Morning one and all, a new Allsorts challenge where Ellie would like to see 'Lots of White'. Prize come from AALL and Create.
I alluded to poorly doggies a couple of weeks ago, this week's been traumatic. Daisy eldest Lab fourteen and a half collapsed the other day, has rallied, eating and wagging her tail but very frail. Poppy, Parsons JR, twelve and a half, went into DWR specialist Vets beginning of week to have second surgery for Laryngeal Collapse, before they got that far CT scans showed a large mass on her liver.
Then they discovered a blood clot preventing any surgery and suggesting the unthinkable. So we visited her Thursday, she seemed her usual self, they say she's not in pain and managing the laryngeal breathing problem with light sedation. So after a couple of conversations with Marcello our regular Vet, we brought her home and he is supporting us in palliative care so she can spend her last days/weeks in her own surroundings. It's heartbreaking, but she's mooching in the gardens as always, eating well and one would never realise what's really going on.
Back to craft, white space is something I find scary on cards, so this was a challenge restraining myself adding more colour. Above, a Sweet Dixie die, Tattered Lace EF, Organza bow and TRR white Christmas Roses. There's a very odd blue border around the card, it's not there irl so must be something to do with taking the photo in rotten light and not had time to do a re-take.
This one is a Sweet Poppy stencil, the image coloured with distress inks, left to dry then the stencil placed back over the image and translucent paste applied. The sentiments are AALL and Create.
The current challenge is in full swing over at the Playground, here's my entry using snippets for the circles, words and focal flower which is a firm favourite of many of us, Textured Florals (531) from AALL and Create, although not available from them several companies still have stock and base is a Gelli Plate mop up. So sorry Misses Di and Sarn but I don't have a snippet photo. Also popping to the Path of Positivity with this one.
Today I must finish sending Christmas cards, I am so behind, did one batch and the other sitting waiting to be done.

Loving your 'nearly' white on white cards knowing that you aren't too comfortable with that style. The coneflower card is just right for the Snippets challenge - love that stamp.
So very sorry to hear the sad news about your poorly doggies but it sounds as if they are receiving the very best care and love from you.
wow gorgeous cards you have made Brenda and the first one is also elegant...............gr karin
Brenda, your cards are absolutely stunning! The white-on-white design is so elegant and sophisticated. I can only imagine how challenging it must have been to restrain from adding more color, but the results are breathtaking. I'm so sorry to hear about your doggies. It's clear they are receiving the best care and love from you. Sending you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
You cards are all so pretty and I love the flowers you framed in the first card. Love those delicate birds in #2 with the slimline design and of course the flower looks so pretty within those white circles on #3. I'm so sorry your dogs are doing so poorly. It's difficult enough when one falls ill but both at the same time has to be shattering. My heart breaks for you because I remember how I felt when we lost all 3 of our dogs in a short period of time. Just love them while they're here and as I heard recently - know that you don't get to spend your whole life with them, but know they got to spend their whole lives with you! Heartfelt hugs for good times spent with them in the coming days.
So sorry to read about your poorly dogs,so heart breaking when they are so unwell, hope you enjoy your time with them.Three absolutely stunning cards xx
Sorry to hear about your dogs doing poorly.
Beautiful cards!
Wonderful white creations Brenda and I am so glad I'm not alone in my fear!! So very sorry to hear about poor Daisy and Poppy, it's the hardest part of being the parents of furry kids. Love to all xx
So sad for you and the poorly dogs Brenda, it's so awful watching, worrying and waiting. I know you'll always do your best for them, just enjoy them while you can.
Beautiful cards, great job with the 'white' ones, especially the one with the stencilled birds. xx
Oh Brenda, I'm so sorry your dogs are so poorly. Our furry friends know when we are looking after them.
Your cards are as gorgeous as ever, love the almost white one. The embossed background looks great behind the pretty florals

Beautiful trio of cards Brenda, all so very different.
Sorry to hear about your poorly dogs. I’m sure they are getting plenty of TLC at home with you.

Such beautiful cards Brenda, loving each one but think my favorite is the one using the Sweet Poppy stencil with that gorgeous green.
I'm so sorry your doggies are not doing well, I am sure you are giving them the best care possible.
Sending hugs,
xEllie
So sorry to hear about both your dogs but at least they are with their family and being cared for. Love the beautiful cards, stamps and die cut frame on the first, think the blue border could be just a shadow.

Gorgeous cards, Brenda! so sorry to hear about the dogs, I hope they are as comfortable as they can be.
Three beautiful cards here Brenda. The first two are a triumph for the current "lots of white" theme at Allsorts. The third snippets card is so pretty - and you know I love that focal flower!
Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you up in the treehouse shortly. Sounds like you need a stiff drink or two - I have mulled wine on the go. Sorry to hear about your beloved pets going through tough times. xxx
Wow you have been busy making more beautiful cards. Our dull weather has definitely made photography difficult. I’ve still got neighbours cards to make, but at least I can hand deliver those. I’m so sorry to hear about your poorly dogs. Thinking of you xxx
Such a worrying time Brenda so pleased you brought her home and your cards are as always the most stunning cards truly so beautiful x
Beautiful, elegant white card with a gorgeous bow Brenda, also two other fabulous cards. So sorry to read about your poorly doggies, so sad and so worrying for you.
Pat xx
Oh no, poor doggies but I know they are in the best hands and I am sure much happier to be near you all at this time than stuck in the vets. Will be thinking about you Brenda.
I know what you mean about white space, hard to not fill it up lol but you did an amazing job. It is so beautiful. Your poppy card is super gorgeous. I love the blue and yellow together.
Gorgeous card and like the bonus ones you added. So sorry about your sweet dog.
I do love your mostly white cards. I think they both work brilliantly. Love your clever use of those circle dies on your third card too. So sorry to hear about your dogs health troubles. It is so sad when a treasured pet is lost. I hope Poppy has a peaceful end xx
Oh I am so sorry to hear the sad news. No matter how long they live, it's never long enough. I'm glad they're home with family. You do make such beautiful cards, Brenda. I'm really drawn to the 2nd one!
2 gorgeous cards. The hardest part about having the love of pets is this part, its always heartbreaking seeing them go downhill. Good Poppy can be at home in the place she feels safe and loved. Sending you all massive hugs Emma x
Beautiful work as always B! And cone flowers are always the way to win over Sarn and myself. Loving your, almost, white on white card too. So sorry to hear about the pooches, especially little Poppy. Sending special hugs.
Di xx
