Good morning all you crafty Peeps, I hope you week is going well, it's my turn to post over at the Chocolate Baroque DT blog again today sharing some more of my makes using the stamps that Lesley showcases on Hochanda in August, the first show featured a wonderful collection of Vintage inspired floral stamps and the second show was all about Winter and Christmas. I will share a few of my samples for both shows with you.
Starting with the card at the top which features Flora Musica I stamped onto a Distress Oxide background and the used DI's to colour the image. Using Decorative Edges I stamped some random harlequins using the same Oxide inks, a little Butterfly from Just Butterflies and sentiment from Words of Inspiration which I think is my all time favourite Chocolate Baroque sentiment set.
I am also tucking in an entry for the new Butterfly Challenge, I'm ashamed to say I have not joined in for weeks but just happened to see the new theme pop up on my dashboard and knew I had a card in my gallery that would fit in a treat, the theme is of course a Butterfly plus the choice of Silhouette and/or Indigo, I think I have ticked sufficient boxes with this one. The image is Stampendous and the sentiment Penny Black.
For this card I again created an Oxide ink background and the overstamped with the holly from Winter Birds using Versafine blue ink. The central panel has a sentiment from the new Christmas Word Plate and again the same holly around the edges.
This one was a bit of an experiment !! Yet another Oxide ink background............yes I am a bit obsessed with them and over stamped with Harlequin Bouquet which I stamped with Versafine black and coloured in with the same DI's. I then covered the whole piece with three layers of Versamark and heat embossed each layer with detail clear poweder and then the madness set in..........I cut the piece into seven piece and rearranged onto a piece of coordinating cardstock, but do quite like the finished effect.
For my final card I used Kraft card, a mask and a white inkpad to create the Christmas bauble shape and with the mask still in place stamped the house from New England Winter using Gathered Twigs DI and finally the little sentiment set from Frosty Trees and a white bow to finish.
As always my thanks for popping in today and I hope I have inspired you to go check out the lovely stamps from the shows.

Brenda these cards are all stunning - each in it;s own unique way - love your DOX backgrounds, and the fabulous quotes. Your butterfly one I think is my favourite - your stamping and inking is so clever I thought there were multiple layers on it. The white on kraft card is really dramatic.
Blessings
Maxine
beautiful cards Brenda I love the last one

Hello Brenda,
So pleased to see you in the butterfly garden with this lovely silhoutte card. I like all the cards you have displayed but oh my goodness that harlequin card cut up into pieces and reassembled is the bees knees. Such a great idea. One for the ideas box. Thankyou for being first into the garden. Hugs Mrs A.

What a beautiful arrangement of cards again Brenda. Loving those distress oxide backgrounds you created, and great mix of stamps! Love each one of these cards!
Oh, such amazing collection of cards!! The first one is my favorite for the colors and the Van Gogh's sentiment, but also per the fab CB stamp! But love also all your other cards, especially the last one, such brilliant use of the mask!
Hope that your vacation in Italy will be fabulous, here fall is coming too, but there is surely a loveliest weather than in England!
Hugs!

Well, I don't know where to start, some fantastic images, sentiments and designs. While they are all fabulous if I had to choose it would have to be the Butterfly challenge card, it just stands out so much, even with the butterflies.
