Chocolate Baroque Summer and new shows

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts, our host this week is Helene whose theme is 'Summertime' and we have a pretty Chocolate Baroque stamp as a prize called Lady in Hat who I think looks very Summery.

Lesley will be sharing a new and very exciting collection of stamps on Hochnda TV on Tuesday 7th July at 10am and 3pm, these are something really different and you won't want to miss out.

have used several Chocolate Baroque stamp sets here including June FairyGlorious Spring and Wisteria Lane onto an inky background of Oxides and alcohol inks which I am finding are rather a fun combination to play with and seems to work best on a smooth finish rather than glossy cardstock. The sentiment is also from the June Fairy set

And carrying on the Chocolate Baroque theme, heres a couple I posted on the CB blog yesterday using the beautiful Katya.................keep your eyes on the samples on Tuesday's shows and you will see she's a lady of many disguises!! I also used Just Butterflies and sentiment from Words of Love .

This one uses elements from the new Timeless set onto an inky background with random stamping using Ephemera 2, Edgy Edges and another sentiment from Words of Inspiration, it's a set I bought many years ago in Glenda days long before I was a DT member with them and still probably my favourite CB sentiment set.

Have a good weekend all and as always many thanks for your kind words and visits.

Fantastic cards Brenda, but have to say the top one if my favourite. I wish the it felt like summertime here in Hampshire, but the last few days have been quite chilly at times.

Amazing work as ever Brenda - love your first card - that background is stunning. The watches are a great masculine 'make' and I too love that sentiment

An improvement required from the party hangover I think!

Ah, I have and use that word set, too Brenda. I haven't used it in a long while, though. Glenda and I went back many years. I first met her at Port Sunny, when she came to speak with Jenny (Artistic Stamper) who I was working for that day - oh the days of Radiant Pearls :-) It was before she bought the company that later became Chocolate Baroque. I have quite a few of those. I love her Yahoo Group. Gosh that's a long time ago!
Love your fairy card. That inky background is gorgeous. I haven't tried alcohol inks with Oxides...h'mm, I'm tempted, though I only have a small number of the later colours, so mine are mainly Adirondacks, lol. It turned out beautifully! Your highlights are perfect.
Lovely samples - she must be so grateful to have you. Love the triptych. It's a long time since I made one of those, too, though I do have plans if my arch dies ever turn up!
You've done yourself proud, today. Gorgeous art!

Oh my goodness, what a glorious background you've given the June Fairy Brenda. It looks wonderfully other-worldly. The arched triptych is lovely too - I'm rather liking the dignified Katya - and you've created another beautiful detailed collage background for your third card.
Enjoy your weekend,
Vicky x

Another terrific trio Brenda. Such lovely colours on your summer card and the bubbly background is intriguing. Katya really is a beauty and the arch gatefold card is the perfect shape for her stunning headpiece!! I love the aged paper with the bits and pieces behind the timepieces on the last card xx

Great cards, as ever. I really love the backgrounds on all 3 cards, all so different and yet all so wonderful. I will have to try alcohol ink with oxides as I have never thought of doing that before xx

wow the colours on your first card are just so intense - beautiful scene. I have the lady on the second lovely card, inked and used her, but she's not made it onto a card yet lol! Great incorporation of the rings onto your third inky card.

Wow!!
