Hot pink in Tuscany and a winner

Morning Peeps I'm sorry my blog visits have been patchy this week, lets just say it's not been the most straightforward of weeks and my time has been diverted elsewhere thanks to the malicious activities of one sad crafter spreading a net of inexactitude. If I needed reminding why I don't do FB, this was it. But myself and my team mates at my three challenges really appreciate the kind words of support we have received from so many of you.

So time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week Mervi would like to see cards for any 'Celebration' but not Birthdays. Our prize come from Chocolate Baroque and I have a few more CB shares further down from my post on the CB blog yesterday.

Lesley will be back on The Craft Store on Friday 4th June at 9am and 1pm with different stamps for both shows featuring old and new along with loads of inspiration using them.

When I made this one for a TV programme for Chocolate Baroque I was trying out some new Distress Glazes, this one Kitsch Flamingo added over the CB Tuscany scene stamped simply with Versafine black.

Have to say I do rather like the effect they give but I think Ranger will see a good income from them as they don't go far at all. I have used the pot of Speckled Egg on just four creations and it's almost empty, but given the idea is to cover the whole image not too surprising I guess.

Around the borders I stamped one of the new CB Vertical Sentiments, matted onto coordinating card and an organza bow to finish.

Details of stamps used can be found on my post at the CB blog here.

Before I go, I need to announce the winner of the prize from last Saturday's post celebrating Allsorts 12th Birthday, the lucky recipient is Sarah (Mallows Crafty Bits), well done, please mail me with your full name and postal addy so I can send your goodies.

Have a lovely weekend all, in the UK we have a long Bank Holiday weekend so fingers crossed the weather is on the up and the sun shines.

Beautiful cards, I spotted the Tuscany scene one over at Allsorts and had to come for a closer look. That stamp is now on my wishlist!

Beautiful cards Brenda! I haven't got any Distressed glaze, yet..., but I do have many Wow pots (smaller than the Distress pots) and I am yet to finish even one in 15+ years of crafting! x

A gorgeous collection of cards Brenda. Sorry to read that you've been having a hard time with FB trolls. I do FB to keep up with a lot of the craft things that are on there but it does annoy me when people start ranting. If you have nothing nice to say why bother saying it.

Keep up the great work that you all do with the challenge blogs.
Sue xx

Loving the bright pink on the first card, I have that stamp and can't wait to use it. The colour dripping down the cones is wonderful.

I am so glad the weekend has brought brighter skies and hopefully an end to the difficulties of the last week. I bought some distress glaze a while back and haven't really used it yet so thanks for the explanation of how it should be used! It is great how it adds an all over shine and transparent colour. Love your other cards too especially the dripping rainbow xx

Wow, the bright and vibrant pink of your Tuscany card makes it really impressive, such a dream. Love so very much also the cards for CB that I already admired there and especially the pine cones one with that dripped rainbow, it's really striking!!!
Scusa, ho scritto di getto in inglese, ormai è un'abitudine :D
Un abbraccio, spero che tu abbia un po' di pace e di bel tempo nella tua meravigliosa tenuta. Buon weekend!

These are all so beautifully done with these pretty stamps and choices of colors. The glaze sounds interesting and looks gorgeous, but thanks for the heads up that it won't last long.

It was a good decision to bring the issue going on on FB up on the challenge blogs. We can only be silent for so long! And one just has to take a look at the long term design teams you've been having to know that these challenges are not only a joy to take part in but also to be a part of the team (s) as you are doing an outstanding job in keeping them all running so well and organized.

The Kitsch Flamingo looks rich and gorgeous, haven't used glaze, still find it a bit scary. Your other two cards are beautiful, love the classic design and great sentiment. And who doesn't love rainbow colours.
Happy crafting

Beautiful pink card, but I really love the 2nd card, Brenda! I don't do Facebook, either. Sorry the nastiness even included a crafter. I'm trying to focus on the positive which isn't so easy these days with all the ridiculous talk & behavior in the world these days! Truly grateful for my crafting friends!
