Good morning everyone, this week at Allsorts Donna has selected the theme of 'Create your own background' and as always theres the A/G option. Our prizes are a set of background stamps from AALL and Create.
I have used a Visible Image stamp called Calm over Chaos which I stamped with Clair black and then used two different stencils and Clair inks to create the background. The words come from the same stamp set as does the Cherry Blossom across the top. Time Out asks for favourite techniques, mine has always been stamping and with my own background along with inspirational quotes, finally another for the Stencil Challenge.
This was my first make using Mutifarious card. I was happy to have the opportunity to try it out and have to say I'm pretty impressed, it's 350gsm and seems to take everything you throw at it without any warp. And the very best part for me as I usually cut all my own stamping pieces from A3 or A4 cardstock, is it comes in a variety of ready cut sizes in packs of 20.
And an ATC using A&C Ephemera Floral Confetti and Enchanting Larking rub on's over an inked offcut.
Am making a last minute dash to Rudolph Days challenge. A floral wreath onto a Gelli Plate background using the Spin tool, several Lavinia Mini stamps, Holly, Clair inks and a Penny Black sentiment. In a tidy up after Christmas I found a box under a spare bed ....sure I'm not alone in spreading craft all over the house! I'm pretty sure the contents are pre-Covid when I used to run regular classes and among other things it contained several dozen sheets of one sided pearlescent card. It's not something I use these days so used the white side to made a whole pile of backgrounds, this being one of those. It's a (tentative) circle for Fab n Funky, plus Jingle Bells have an inspirational photo, mine came from the Christmas Tree colours and branches and also linking to C.R.A.F.T Christmas

A lovely selection of assorted backgrounds all used to good effect.
WOW - LOVE that calm and peaceful first card of the post!
Your pretty floral ATC is gorgeous, as is the festive make for Rudolph Day. Bonus find of stash under your bed! xxx
Such a serene and beautifully balanced collection of makes. The Calm over Chaos panel is especially striking with the layered stenciling adding so much depth behind the silhouette. The cherry blossom detail softens everything in the loveliest way. Your ATC has wonderful movement and texture, and the Rudolph Days wreath looks radiant on that Gelli Plate background. What a great rediscovery under the bed, and you put that pearlescent stash to excellent use.
Your serenity card gives such a peaceful vibe, fabulous layout and stencilling, beautiful ATC and Rudolph's day cards too
These are beautiful pieces Brenda. I especially love the first one. I've looked at that stamp set before and maybe I do need (?) it. Ha ha. It makes a really gorgeous card front. Have a super weekend.
Super festive wreath, thanks for joining Rudolph Days challenge GDT
Beautiful cards and floral ATC, love the wreath but my favourite is the first one-really beautiful.

I'm going with the flow here Brenda, all of your creations are beautiful but the first one is so serene and peaceful I couldn't take my eyes of it. The soft colours and beautiful stamps all work so well together, it makes me think of a book jacket- one that I would want to pick up and read to discover the story that inspired the artist.
Fabulous vibrant ATC and of course your stamped wreath is gorgeous as your Lavinia designs always are, thanks for sharing it at Fab'n' Funky.
xx
Great collection of cards with your beautiful backgrounds Brenda. The first one is stunning, and it is calming, your floral card is stunning with the vivid colors and lovely background, and your Christmas card is also gorgeous on the background.
Such beautiful work, as always, Brenda! I love the wreath, of course, but the first card is maybe my favorite today.
Great post!
Everything is lovely!
Such beautiful cards here Brenda, all gorgeous and impossible to choose a favorite. I can imagine the spin tool is so helpful in making those wreath. I tried a wreath card recently but it's not easy to make a perfect wreath without a tool, sadly I never did manage to finish that card due to the trouble I had with lining everything up.
I've been wondering what stamp set you used for your serenity card, it really is so beautiful and calming. Your ATC is so bright and colourful and packs a punch despite it's size. A beautiful wreath which really glows against the pretty background inking.
