Good morning, Saturday so time for a new theme at Allsorts and Gail has chose the theme of 'Food and/or Drink'. Prize come from AALL and Create.
So Pears and Nuts are food right? I have very little in the way of food related stamps so opted for this A&C image which I stamped, applied masking fluid then flooded the surrounding area with watered down DI. Removed the masking and added some light colouring to the image and some background stamping. I have a jar of these little metal clips so added three onto die cut circles.
Was worried the top card may be a tad too removed from the theme so created this in MCS, the Bunny family are sitting under the Horse Chestnut at the top of my garden having a picnic......indulge me. We do have three beautiful Horse Chestnuts and lots of Bunnies although they seem diminished in numbers lately, some of their holes have evidence of vigorous digging so figure the Fox fraternity are hungry with no Hens within reach.
I've been rather tardy making a start with the new Lavinia Starlight Whispers collection, did make my apologies to Noni when we spoke yesterday as I had planned cracking on after my kidney op, then last week had a UTI, something I hoped was behind me after that. But this week I've got some samples finished which I will be sharing over the next week or so.
Here are Bobby and Jemima the Robins, you'll find them following the link above. This one is for the Snippets Playground and the Path of Positivity challenge, the sentiment is from my Christmas Seasons stamp set available here which I think is fitting for their current option of Friends/Family.
My snippets, well, all are pieces from an A3 sheet of card, history of this is that I dropped one of my new Element ink pads (did say I have trouble holding them!) right in the middle of the sheet intended to cut a large card base. Those who use them know how juicy they are so I spritzed with water and put aside in the hope it would come in useful one day, could call it a very large snippet.
Rather shallow of me but I started with the stamps that appeal to me the most from the new collection and have used some repeatedly to make quite a few different designs, I've yet to ink up the tree house and little houses, they will get their outing soon.

Must admit my brain went straight to chocolate when I started reading your title but pears and hazelnuts ARE food and it's a super card, as is the one with the bunnies enjoying their picnic. Those robins are great stamps and I look forward to seeing what you make with the other new stamps in the set. Sorry to hear you've been under the weather again this week. Take care.
Both your cards for Gail's theme at Allsorts are lovely Brenda. I particularly like the first one.
Your Robins Christmas card is gorgeous - and thanks for sharing a pic of the snippets.
Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you up in the treehouse for Early Morning Breakfast Club shortly. xxx
Nuts and pears are definitely food, love your background on this one. The bunnies enjoying their picnic are adorable and the robin card is beautiful. Sorry to read that you had a UTI,
I love all of your cards the backgrounds are astounding colours are so warming too xx
All beautiful cards and stamps, love the Robins and cute bunnies but must admit the first one is my favourite.

Your AALL & Create cards are always fantastic Brenda! Love the look of these robins, another superb release from Lavinia!!! (By the way the latest release of AALL is also exciting!!). x
I love the green and pink combination on your first one, but the birds are my favorite! It stil are snippits and great that you used them... Hope you have a fun weekend!
Your cards are absolutely stunning, Brenda I love how you used the pears and nuts in your first card, and the bunnies having a picnic are just adorable. The robins on your Christmas card are so charming too. I hope you’re feeling better now. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations and inspiring us all.
Three super cards as always Brenda. The A&C one is very artfully done and for me pears and nuts are bang on for the food and drink theme. I too have very little in the way of food and drink stamps so would be thrilled with such a beautiful effort. The bunnies card is very cute though I must confess I don’t understand MCS or its capabilities, clearly you are extremely competent with it! Great to see the new Lavinia stamps inked up … I started off not liking the robins but having seen various makes with them they have grown on me and my finger is hovering over the order button! Must confess my favourites in this release are the little cottages and lamp post … I’ve already used them a couple of times with more blog posts waiting in the wings!
Sorry to hear you were unwell again last week and hope you’re feeling better xx
Such a beautiful Christmas card for our Family/Friends theme. The sweet birds sitting amongst the trees is a sight we often enjoy here during the holidays. Thanks for sharing this lovely piece with us at The Path of Positivity. Katrina
The pear and nuts make for a fun food card and I love those little metal clips on the side. Those munching bunnies are too cute on the swing and eating under the tree, what a fun scene that is. Loving how you turned an oops! moment into a great card! The ink spill looks great with those little robins. Sorry you've had a setback but hopefully are on the mend by now. Sending hugs for better days ahead.
Pears and nuts are definitely food Brenda, though must admit I'm not adverse to the chocolate either...as long as it has nuts in and preferably dark chocolate! All three cards are beautiful.
I think the robins are probably my favourite from the new Lavinia stamps. Hope you're feeling a bit better now. xx
They are definitely food Brenda, could eat them for a mini breakfast and be happy as long as served with coffee :) It's a beautiful card as is the bunny picnic card. They are so cute! And a beautiful Lavinia make using these pretty birds and foliage.
Praying for you B. A run of infection and op is no fun. Such beautiful cards I especially love the Robins card, yes understand re elements pads difficulty and juiciness, well done!
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x
