Grazing Cows and Spring Flowers

Morning Peeps, a bit of a bumper post as it's time to share some sneak peeks of upcoming new releases from Highlight Crafts Two Red Robins as well as our mid month shares at Stamping Sensations and We Love Stamping challenges.

I was so excited when I knew cattle were joining the Two Red Robin family and it takes me right back to childhood growing up with them. Mind you they still terrify me and despite all my Dad tried to instil into me, to this day I walk close to the headland when going through a field of them. Yet I have no issue with a field of Horses, I think with Cows it's the way they stare at you.

So above are the new Friesian Cows which come in different sizes to allow you to build up a scene with perspective. The wall is from Get to Work (also available individually) and From Afar (telegraph poles and wire).

There are also some Highland Cattle and market garden produce which I will share another day as well as a rather lovely Cat which you can see further down. I can't provide the links to the new goodies yet as they won't be on the Highlight Crafts website until 21st April where you will find them under Web Exclusives.

The Peony on my card above is from Vintage Inc onto a Gelli Plate circle,  stamped a second time onto card inked with Oxides, cut out and paper pieced, some stencilling and washi tape.

This is rather similar to one I blogged a couple of weeks ago but this time using Tulips from Vintage Inc, an Oxide background and stamping using the same inks and one of the lace stamps in the collection.

Finally the new Cat I mentioned, a simple card as I think the gorgeous cat with those green eyes needs to be centre stage. Remember, if I have tempted you to 'need' any of the new products you can get a 10% discount using the code Brenda10 also shown on the logo on my sidebar.

The field of cows with diecut finishing touches makes a brilliant masculine card and shows a scene I enjoyed for 30 years until our move last year,as always beautiful floral cards and a wonderful CAS design with the fabulous cat

WOW what amazing and such beautiful creations Brenda you have brought back so many memories for me with the cows, my mum always related a story to us that she was chased by cows once while pushing a pram through a field close to where she was born, she had to throw the pram over the hedge with her close behind, lol, I was also chased by them once when I had my horse I put my bucket of feed in the outside shelter while I went to get Timba my horse when I came back the cows were tucking in I retrieved the half eaten bucket but the cows were not happy, lol, oh how lovely to have memories. I also adore the gorgeous proud looking pussy ca and of course the florals are stupendous.

Again a post packed with eye-candy! It is true a caw can look at you as no other animal can... Love all the colours and the grungy tulips, but the blue flower one is my favorite... Hope you have a sunny day!

So many fabulous cards here Brenda, each one is beautiful and how glad I am we don't need to choose a favorite. I don't blame you for being a bit afraid of the cattle, there have been cases where they attacked humans so better safe than sorry and they do tend to stare. The cat is beautiful with those green eyes and love that you kept him (looks like a male to me :) as the focal point.
Hope you had a good Easter. It's been chilly here, and then snowed at the end of Sunday. Mother Nature is surely playing games over here.

Another super collection of your fabulous work Brenda. Love those cows, there just aren't enough in craftland!! We had several "special" girls in the herd that were gentle and kind and those not so special ones that kicked in the parlour!! It was the youngstock that always worried me, inquisitive and quick!! Funny how we don't miss the middle of the night calving xx

Had to smile at your comment about a field of cows compared to a field of horses! and understand completely pushing a horse and telling it to get out of the way is completely natural, not sure a cow will understand! As always a great set of cards, if I'm allowed a favourite it is the WLS one and that lovely peony, xx

You've created a wonderful, peaceful countryside scene with those lovely cow stamps, great depth and perspective- the wall and telegraph wires are great stamps too. The floral cards are as always beautiful and what a magnificent cat!

Another fab set of cards Brenda - the cows create a really wonderful countryside scene, and I adore your colouring and stencilled backgrounds on your floral cards. I'm always a little bit wary when out walking if there are cows in the filed ... you never know quite what they're thinking when they look at you!! Although last week when we were out in Derbyshire we passed a cattle pen with some in, and they seemed really curious and came to the fence as if they wanted us to stroke their noses ... though after a little debate we resisted!! xx

I am the same with cows, I don't like crossing a field with them in. I keep my head down and walk as fast as I can! Lovely cards this week, I especially like the second one xx
