Winter blues

Morning everyone! At Allsorts, this weeks host is Lorraine with the theme of 'Anything Goes with the option of Winter Blues'. Prizes for this week and the next two will be announced on 27th January and a host of goodies from OakwoodStamp AddictsSizzix and AALL and Create.

A heads up that Oakwood and AALL and Create both have new releases this week on Create and Craft TV, for former Tuesday and A&C a Pick of the Day at 6pm Thursday. Below a few of my Oakwood shares, A&C ones later in the week, I just fell in love with them.......you'll understand why when I share.

Update on Daisy as so many have kindly asked, she's doing OK, toxicology came back and confirmed as expected the tumour was malignant and spread into tissue but they feel confident they removed all affected areas at this point. The Vet will monitor her going forward to see if any further surgery is required. She wasn't keen on eating earlier in the week but a roast chicken M&S no less, did the trick!

I have two Allsorts cards to share plus one for the Snippets Playground, the first above using a collection of Lavinia stamps to create a blue tone on tone card using Versafine Clair Twilight for the stamping and Oxide Faded Jeans for all the shading. And of course the obligatory glitter here and there.

A second card using the same Stampendous Peony Pair stamp I used last week available from Oakwood, this time stamped into some inky cardstock which I have a feeling was a Gelli Plate mop up, I keep a draw of ready inked backings and at times don't remember exactly how they came about. The image was stamped with Versamark and embossed with a Stampendous sparkle EP, the flowers bleached out, left to dry and colour added. A die cut sentiment to finish.

A few of my Oakwood shares for Tuesday and the first is going over to the Playground to help celebrate Miss Di's (and partner in crime Sarn) eleventh anniversary of running the Playground, it takes time and commitment to stick with it so huuuuuge congratulations.

And a photo of my inky bit and pieces used, the torn piece in the background is what became the scroll.

I do hope you will find time to join us at Allsorts this week.

Another fabulous set of cards, Brenda. My favourite is the first one, absolutely stunning! I’ve just reorganised all my Lavinia Stamps so it should be easier to find the ones I want to use. I started collecting them over 15 years ago, not realising how my collection would grow!
Good news that Daisy’s op went well, hope she fully recovers soon. xx

A lovely blue toned Lavinia scene. Your second card has a beautiful background which is so effective. Like you I have left over backgrounds which I struggle to identify! Lots of lovely samples too.

I was ooooing over your first card but then I got to the second with the beautiful blue peony. Love this one. I am trying to get back into blogging and have loads of unshown makes from the past 2 years. I might have something suitable. Pleased to hear that Daisy is doing ok. hugs Mrs A.

The parchment paper with sentiment is perfect.
Great use of burlap on the fourth!

Grazie.
Buon inizio di settimana, abbracci!

Brenda this is a fabulous selection - I love your blue fairie scene - that is amazing! Love the floral blue on also - so glad I am not the only one with backgrounds that I have forgotten how I made :)
Your three other cards are also a feast for the eyes - your talent knows no end!
Glad to hear that Daisy appears to be on the mend - poor pup.
Blessings

As usual - there's a lovely collection of art on your lovely cards B.

Thank you for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. Once you've finished playing on the swings, you're welcome to join the usual suspects up in the Treehouse for a hot beverage and toasted crumpets in the Sunday Morning Breakfast Club! xxx

Marvelous collection of beautiful cards, Brenda! I especially LOVE your Lavinia card with the incredible monochrome theme and lovely masking. But it is the Believe card with those amazing Stampendous Peonies! I'm glad to hear about Daisy! Many years ago, our kitty was diagnosed with a malignant thyroid tumor. We had the vet remove it despite the fact that he said it would only prolong his life by a year or two. Fast forward another 16 years! That kitty was a great pet and lived to the ripe old age of 21. Just wanted you to hear a positive story! LOL
big hugs,

OH! I'm, so glad to hear the good news from the vet Brenda. You all must be so happy too.
Your cards are amazing, Love them all, but the Lavinia has the edge with the scroll card methinks. Although the blue and the pinks agree very beautiful too.
