Flowers all Over

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts, our host this week is Mervi who would like to see "Flowers all Over". We have another lovely Chocolate Baroque stamp for our winner, this time the pretty Honeysuckle single limited edition.

Another short post, still rather weak and poorly and only up in short bursts and awaiting test results. But on a positive note, the obligatory COVID test last week came back negative, impressively at 1.06 am just fourteen hours after it was done.

All stamps used are Chocolate Baroque of course, above using Poppy Ledger and Make Your Mark and below using Wish Flower, Just Butterflies, and Make Your Mark agin.

I also have my share from todays mid month post at Penny Black and More challenge which Tracy very kindly did for me and also the set of Notelets I made for Stamping Sensations, thanks for that one to Sally.

Lets play I Spy

My I Spy B's are: Butterfly, Blooms, Blue and Blobs

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts and I am your host this week and my theme is "I spy with my little eye something beginning with B". This weeks winner will receive a Chocolate Baroque Butterfly Tree stamp which is a limited edition run but you can still purchase it in the Essence of Nature set.

A very short post as I've been poorly and in bed all week, but will try and link to the Butterfly Challenge as I made this one for that as well. I've used a lot of stamp sets including Patchwork Butterfly. Just Butterflies, Pretty Poppies and Wild Meadow.

My B's are Butterflies and Black and the purple is so bright I could add Bold maybe?

Spread your Wings

It's the first Sunday of the month so time for our new challenges at Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More challenge. This month our themes 'Make it Colourful' and 'Favourite Stamps'. There are of course prizes to be won at both, however there may be delays with people receiving them due to the ongoing global situation.

I've received my communication that say's I can stop shielding "with care" at the beginning of August, although I am not confident I actually want to go far if at all. Throughout lockdown I've been amazed by the amount of contact from the NHS as a whole, as well as calls from the GP several from endocrinologist, urologist, neurologist.......lots of 'ologist' basically!! In a way I find it a bit invasive yet I guess it shows they are on the ball.......or as one of my son's put it, without clinics and procedures they are looking for something to do.

My SS card at the top uses a new (to me) stamp from this months sponsors Crafty Individuals called 'Fly and be Free' which I stamped onto an Acrylic ink and sencilled background then stamped just the Butterfly twice more and decoupaged. The sentiment is also taken from he same stamp and finally I flicked some white ink randomly.

My Penny Black share uses the beautiful blooms release earlier this year called Petal Poetry, stamped using Distress Markers and spritzed water direct to stamp, then masked the edges of the piece and added some soft inking and finally a sentiment from Blooming Sentiments.

And a quick and simple second Penny Black share using Bejewelled, which I stamped using Distress Markers direct to stamp. The background was created by inking a stencil with Oxides, spritzing with water, wiping the edges to remove the damp and ink so I didn't get a line all round, placed onto card and pressed gently with a piece of kitchen towel. As well as the prizes from Penny Black we also have one from Blade Rubber Stamps.

I do hope you will join us this month and look forward to visiting all your entries.

Chocolate Baroque Summer and new shows

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts, our host this week is Helene whose theme is 'Summertime' and we have a pretty Chocolate Baroque stamp as a prize called Lady in Hat who I think looks very Summery.

Lesley will be sharing a new and very exciting collection of stamps on Hochnda TV on Tuesday 7th July at 10am and 3pm, these are something really different and you won't want to miss out.

have used several Chocolate Baroque stamp sets here including June FairyGlorious Spring and Wisteria Lane onto an inky background of Oxides and alcohol inks which I am finding are rather a fun combination to play with and seems to work best on a smooth finish rather than glossy cardstock. The sentiment is also from the June Fairy set

And carrying on the Chocolate Baroque theme, heres a couple I posted on the CB blog yesterday using the beautiful Katya.................keep your eyes on the samples on Tuesday's shows and you will see she's a lady of many disguises!! I also used Just Butterflies and sentiment from Words of Love .

This one uses elements from the new Timeless set onto an inky background with random stamping using Ephemera 2, Edgy Edges and another sentiment from Words of Inspiration, it's a set I bought many years ago in Glenda days long before I was a DT member with them and still probably my favourite CB sentiment set.

Have a good weekend all and as always many thanks for your kind words and visits.

A Chocolate Baroque Tomte Christmas

Morning Peeps. So today it's my Birthday, another year...............!! Yesterday was hubby's Birthday and I share mine with Grandson Zachary. He's always chosen what we do to celebrate but thankfully he's beyond swimming and footie parties, in fact he's just finishing his first year as a History teacher so it will be a sedate social distancing bbq in the garden...........with a few bubbles, I may even crack open the bottle of Fortnum and Mason Champers I received............after all there's also winning the League to celebrate...........for those who don't know Liverpool have won the Premiership🍸😂

We are enjoying some beautiful Summer weather and I have a Christmas card to share, every year is the same, as soon as it's time to make Christmas cards for TV we have lovely sunshine and heat. It's for this weeks Allsorts challenge, our host is Lynn whose theme is 'So Cute' and our winner will receive a Chocolate Baroque stamp.

So being one of the Chocolate Baroque 'girls' I wanted to used one of their images for my card this week, but as everyone knows I just don't do cute and freak at the very thought. CB's style of stamps doesn't encompass cute really but after a trawl through the Chocolate Baroque cabinet I came across A Tomte Christmas which was released last Christmas and I thought fitted the bill OK.

So simply stamped into a foliage wreath created with CB worker stamps and then coloured in with Distress Markers and some glitter to add to that seasonal feel.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Pets on parade

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts, our host this week is Ellie who would like to see 'Pets' on our creation. My apologies for the lack of visits this week, a bit of an MS flare up going on so time at my desk and computer is a bit of a no go area, yes I have a phone but far too small to contemplate blogging on.

Two card from me this week, the above one using Penny Black stamps, paper pieced and a fairly........for me.......CAS creation.

Another very plain and simple card stamping the Stamp Addicts new Cat image which I stamped in black and left uncoloured apart from the eyes and a sentiment also from Stamp Addicts.

Finally a share from my post over at the Chocolate Baroque blog here.

Thanks for you visits and hope you have a good weekend.

Stay Wild

Good morning Peeps, a quick post with my mid month shares for Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More challenges and also my entry into the current Butterfly Challenge.

For my PB creation I used a page from an charity shop poetry book, dabbed it into some water DI's to age it a bit and then repeat stamped Penny Black Magnolia Rhapsody using Distress Markers direct to stamp and placed into a die cut frame.

The Butterfly challenge had reached the letter Z so there are some unusual colours, Zenchua (light purple), Zinwaldite (flesh tones) Zinc (blush silver), Zebra stripes, Z fold and of course a Butterfly. I used shimmer and matt acrylic paints to create the zebra stripe base pane, smearing dabs of the three colours of paint down the base later using an old credit card, there was a residue of paint sitting on the card so I used that to created a circle effect on the top panel. The Butterfly is Chocolate Baroque stamped twice onto vellum and heat embossed with white EP and the sentiments is also CB.

My Stamping Sensations piece has a spotty stencilled base panel and I stamped a few of the tiny horses from the Visible Image set into the larger circles. The focal circle was created on the Gelli Plate with Oxides and Brushos and the large horse and sentiment are from the same VI set.
