Create with your Soul

Time for our monthly challenges at Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More where our themes are 'Anything Goes with a stamp and a die' and oooooops 'Anything Goes'.

To create my top card for Penny Black I used the reverse side of a piece of Centrua Pearl, a mask for the sun and Pan Pastels to create the background. Next I repeat stamped Penny Black Aspire, then used two Penny Black dies called Perched and Berry Branches cutting them from offcuts of black card and mounted them over the base stamping. I am popping over to the Snippets Playground with this on, won't have time for much of a play but better show my face as I don't want detention again.

My Stamping Sensations piece is one of the promo video samples I did for Tattered Lace using some stamps and matching Lily die bloom, all the decoupage layers are included in the set so it's really easy to cut in one go. The stamp set includes the background stamps plus one to add detail to the cut blooms and as with all Trio's an embossing folder to add more texture. All the stamping was done with distress inks and the colour dragged in and the larger Lily blooms added on top. The sentiment is a new one from Visible Image and I just love the font on this one.

I do hope you will join in our challenges this month as we have some awesome prizes as always.

Two beauties. Love all the dimension you've created with #1, using the similar foliage die over the pretty stamping. And of course, love that dark bird die silhouette enjoying the garden view. #2 - gorgeous colors, beautiful flowers. Can't tell for sure, but looks like some of your 'created flowers' popped over the stamped images, and what a perfectly lovely sentiment to express in words, what these flowers convey to the heart. TFS & have a great week.

Hi Brenda, it seems ages since I dropped by, which probably means it is ages, so I thought time I did. Your cards are both gorgeous. I like the combination of dies and stamps in the first and you've reminded me that I have the Aspire stamp, neglected and forgotten. It was such a favourite at one time so ime to get it out again, methinks. The dimensional flowers in the second are beautiful. Hoping to be back sooner next time :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Two absolutely beautiful cards Brenda! The berry bush and fence is very similar to (based on?) a PB stamp that I have, love and never use enough here! A beautiful scene there, so restful. And of course your second card is a stunner as well.

Lovely to see you in the Playground again. We know you're a busy girl so it's lovely to see you just whenever you manage to find time.

These are lovely Brenda. Thanks for your lovely message on my Blog today. Where the waiting for pages to dry is concerned, I am impatient too, but I really made myself put it to one side and chip away at something else each day. It was worth it, but blimey what a lot of work and detail! It was just something I wanted to do. I guess you know how that is too. Judy x
