A rather blue Chrismtas

Morning everyone, just a mega quick post with my mind month DT pieces for Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More.

My top card has been masked to allow me to create the central scene using Penny Black 4004K Treescape which I stamped twice and added some little deers from Hero Arts K5524, a sentiment and ribbon to finish. The shading has been done with Pan Pastels.

This is one I forgot to post the other day when it went up onto the challenge blog so thought I would share it today as I so love the black Labrador taking charge of the house and snowy garden.............. as they do as anyone who knows Labradors will be more than aware.............. or I could just be honest and say they are plain nosey.

I had been looking for some nice silhouette dog stamps for ages and was thrilled when I found Andover Rubber Stamps, they make stamps of just about every breed of dog you can think of and were even kind enough to make this one as a special order without the oval which surrounded this particular image. They also made me a personalised stamp using the dog you see above for the back of my cards. The other stamps are Stampscapes and colouring and shading done with Pan Pastels.

And before anybody asks......................the above card is from our dogs to other family dogs, I needed several of these and the girls all added their personalised paw prints to the insides......am I mad........... most probably yes !! But it's a happy kind of madness.

This is another made with the Three Tree Trio from our sponsor Visible Image, stamped very simply with green  archival ink and again some shading with Pan Pastels. The sentiment is Penny Black.

And a final piece using stamps from Chocolate Baroque and you got it.........Pan Pastels.

Have a good Tuesday everyone.

I don't know where to start with these but I do love that last one (predictable I suppose!!). No you're not mad - just entering into the fun of things - Is aw a Lab Retriever Guide Dog by the fish counter in Morrisons yesterday, not a sign of being distracted by food & so good that I had to stop & watch. Your matting & ribbony additions are a joy to see too. Hope you're feeling a bit better.

Oh my goodness...so many gorgeous cards. I can't even pick a favourite!
You do the best scene cards ever! You get great results with your pan pastels as all your scenes look so real!

I live near several great scrapbook stores but there is one shop that is very close, maybe 3 miles away, that specializes in cardmaking. They have supplies for everything, but their classes are all for cardmaking. They also have drop in tables where you can bring your supplies, hopefully purchase some more and use their ideas and a wee bit of guidance when they have a moment.
i am going there in the New Year to learn how to mask and to bring them a picture of your wonderful sun in the 3rd card and learn how to do some of these new things! You have inspired me.
Still sick but not too bad...just will be glad to shake it!

Brenda, I wanted to stop by and thank you for visiting my blog this morning. But then I became immersed in your own Floral Fantasies Blog. A gorgeous name dear to my heart. But more than that, I found each card utilized wonderful techniques that made your masterpieces so "fantastic" and enjoyable. I have become your most recent follower. Thank you for sharing your cards and photographing them in a way that shows off your layers, inks, and textures. Very pretty! ((holiday hugs))

You've been a busy girl Brenda. All lovely cards but as you could probably guess my favourite is the one with the Labrador. And of course it's not daft for your dogs to send cards to other dogs. What's wrong with that!?

These are such beautiful cards Brenda, I love the designs. Glad you found some silhouette Dog Stamps. Love the idea to give a card from your dogs to other family's dogs, especially cute and special with the pawprint inside. Love that idea!! Need to do that next year with my cats.

The others are just as gorgeous too, love the oriental theme on the last one, and the sponging and brayering looks beautiful as always.
Enjoy your weekend, and the Holidays!!
