Wonders of Nature in Winter

Like many of us we've had a lot of hard frosts this last week and yesterday at -6 also freezing fog along with the most amazing hoar frost so I had to venture outside into the gardens and take some photos of what to me is yet another example of the wonders of Nature. The cobwebs in particular were sensational so there's a few of those.

Just as well I did it yesterday as the 'white stuff' arrived in the Fen's overnight and Rosa had her first venture in snow, it seemed to be a bit of shock losing her feet into it as immediately she'd done the necessaries jumped onto a bench by one of the doors with that sad Lab look asking to come back in, the other three just looked at her in confusion, it's old hat to the senior girls.

I also have a share for the Snippets Playground, a Christmas Wreath using lots of snippets for the stamped Penny Black Poinsettias which were then die cut, it also has some lights entwined into it but my attempts at a photo of it lit didn't work too well! I do hope there's something warming up in the treehouse and I don't mean just hot chocolate!

Thanks for taking a peek, keep warm.

Oh my goodness these photos are fantastic Brenda! How magical and beautiful everything looks dressed in frost- those cobwebs!!
We have snow too- Marvin a bit bemused at first, wondering what all the cold white stuff was doing in his garden- but soon decided it was fun and had a wonderful game playing with other excited dogs in the woods!

Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing them. My car looked like that yesterday. We didn't get any snow last night, but it was very icy today. I had to delay my walk. Love your wreath and that perfect bow xx

Wow! Amazing photos. Never such cobweb with frost and never imagine it snow has this effect on such tiny delicate web. Thank you for sharing such unique scenery, from someone in tropical land who has never seen real snow before, these photos are eyes-opener for me.
Your wreath is stunning too!

Thanks for submitting homework to the Snippets Playground! Once you've finished sliding down the slide, please come up to the Treehouse Bar to enjoy something that might just warm the cockles of your heart! I think Di just heated some mulled wine with all the gubbins! xxx

Oh my - I don't know where to start, Brenda! The photographs are just stunning and you captured nature's fleeting beauty perfectly. The wreath is breathtaking and I had to do a double take when I realised the poinsettias were stamped and cut because they look so real!
Hope you are well.

I'm Super impressed with your gorgeous wreath, it is scrumptiously beautiful. As for the temperature, we have had the same, but no hoar frost as thick as you. You HAD to venture out into the cold to get the most impressive piccies. I love each and every one. What a treasure of photos, and thank you for sharing them.

Oh my goodness those images from the frost are incredible. We have not yet had those cold of temperatures here.

Your wreath is absolutely stunning, Brenda! I want one--haha! Love seeing the frosty pictures--so beautiful as long as you can keep warm! Poor puppy! It must be a shock to experience snow for the first time. I remember our first dog absolutely loving it when we took him up to the mountains. He was running & jumping & smiling--the happiest we ever saw him.
