More trees

Good morning to all my crafty friends, it doesn't seem possible that these are our last monthly challenges of 2012, so where did the year go ?

It appears that all of my DT pieces are rather scenic........... yet again I hear you say, but unless I've got a clear directive I always seem to revert to my comfort zone of creating little scenes with a good few trees thrown in for good measure.

The good thing is I think some of this months themes can be quite easily combined so hopefully I'll see you popping up at several of the challenges this time around.

The top card is my DT creation for Penny Black and More challenge where we have the theme 'It's Your Choice' and it's really quite a simple make, a piece of card stock masked top and bottom, Pan Pastels blended with a masked sun and over stamping in black archival with Penny Black stamps........... all listed on the picture thumbnail links below.

My next piece is the first of my Stamping Sensations DT piece where our theme is 'TreeMendous'........it's not as scary as it sounds as I think everyone has a Christmas tree stamp lurking somewhere..........using the Three Tree Trio from this months sponsors Visible Image who sell a fabulous range of good quality clear stamps. Some soft shading with Pan Pastels, a touch of snow glitter and a Lavinia stag stamp.

The card above is this month DT piece for Craft a Scene challenge, again soft sponging with Pan Pastels, some trees and the little cottage is from this month sponsor Robyns Fetish

Phew, nearly there this is my second piece for Stamping Sensations using a gorgeous large tree from Chocolate Baroque, smaller tree which is Stampscapes as is the fence and the little sheep are from Art Impressions which I gave a fluffy coat with liquid applique.

And finally just one more....................... yep, I could make tree cards all week and this is another one using the Three Tree stamp from Visible Image, this time embossed with Frantage plus some more around the edge of the base layer. The white trees were embossed with detail clear and then the whole piece distressed with TH mowed lawn, tea dye and a little over stamping round the edges with some music and holly stamps.

Enjoy your Sunday and thank you so much for dropping by.

Hi Brenda...such beautiful cards! In the first one I love all the soft colours with the silhouette effects. And I think you are brilliant with the scenery cards. Whoever ends up with these will be over-the-moon I think.

Good morning Brenda..yes the year is flying by now isn't it. What gorgeous scenes you have created. I really like Visible Image..I bought a couple of their stamps years ago and recently found them again...really great quality. I think at some point I will need to treat myself to some Lavinia stamps too....hmmmm...I wonder if Father Christmas is reading this. It's a cold frosty morning here and the sun is shining, perfect festive weather. Keep warm and keep crafting my friend,

Wow Brenda these are all just gorgeous, love how they all use trees but are all so different. I especially like the second card with the beautiful image of a deer. Hope you are feeling a little better today, it's a gorgeous day here, lots of white frost everywhere but clear skies and lots of sunshine, it's feeling really Christmassy.

HI Brenda, all your cards are so beautiful. I love the scenes that you create. My fav is the 3rd one with the two trees, amazing stamping to make it look like autumn leaves. Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement at my blog this morning, I'm very excited about my new opportunity. I'm so sorry that you have been unwell, I hope that that changes very soon. Take good care, Shirleyxx

Goodness Brenda, you have been a busy girl! These are all gorgeous. Not fair to have favourites but I really love the second and third ones. The scenes in both are just lovely. And that little house in the third one makes me think of a gingerbread house. Love the cute sheep too even though I know from long hard experience that there is nothing cute about a sheep!! Love what you've done with the Frantage too. Now that I've got most of my Christmas cards done apart from the family ones I might get a chance to play around with some things like Frantage and some of the ideas I've had!! I even managed to get my Christmas cake in the oven about 2 hours ago. Probably bacause I did the boring stuff like sorting my inserts and adding them to my cards at my crop yesterday!

Take care,

Kat xx

Much love

Brenda, I am exhausted just reading about what you have done for this week, and looking at your lovely cards. I love what you have done with that Robyn's Fetish image, and how did you make the glitter show up on your photo, mine never does. Your other cards are also beautiful. thank you for your comment on my Winter card this week, that was one that put itself together, just crying out to be opened up for an inside scene. xx Maggie
