due to a rather horrid event crafty wise.

Something I though none of us could or would stoop to, became reality when we discovered this week that somebody had photographed a display card and passed it off publicly as their own DT work. The true artiste of that work is naturally devastated and I am sure the rest of blogland join me in sending you huge, huge hugs. As I said to you yesterday, the plagiariser recognised excellent work, but small consolation I know to be treated so dreadfully.

Addendum to original post of this morning:
Louise has just contacted me again and asked that I reveal that it was her card here (second on post) that was used. As a friend I am happy to do this for her and as you can see it was published on her blog last September, also here at about the same time and has been on display on the Tilda stand since that time.

Now today's new Polkadoodle challenge and this weeks it's my turn to host the challenge and surprise surprise there are flowers involved.......the theme is.........Summer Blossoms.

I'm still so enjoying playing with the new All Around and Everywhere CD and have used the blossom tree from the Floral Frenzy section, enlarging it slightly before printing off and cutting with a Nestie, then painting with Crackle Glaze. I made roses with paper from the Floral Fantasy section of the same CD and cut some swirls with a Sizzix die through the Big Shot.

I can`t believe anyone can do that? It makes me really angry. Did the artist sent a complaint to blogger? are they doing anything about it?

Beautiful card as always Brenda! Love you choice of colours, each card you make is jsut so stunning! x

I am dissapointed that someone could do that Brenda , i have always thought us crafters were decent people. What a shame.
I love your card though - my favourite colour combination- purples and lilacs. Wonderful tree, and gorgeous flourish

Wow! I love this card. The tree is simply stunning, and the colours are gorgeous.

What a shame someone had to stoop to cheating. We've had similar happen on a photography site I'm involved with. I don't know why they do it. They're bound to be found out eventually.

Really fabulous card Brenda. All the little details look wonderful.
Sorry to hear the tale of the stolen work, there really are some awful people out there. Can quite understand how upset poor Louise is about this as I'd be gutted if it happened to me.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

About Louise' card. What adispicable thing to do. Personally I think the guilty party should be named and shamed- it might act as a deterant to anyone else doing it at least.
Your card is beautiful and I like the look of this CD - as if I haven't got enough - but they don't take up much do they?

Hi Brenda what an awful thing to happen to your friend it must be heartbreaking for her to have her creation stolen and used by someone else.

Why on earth would anyone want to claim someone else's work, they can't be a crafter themselves! Love your work Brenda, so flowery and pretty.

Love that tree Brenda, and your roses complement it perfectly. It's one thing to make a similar card, but to use a photo of someone else's card - THAT'S DISPICABLE!

How terrible! I can't believe that a fellow crafter would do such a despicable thing. I, too, feel that they should be named. Unless this is something that they have worked out between the 2 of them. Doesn't sound that way, though. I believe that a public apology is in order! Stealing is stealing, whether it's a finished card or a digi image.

Every so often we are reminded that not everyone it is the decent sort we have come to expect in out wonderful warm caring community. This {expletive deleted} deserves to be named and shamed but that is Louise's choice, certainly any teams she is on and suppliers he/she (the culprit) designs for should be made aware of his/her conduct. And why do it for goodness sake CAS it by all means we are all doing that all the time conscientiously or not. Oh going to go and spit nails now

Hi Brenda, what a lovely card and I love the colours. Haven't visited blogland much recently - things haven't been going too well and I've lost my mojo a bit. Looking forward to seeing you and Chris in June - if I haven't got it back by then I'm sure I will after spending a day with you two. I'm sorry to hear what happened to Louise - that was awful. We all take inspiration from other people's work but to blatently copy something and claim it as your own is just not on - they should be named and shamed. Take care - Linda x

This is such a beautiful card Brenda, love the flowers. Sorry you've had problems with another crafter :( they are obviously jealous of your talent.

Hope you're having a great weekend.

Beautiful card Brenda. I can't believe someone would ever have the guts to say someones else work was there own.

Such a beautiful card, Brenda!

What has happened to Louise is downright disgusting. I agree with Linda W, this person should be named and shamed, even if it is only to protect other crafters - goodness knows how many times they have done this awful deed before! They should be named so that they publicly apologise to Louise.

Hugs, Sem x
