Morning all, thankfully much of this post was scheduled so just added a few more words. We have new challenges starting today at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations where themes are very seasonal, Spring and Inspired by Nature. Prizes on offer are Lavinia stamps, a Gina K gift voucher and A&C stamp set.
Above and below using Lavinia's new Meadowbrook Tales collection which I've been lucky to work with, the bundle sold out very quickly but stamps still available individually. A triptych gatefold card using a 'serving dish template', inky background applied with acetate, my preferred technique, a few older worker stamps to build up the scene and colouring using Zig pens. Adding to the Spring/Easter themes at Fab and Funky and Sweet Stampin' and Crafty Animals.
For this one a Gelli Plate background found ready prepared, Tree stamped into the oval, Lavinia Butterflies (not in the collection), Shrooms and Hares coloured with pencils and grounded with Pastels. Entering at Daisy Chain No DP's theme and Beautiful Butterflies at Lets Create and Craft.
Luckily this for SS was made weeks ago, and details already added to the post. A 3D wildlife scene using a whole host of Lavina stamps, Badger 1 and 2, Woodland Hare, Garden Poppies, Wild Summer Flower, Leaf Spray along with a good number of worker stamps. I took an A4 sheet of Multifarious, scored vertically in two places, cut diagonally about a third of the way down, stamped the animals and shrooms on the smaller piece, cut around the tops and built up the foliage around them. After creating a sky stamped the flowers and grasses and raised the smaller section with foam tape. Adding this one at The Card Concept and Cards 4 Galz Spring Flowers, the Oriental Poppies are budding up so won't be long, White Out at Shopping Our Stash and Tic Tac Toe using Spring, Colouring Technique (direct to stamp) and Fun Fold.
One for the Snippets Playground, dies from Amazon, Lisa Horton quilted EF, Lavinia word stickers and Liquid pearls. Snippets below and very frugally for me, I cut the flowers from the middle of the larger mat before shading the edges with DI's. Alphabet Challenge's theme is Y for Yellow and Crafty Calendar Dies and Punches.
A few more photos of what's springing into life in the gardens.
Spiraea Arguta Bridal Wreath, now quite a substantial shrub.
Clematis armandii.
You have been so kind with your words of support regarding the surgery mentioned in my past last weekend so thought I best give an update. I saw my Neurologist in Cambridge a few days ago and managed to scheduled an appointment with my Pain Consultant on Friday. Once I have the thoughts of them both I will make a final decision on the surgery rather than launching headlong into it later this month as the Orthopaedic consultant would like.

Fabulous Lavinia stamp sets, stunning cards.
You've done some great work with the Lavinia stamps for the stamping themes and it's lovely to see the pictures of some of your colourful garden flowers. Wise decision to gather as much information and input as you can before making a final decision re your possible surgery.

Your cards are mini works of art Brenda. Trully stunning - especially the shaped ones.

What a beautiful display of cards and plants Brenda. I love the gorgeous scenes you have created. Your snippets card is so pretty in the sunny colours. We have a lot of that bush growing around here and it makes such a spectacular display! I hope you enjoy your Easter Sunday.
I just saw those new Lavinia stamps come up at an online shop here and the bear caught my eye. I like how you used him. I really enjoyed your Lavinia pieces. They remind me of walking into your garden. Wow, those blooms are really lovely!!! You have so much spring beauty. Good luck with your other doctor appointments. My husband saw his spine doctor Friday about his back and he was recommended not to thin of surgery at this point. But of course, one cannot compare, and I'm not trying to. Just mentioning, that's all. Have a lovely Easter. hugs-Erika
Gorgeous cards & garden photos, Brenda! Thinking of you & hope you have a Happy Easter!!
Stunning cards using those new and older Lavinia stamps Brenda- I have seen the new collection and am trying to pretend it's not there as I have quite a few I bought before that are still waiting to be shown some ink! Don't know how long I'll be able to resist though, especially when I see creations like yours!
I think you're very wise to seek more opinions and information on that surgery, its such a big decision to make.
Hope you are enjoying the Easter weekend.
xx

Wonderful artwork Brenda, I love them all but particularly the oval gelli plate one, and thanks for sharing the wonderful photos too! xxx (I’m glad you’re getting advice on such a tough decision 🤗) xxx
Such beautiful creations, the tri fold scenes are real art of works. The photos are lovely, such a wonderful time of year with nature all coming to life x
Your scenes are always good but you surpassed yourself with the dimensional Badger scene! Lovely flower pictures too... x
Ah B. Some beautiful creatures and creations with your Lavinia stamps, I'm addicted to them, they stamp sooo beautifully. ❤️❤️
It is curious the black lab on the beach that caught your eye on my Good Friday post is a mystery.
I know dogs on that dog beach, two golden labs but not a black one that I'm aware. Might have been a visitor. Its my favourite walk.
Praying for your op wisdom too. I think consulting and discussing to make up your informed decision is wise.
Prayer hugs 🙏🏻🤗

Beautiful inky work. I didn't know you used acetate to apply your ink! A pretty die cut card and of course wonderful photos from your garden. I've always loved the bridal wreath but haven't had one for many years.
Fabulous cards Brenda, you make the most beautiful scenery cards and your snippet card is stunning. Thanks for the update,.
All beautiful cards and love all the fabulous stamps especially the Hares, good idea getting all the information about the surgery-such a big decision! I love all the garden pics, we used to have a bridal wreath shrub years ago-I saw your snippets pic and thought ooh love the delicate colour of the flowers then realised it was the colour of your glass mat underneath lol.

You've created some fabulous scenes with the Lavinia stamps and the card folds work really well. Gorgeous photos from your garden - another 2/3 days and we should start to see some blossom opening. I think that's a good move to discuss your options with other specialists before you make your decision on surgery. Hope you're having a lovely Easter weekend. Avril xx

Your nature‑inspired scenes are breathtaking, each one layered with atmosphere and movement that pulls the eye deeper into the landscape. The way you combine inky backgrounds, acetate application, and those expressive Lavinia silhouettes creates such cohesion across the different formats, from the triptych gatefold to the dimensional wildlife piece. The Gelli Plate panel with the oval focal point feels especially striking, and the badger scene has incredible depth with the staggered cuts and foliage building. The snippets card is a lovely contrast with its soft colors and clever die‑cutting, and the garden photos echo the artwork perfectly, showing the same sense of renewal and gentle detail.
Sorry for reaxting so late'it was busy with Eastern and the days after...
Love the ptcs and the flower card, but the Lavinia cards are favorite again... The ones with the new stamps look super! (Good idea with the hanging flowers/little branches on the new tree!; think I will try that one myself) A bit sad here that the shop I get my Lavinia stamps from is closed for a few weeks because of their vacation so I have to wait until later this week before my order will be sent; I would love to have a play with them) But the one with the badgers looks super too!
Hope you got the final idea of what you want to do with the surgery. Hugs, Gerrina
Wonderful bunch of cards!
