Gift Exchange and The Blood Moon

Morning all, time for our new challenges at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations. At WLS our theme is 'Make it Cute as chosen by Mervi and we have some House Mouse stamps from Oakwood to be won, at SS Helen has selected CAS as our theme where prizes come from Grafton Crafts.

Above I've used Colorado Crafts Gift Exchange, first time with their stamps, bought this and another set, I thought they would appeal to Margo as she loves anything with animals. The tree is Lavinia as are the flowers to build up the scene for the focal pair of cuties.

The focal flower is from Visible Image plus a little extra stamping using worker stamps, the flower stamped, coloured and die cut with a section of the flower outside the panel. A Birthday sentiment from a set sourced at Amazon and matching envie. The Alphabet challenge has the them of CAS so would like to enter there.

It's funny how some things go full circle, back in 2009 a lady who used to travel miles to come to my classes called Laurie (aka Designer Diva) was one of the DT's at Moving Along with the Times challenge and through her I was invited to join the team. However Allsorts had started just a couple of month earlier, craft challenges were a whole new ball game back then so I decline at the prospect of creating for two......how things change!

Here we are sixteen years later (and much older in the tooth), Helen has taken over from Wendy to run the challenge and invited me to join. This time I said yes and above is my share for the current challenge of Butterflies and/or Dragonflies which started a few days ago. I was late to the party, but work will be posted on 1st of the month in future. Colour Dare challenge has a colour duo which this seems to fit perfectly and Ellie's I Spy is Sunny Colours this time, looks sunny'ish to me.

The Butterfly is Visible Image, repeat stamped with three colours of Element inks, the sentiment from same set as above and a splattering of gold Frantage which had a long overdue outing.

Couldn't resist a photo of last night's Blood Moon, it was a lovely clear evening at dusk as it rose over the top paddock.

Three lovely cards for the challenges, The combination of Lavinia stamps with the cute animals is such fun and the more CAS style of the other two is very pleasing. Great pic of the moon

Amazing cards Brenda - Love the floral on in particular, and the butterfly in the vibrant colours is stunnning!
We can see the 'blood moon' between 5 and 6 tomorrow morning - trouble is a) it's going to be frosty, and b) you need a clear view to the west, which I don't have here... never mind, I did see one a year or so back, and it was amazing
Blessings

The idea of cat and dog exchanging gift is very cute! Your VI Butterfly has blown me away...the colours are beautiful and the addition of the Frantage extends and enhance the design of the butterfly , spectacular! x

Three beautiful cards Brenda, love the cute scene, and beautiful butterfly but the beautiful CAS card with the focal flower is my favourite. Brilliant moon pic I get great clear views out of my bedroom window but cannot take a decent photo!!! Welcome to the MAWTT DT team from another newbie.

And you wonder how I get so much done lol. You have been super creative here. Love the cute card, like a little storybook opening. Your CAS card is so elegant and pretty! Crikey when you say 2009 that is a long time ago but like you, I have loved the challenges and loved being on DTs so no better lady to now join Moving Along with the Times. Love the card you made for them. Wow that is a great photo you captured Brenda. We have nothing but heavy grey skies here at the minute so probably won't get a glimpse unfortunately.

Lovely cards Brenda. That first one made me smile with the special gifts the cat and dog will be exchanging. And I noticed all the punched out holes around the butterfly. Wow, not only does the butterfly catch your eye but the dots give it such depth. Wow, what a moon too. Between clouds and a late rising moon I haven't been able to see more than a beam of bright light from in between branches. What a capture you managed to get. Have a super end of your weekend and start to the new week. hugs-Erika

Three equally gorgeous cards in different ways. The butterfly card is a fabulous and vibrant colour palette for this month’s “I Spy” theme of “Warm and Sunny Colours” - thanks so much for joining us.
