Morning Peeps, a scheduled post as we are away on holiday so fingers crossed Blogger is not having one of his hissy fits.
It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts where our host is Kath and she has chosen the theme of 'Buttons and Bows' and for the winner we have a some new release dies from Tattered Lace as well as a bundle of ribbons. This is the first of three fortnightly challenges during the busy holiday season.
It only occurred to me as I started writing this scheduled post that it's Poppies once again, clearly I more obsessed with them than I realised and certainly have an unhealthy amount of Poppy stamps.
This one is fairly new, I didn't buy it when it was first released but of course before long I had to have it. I stamped it using Distress Markers direct to stamp and used a die to cut the top section so that some of the Poppies popped up over the aperture. To do this I cut around the Poppies in the centre and then placeed the bottom of the die behind them so only the top and side are cut with it. The sentiment is also Penny Black and I mounted the top on foam to place over it. Some ribbon across the bottom and tiny buttons to embellish.
Have a good weekend and please do pop over to the challenge blog to see the inspiration on display from my teamies.

Amazing poppies!!! I love poppies but I don't know why I have no poppies stamps. Curious fact, I have to remediate at this! LOL :D
Love the way the poppies pop out and the framed look of this warm card! The tiny buttons are so cute!
Hope you are well and are enjoying your holiday in Italy and France with your talented son!! :D Here it's very hot, but it seems that it will rain...

Beautoful card, hope you are having a lovely hol
Love the way you've used this poppy stamp, Brenda - it looks fab cut that way. I also love your buttons - I have lots of little buttons somewhere...but I also have some button brads that I used to use a lot. Sadly, I used all my black ones and only have a few white left. They were my favourites.
Beautiful shades of red and a pretty red ribbon to complete a beautiful card.

Thankfully blogger has not thrown a hissy fit as this card is a joy to the eyes Brenda - poppies and all. Love how you have partially cut the aperture and left the poppies free to wave in the breeze.
Blessings
Maxine
Beautifully stamped poppies! I too tend to favour certain images and find I have a plethora of choice when it comes to butterflies, trees and wild grasses! I hope you get decent weather where you are, rather than the far too hot temperatures we had and the now cold and miserable weather we suffer here.... x
Beautiful card with a gorgeous image Brenda, enjoy your holiday.

Hi, B! You know what they say about an addiction to anything Poppy? LOL - they certainly are beautiful flowers, aren't they? And once again, they don't do well in Florida, but I do appreciate seeing photos of them, and your amazing cards! Your color choices and designs always perk me up.
