A very good morning Peeps, it's Saturday so that means it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts and this week Kath would like us to use 'At least two Design Paperes'. We have two prizes this week, a pretty paper pad to go with the theme and some dies from Tattered Lace.
I made this card absolutely ages ago and it's been sitting in my picture file waiting for an opportunity to use it so Kath's theme was the perfect opportunity. The image is a lovely wood mounted stamp called Asia Poppy from Hampton Arts, it was one of the very first stamps I bought so must be at least fifteen years old.
My starting place was to ink the stamp with Distress Markers and spritz with water before stamping and then cut out with a fancy die and lightly ink the edges. The papers are G45 and I made the single flower from an offcut from the same paper pack.
My second card feaures one of the lovely Art Deco dies from Tattered Lace, this one is called Cocktail Hour, I paper pieced the ladies dress and parasol, used Victoria border to cut the bottom panel, added a bow and Rare Earth sentiment.
I hope you will join us this week and please do pop over to the challenge blog and see what my team mates have made to inspire you.

Gorgeous cards Brenda, I especially love the black & white design, very elegant ! I hope you are doing well, take good care, Shirleyxx
Stunning cards Brenda, what a beautiful mix of papers and stamps! Loving the pretty girl die, and what a great idea to use designer paper with the die. Not sure why I always reach for plain paper when using dies, must be a habit. Hope you have a good weekend!
Such a beautiful oriental card, I love the pink and blue together in these gorgeous papers.

Beautiful cards!! Both are gorgeous! I always have trouble using pattern paper on my cards.
I can't choose a favorite today, your cards are very different but both awesome!!! Amazing oriental look in the first one, the papers used and the diecuts compliment perfectly the lovely poppy!! The flower is a delight with that paper! The second one is stunning, so elegant with that embossing on the back and the border! Absolutely LOVE the lady and the paper piecing on the dress with that dp!!

Two lovely cards! The first made me smile because I had a LO in my hand last week by tidinging my craftroom with the same blue-ish DP on it... and I just love Art Deco stamps/motiv and cards...so that is my favorite. Super how you incorporated the bow on this card! Hope you had a good weekend!
What beautiful cards Brenda - both so elegant and serene

Love both of these, Brenda! I can never find inks to match my papers--part of why they are mostly unused, but yours look perfect! The second card is so unique & lovely! Hoping your friends survived the hurricane without damage--so scary.
