Shaped cards and yet more blossoms

Morning to you all, a new challenge at Allsorts where Christine has selected the theme of shapes cards, so anything but square. The prizes this time round are AALL and Create goodies.

Scheduled as usual as all going to plan we will be in the Cotswolds for the wedding of another Granddaughter, Annabel, she loved the location so entire family heading off miles across the UK!!

I was lucky to get early access to the March A&C release and love the funky fashion icons designed by Soizic, this one Sirens of Spring paired with Drawing in Air. An old triptych die, coloured with Zig pens, the middle panel a really old wood mounted PB stamp How to Fly. This was a card for a crafty friend who had a special Birthday this week. Entering this one as Bright at As you like it and Flowers for Girlz Rebel.

This an older make, crafting remains slow one armed, will update shortly but declined surgery this week (wedding so not an option!). Die base is A&C Heart Marks the Spot, a stencilled background in fresh yellows and the image (which hubby say's is a "very sad" one) is Andy Skinner I'll be your Umbrella, the sentiment comes from the same set. Just us girls would like Stencils and Crafters Cafe no squares.

I'll leave you with a few of this weeks garden photos, first the Cowslips in the far paddock, it's never grazed until they have flowered. They are special to me as I transplanted from one of Dad's fields where I used to pick them as a child, they are slow to establish but spread a bit more each year and now a few patches of them scattered about.

One more as it's 25th of the month which means a new Rudolph Days challenge. It's a very simple one from my files using TH dies and Lisa Horton embossing folder.

Clematis Montana and an early flowering Horse Chestnut, this one close to the Cowslips. Those on the tree I shared last week are a week or so behind this one.

Can you spot the rear end of a Lab above?

Sorry to be repetitive but I do so love Spring.

Utterly lovely triptych card with fabulous images - the Soizic image is gorgeous and I love the flowers and words. 😘
The shape of your second card is wonderful too, but can see why your DH thinks the image is a little sad!
Fab Spring pic’s too. Funnily enough, there were some cowslips for sale outside a local house, so I bought a couple and planted them in my own garden this year! They are lovely!
Enjoy the Cotswolds and the family wedding. xxxx

Your shaped cards are full of energy and movement, and I love how you paired the Sirens of Spring with the triptych design to create such a striking flow across the panels, while the soft Zig coloring keeps everything feeling light and fresh; the heart shaped base on your second card works beautifully with the warm yellow stenciling, and the umbrella image adds a gentle mood that draws me in, and your garden photos are a joy to see with the cowslips, clematis, and horse chestnut all capturing the spirit of early spring along with that little glimpse of the Lab.

Hi, Brenda! Your shaped cards are MAH-VE-LOUS! Gosh, those brilliant colors speak to my soul, as do the images and sentiments. Really beautiful. Cowslips don't grow here, so it is a delight seeing these beauties up close and in their larger setting. Heritage plants from our parents are such gifts. Between last year's drought and this winter's freeze, I lost the last "geranium" that belonged to my mom. It's been in my possession since 1993, so I was sad to see it go, but also happy to have had the privilege of enjoying it these last 33 years. Clematis is another flower that doesn't grow here, and is quite lovely in the habitat you created for it. Your flowering trees are incredible (and even sweeter with the little lab showing his happiness). Thanks for your inspiration, B, both creatively, and in sharing your life. huggers, de

Super cards Brenda, love the triptych with the lovely sentiment in the centre. I hope the wedding went off well, the sun was certainly shining. I love a stroll around your garden. We are devastated that we lost our clematis montana overnight to clematis wilt. It was stunning last year too. xx

You definitely are having spring. What lovely blooms. I think I'd want to be walking outside all day on such a lovely looking day. Those flowers are as lovely as your cards today. The bright purple of the first one really caught my eye. Have a wonderful wedding adventure in the Cotwolds. And a great week ahead too. hugs-Erika

Hope all goes well for the wedding, including the trip to and from! Your first card absolutely has my heart--love it! The Christmas card is gorgeous, but you meant Tim Holtz dies. I know because I have and love them. Pinning your card for inspiration. Thanks for sharing more pictures of your beautiful plants!
