Travel, discover, dream and some new Tattered Lace releases

Morning Peeps, time for our May challenge at  FlonzCraft Vintage Stamping Challenges  and this month our theme is 'Holidays and Travel'. As always there if a fabulous $20 on line store voucher to be won from FlonzCraft.

Today also sees the launch of a four day deal on Crate and Craft TV so I can share some of my makes for the programmes, so it's a bit of a photo heavy post.

I had to think long and hard about my Flonz card then the idea clicked into place when I saw an old vintage map on the internet and printing that off was my starting point. It wasn't a very clear map but the colour was right and I only wanted the map to be vague in the background. I added some bronze dimensional past through a mask and whilst that was drying stamped and paper pieced the 50's Flonz image. I added some calico which had been dye in tea, some sea shells and a piece of the map rolled up to look like an old map scroll. The sentiment is computer generated.

Using the new extra large essential hearts coming up in today's shows

Using the new Polar Bear and Santa sentiment which is so pretty and delicate yet cut's like a dream, here I have used 350gsm glitter card and it cut with just one run through the machine

Using another of the new sentiments and again cut with ease on heavy glitter card

Using the new heart swing dies also new in today's shows, along with the new Rudolph
(photo's a bit wonky, not the easiest shape to photograph)

The Polar Bear again, he has to be my favourite from today's releases and you get the cut out snowflakes to use on their own as I have done here

Have a lovely week one and all.

Hello little busy bee !!!
Your cards are fabulous, as always !

yes in Vendée, it is very nice in general. I live in the North of France, and we do not have high temperatures, at least not often enough for me! While people are very warm, too warm in my area (Nord / Pas-de-Calais, Picardy), the air is breathable, there is always a little wind. The heatwave lasted several days elsewhere, but here only two days lol!
Hope my english is ok ? Thanks Google lol !!

Have a nice day my friend ! xxx

Hello Brenda
Great cards today. The Christmas creatures are gorgeous but I have my eye on the swing card die, I do like a card base that is a little bit different.
My new laptop was waiting for me when I came home from work today so I am going to spend this evening getting used to windows 8. Then I can get back to blogging. The ipad is great for browsing the internet but rubbish for blogging.
Take care

Ohhh...so many beautiful cards. I do not know how you do it...
Week after week, you turn out gorgeous cards. I do not enough mojo to stretch that far.
Still struggling here to geta routine so i can create more. With the grandkids around the corner, I am out of my craft room more and more. They walked by to see the glowing orange sunset nightbefore last. The wildfires all across the province have Vancouver and area under a cloud of smoke and ash. Creates some beauitful sunsets. The sun glowed like molten metal!
Riding lessons and soccer camp cheering from the bleachers, keep us busy too. Will have to email you a photo of Little Miss C on her pony, Petunia! Next on her agenda is a horse trailer as she would like to join Pony Club. At this age my girls were well into Pony Club and showing their pony. A whole new world opens with a horse trailer! lol

The first card made me snile. I collect seashells whenever we travel and toss them into a big glass vase when we are home. I really enjoyed your shells on this beautiful card. The vintage map was so perfect for this scene.

The die cut cards are beautiful too. I am trying hard to stay out of the shops till I get my last corner of the craft room unpacked...as use up more of my stash! But i may just have to have those hanging sentiment dies!
