Glorious Daffodils and Sweet Peas

Morning everyone, Saturday morning and time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Lolo would like to see 'Anything but Square. Prizes come from Stampendous and will go into the February draws.

Youngest son has been in and out of hospital again, his ketone's went dangerously high, thankfully a change of insulin stabilised things. My Dad had Brittle Diabetes, then myself,  eldest daughter diagnosed last year and now Alex (other siblings worried!). And my planned procedure this week cancelled the evening before, imaging machine in theatre broke, no new date yet, am going to have to try and craft one handed as going stir crazy!

Above one I made some weeks ago for Highligh Crafts Flower of the Month for January which launches today. Lots of decoupage and a new Highlight stencil used on the base.

A second share which was a DT sample, a hexagonal box with a lattice lid using Tattered Lace dies (real oldies but goodies) with flowers printed from MCS A Mothers Glory, cut out and arranged around the box and a coordinating card to go inside.

And here are a few of my samples for Create and Craft TV's current Weekend Wonder, also made a few weeks ago. The collection consists of dies, coordinating DP's and USB.

Sweet Peas bring happy memories, my Dad grew them along the path leading up to the farmyard, lovely aromas especially in the evening.

Fabulous cards, Brenda, I love the depth created with the flowers, the colours of the sweet peas and the shapes of the cards.
Sorry to hear about your latest news, you don't need that kind of worry on top of your flare up, nor a delay in treatment! x

A trio of bright and beautiful floral cards Brenda, a promise of spring and the summer to come.
I can only imagine how frustrating it must be not to be able to use your hands properly, hope you don't have to wait much longer for that cancelled procedure.

What a wonderful collection of creations with all those pretty flowers! I just love how that pretty bow is nestled into the daffodils in the first creation. I also like the fact that the sweet peas brought back so many cherished memories of your father too. Sending healing hugs your way for better days ahead for you and your family. I hope you find improvement soon and I'm happy your youngest son found relief too!. Take good care.

All such beautiful floral cards Brenda, such wonderful dimension on each!
Crafting one handed is so hard I can only imagine, it was so hard for my to craft without my right thumb and I know my deep downward cut would have healed faster if I hadn't tried using that hand at all which would have meant no crafting as not possible with just the left hand. Not the same issue as you have but I totally understand your need to wanting to craft so we try what we can. Hopefully you can get an appointment soon!! Good luck and best wishes to your son as well as I'm sure it's so hard to figure things out but hopefully with your experience and that of your daughter he will learn to manage the diagnosis well.

Dearest B.,
Im sorry for all medical challenges for yourself and your dear ones, praying you manage 🙏 one handed and have surgery successfully soon.
These are stunningly beautiful cards, a blessing you work so prolifically as well as beautifully well ahead.
Praying successful op soon on agenda with zero machine malfunctions.

I grow sweet peas every year along our North facing fence, and give most away, as the oldies love the bunches mixed with some early roses.
2 weeks ago with another rose loving friend we scored a great saving as our local nursery had a carpark sale. Our potted roses (5 for me, 4 for for her) were $5 each. Online prices varied from $22 to $50 each for them dry rooted!

Best saving ever.
God is so good.
She took her 4 potted roses home in her car for 6hrs trip along with some other bargains at local opportunity shops (charity store think you call them). She was visiting for a week, as it's a hot summer here, is lovely swimming weather. Blessed indeed with our beaches.
Prayer hugs,
Shaz in Oz. X

Ciao Brenda, quante meraviglie ci mostri oggi, nonostante tutto!!!
Ti abbraccio

An wonderful collection of cards, Brenda. I love the sweet pea cards, they brought back memories of when I was in hospital for the birth of my daughter many years ago. My three year old niece came in clutching a bunch of sweet peas from her garden for me. (In the days when flowers were allowed in hospital.) The perfume was amazing! xx

Sorry to hear you and your son are still having a rough go!

What exquisite work Brenda - you constantly amaze me with your results! I too love Sweetpeas, and your work using the graphics is amazing.
So sorry to hear your procedure was cancelled - how frustrating!
I could well imagine your other offspring being worried about diabetes with that family history, and a second sibling affected.
Blessings
Maxine

Such intricate work on all the projects shown here B.

Sorry to hear your procedure was cancelled. Hope it can be rescheduled quickly. Gosh, crafting one handed is nigh on impossible. You are a trooper. xxx

Beautifully unique floral creations! I've always loved Sweet Peas, too. We sure need a cure for diabetes! Sorry your procedure had to be canceled. I'm sure you'll find a way to craft one handed, but it's not easy in my experience after my shoulder surgery. I couldn't go 6 weeks without making a card, though!
