Butterflies at Allsorts

Morning everyone, we are back to our normal weekly challenges Allsorts and this time round Dena is hosting with the theme of Butterflies.

Above an A5 size canvas, it was pre-primed but I gave it another coat of Gesso before decorating with part of a floral napkin which I cut out and fixed centrally then added some stencil work. I stamped a sentiment from my Moments stamp set available at Create and Craft here or Stamp Addicts here.

I also made a tag, a base layer of Distress sprays, sun rays stencilled with texture paste, a bit of background stamping and the Butterfly which is AALL and Create but at the time of writing this post the name of the set evades me as I look to have returned it to the wrong carrier sheet! The word Peace stamped, plus words from A&C washi tape and a pen nib for the thorax.

Happy weekend all and as always my appreciation for your visits and words of encouragement.

That canvas is gorgeous Brenda! How the napkin flowers melt with the stencilled background.. and the colours you chose... perfection! The tag is no less beautiful. x

Wow, that canvas is incredible. I love the colors and imagery on the napkin.

Two superb projects featuring beautiful butterflies, no one would guess that the flowers on the canvas started life as a napkin, it blends seamlessly into the stencilled background. The butterfly on the tag is stunning and I love the use of the pen nib. xx

Great use of the napkin on your canvas as Chris says it blends so well. a pretty tag with the pen nib. I have one waiting to be used also!

The canvas is so detailed and pretty with the blooms and butterflies, but that tag is off the charts gorgeous! I just LOVE how you put that together. Nice work on both and have a happy weekend!

Two wonderful creations Brenda, fabulous work with the napkin. I've tried the napkin technique but wasn't all that happy with the outcome so haven't shared any napkin makes yet. Will definitely continue trying though!!
The tag is so wonderful too, really loving that bold magenta color!
