Perfect Pairs and some family photos

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week I am your host and my theme is 'Perfect Pairs'. As it was my Birthday a couple of days ago I am giving a prize of a Heartfelt die and matching stamp set - a perfect Pair!!

This lovely Penny Black stamp has become a favourite already and this time I went for the intensity of deep blue and purple. I first masked the edges of the focal card and added Distress Inks to just the top corner and did the same on the envelope using a post it note to mask off the section to add the name and address. On the card I removed the masking tape before stamping the blooms, but left it in place on the envelope when stamping. I also added some scrip onto the card using a really old Hero Arts stamp called Old French Writing, I've had it for years.

And a quick make using an old White and Co., box which was just too nice to throw away, the base was black so I left that as it was then covered the top which was white with some DP and stamped with a Penny Black Poppy, added some ribbon and made a matching tag.

And I thought I would share a few recent photos......................

I love this picture of Anysia taken last week, her baby Clover who's just had her first Birthday seems to be grinning at the camera and Ben's just had a haircut, rather a drastic one for a Section D if you ask me
Poppy sporting her new pink collar after having a trim up, isn't she a pretty girl
Treat time - at the back left Daisy and her sister Lily and in the front from left Holly, Pixie and Poppy - looks like some weeding's required after all this rain
Alex with Leia doing a spot of bouldering in Fontainebleau on the way back to Chamonix and the Italian Alps where he and Zoe both have races coming up
And George just chilling on his favourite cushion, at ten he's allowed to do that just as often as he wants

I do hope you will pop over to the challenge blog and see the inspiration on offer from my team mates and also join in this week.

I just saw the latest Penny Black release... so many gorgeous landscapes!!! and I'm considering grabbing the very same flower stamp you used on that beautiful first card. Great make over of the box and lovely photos of the family, Brenda! I hope you had a great Birthday. xx

Gorgeous matching set, lovely colours and flowers. Where would we be without our beloved dogs! I have my son's golden lab here for her hols just now, they have such lovely natures but she's like a bull in a china shop, just about knocks you over when you come in after being away and my dogs just about get floored when the doors opened to let them go outside. Nothing ladylike about our Rosie lol. Carol xx

What a lovely post Brenda, both your makes are wonderful, the purple richness of the card and matching envelope is really striking. I always love it when you share your photographs and it was particularly lovely to see Ben (and his hooman!!) this time. He looks like a naughty schoolboy whose Mum has taken the kithen scissors to his fringe!! I confess to having pulled Surprises mane, to half it's length, this week. Her Cushings has really taken hold this summer and she has quite a thick coat and was sweating out in the field. I might even have to clip her if the heat continues. She seems to have aged so much since her incident on New Years Day or maybe it is just because Wills has that young look about him that I am more aware of her advancing years. Every day with her is precious now. Hope you are enjoying the dry spell xx

Gorgeous cards Brenda. I love the blues and purples on your first card, especially against that shade of green. Your doggies look so lovely altogether, I just wonder what's holding their interest for them all to sit so still. Our 2 were both groomed yesterday, just in time for this hot weather. They dislike going, but they smell so nice and are so soft when they come back x

Your card and enveloppe look so beautifully tranquil and soft! And the box looks like an item that can light up a table, shelf or something else just by putting it there...

Two fabulous projects, B, and so elegant! I am completely in love with the "be yourself" creation, and that brilliant use of color! The asked backgrounds and framing set the delicate flowers off so beautifully. LOVE IT! Thank you for sharing your fun photos! It's always nice seeing personal photos of my blogging friends. Thanks for your kind comment on my blog this morning. Your weather certainly sounds "multi" seasonal! Wow! Thus far, our summer pattern is mostly normal heat-wise, but the normal humidity and rain patterns are a bit skewed. It seems it is our winter weather that is so strange here. Hopefully big changes will be made in many areas of human life styles in the next few decades. Thanks for sharing! hugs, de

Many happy returns B, I love these card sets too, well done... and the pets well, they’re simply gorgeous.
I really do love dogs, when they’re someone else’s 😁 they’re very cute and obviously so very loved all of yours... must cost a bit to feed them, as they’re all big pups. Think your ten year old is the cutest, so know how he feels. 😉
