More Nicecrane and Penny Black

Happy New Year and welcome to our first challenges of the year at Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More and our themes are Ribbons and Bows and Love and Romance, I am thinking those two could be combined quite nicely.

As Ignacio is our Stamping Sensations sponsor this month I have used one of his new Nicecrane images from the Isoda Koryousia design sheet using three of the images to make a Kinetic card and these Graphic 45 DP's compliment the colours in the images so well. I added some ribbon and thread, some Japanese beads and coins and stamped three sentiments from a really old cube which I think is JudiKins.

For my first Penny Black piece I have gone with gold embossing on black something I don't tend to use very often but quite like the effect of the lovely scrolle heart PB stamp along with the Graphic 45 DP's. The little sentiment is also Penny Black and the hearts Memory Box.

A second one for Stamping Sensations using Ignacio's Kate Greenaway 3 design sheet, I just love piking out those lovely aqua colours.

And just the one more using Penny Black Floral Thread background embossed with detail gold and then inked over with distress inks, some lace, ribbon and die cut hearts plus a FlonzCraft sentiment.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Your beard embellishment on the first is an absolute delight & I love the way you have layered the cord over the sheer ribbon. Your sec on one is my favourite with the classy colour combination & the striking way you have echoed the scrolle heart with your hanging die-cut hearts. Your textures on the Kate Greenaway are so in keeping with the smocks & little girls of that era, the lacing is beautiful & I can see your delight with the aqua elements.Your final sample again catches my eye with your lace being so apt with that stamped background.

Amazing cards, Brenda! They are all stunning! Love the fold and orient feel on the first one. Black and gold are magnificent together on your second card. On your third card has so interesting elements and I love the big blue bow. Your last card is my favorite. Love the lacy background and colors on it.
Brenda, you probably never have to worry about lack of ideas. I wish you have time and health to make them happen in 2014.

Hi, Brenda! I have pinned all four of your cards. Each one has special design elements that i hope to incorporate in my own cardmaking (whenever I can get the time to make cards!) Your Asian card is gorgeous in color and fold - I especially like the Asian characters shown in a column on the right. The elegant heart card is pure vintage elegance without being over-the-top vintage. The elegant portion really makes it gorgeous. The lacing and ribbon on your little girls card is super sweet, and the embossed lace looks amazing on your feminine Valentine - boy have you been busy - they are all so lovely! hugs, de

These are all beautiful. I love the way you used eyelets and cord to make the one card look like a shoe laced up. The vintage feel to this card is amazing. I like the fold on the first card. Maybe I'll remember to try it. Thanks for the inspiration.
