Bright Dawn

Morning everyone, a new Allsorts challenge where Dena's them is Birthdays. Prizes this month come from SizzixAALL and CreateAldridge CraftsLavinia and Ruth Hamilton Design.

Eye's rubbish still, so little blog activity as what I write's not always as intended! Now have a build up of fluid in one eye requiring laser treatment in a couple of weeks when Optic Neuritis and 15 day unremitting migraine settle.

Above hubby's Birthday card (he doesn't visit here), stencilled sunray, Cockerel full of himself like our Freddie (now Fox'd as he chose not to return to the hen house and slept in a tree once too often!!). Stamps from AALL and Create's Bright Dawn and Flowers She Wrote.

This one is way outside my comfort zone but loved the artwork from Highlight Crafts and wanted to create something with it.

Finally as I've done a lots more garden sitting a few more photos....

Self set Oriental Poppies in the bonfire heap
My favourite garden view on a sunny day from the top paddock

Ciao Brenda!

Both cards are just fabulous Brenda, I especially love the first one, Eddy is so lucky to receive that stunning card!!
A real fun Alice in Wonderland scene too! Would have been perfect for my daughter when their dance studio performed Alice in Wonderland a few years ago, it was such a fun ballet to watch and this card showcases many of the characters. So fun!

Both cards are fabulous, Brenda. Love the sunny chicken card and matching envelope. The whimsical Alice in Wonderland is fun as well. Beautiful photos of your area of the world!

I am so sorry to here you are still struggling with eye problems. I do hope they settle down soon and that migraine clears up. Looks like you have been enjoying our sitting in the garden. Somebody's been keeping the grass nicely cut. Shame about your cockerel, that's what comes of being stubborn. I am sure your hubby will love his card. The cockerel fits perfectly with that lovely sunshine. Bit hot here today, but I am loving the sunshine xx

I love your cockerel card. Beautiful work. Such a shame your beautiful bird is no longer! Your second card is a wonderful creation, love the 3D of the Rabbit and the mushrooms, great shape too. It certainly doesn't look outside your comfort zone. I'm sorry to hear your eyes continue to give you problems Brenda, so frustrating and painful for you. Here's hoping the laser works, although it doesn't sound a good experience. I LOVE your garden piccies, those poppies are gorgeous.

A brilliant card for your husband with that proud rooster strutting his stuff in the early morning sunshine, love how you've personalised it too. The Aice card is lovely too- sometimes it's good to create something that's a little out of our comfort zone - this one turned out beautiful.
So sorry your eye problems are still unresolved, take care and rest them as much as you can.

I'm sorry to hear about Freddie's demise. Sometimes they just don't "get" that we are trying to protect them. Then again, I wonder how many times other individuals (known to me, and unknown to me) have tried to do the same for me, and I rebelled! LOL I can hear your rooster's crowing, greeting the morning and letting us know the sun is greeting each one of us! Beautiful card! Your White Rabbit's scene is fantastic! Your poppies look amazing! They don't grow here, so I'm grateful to appreciate yours! What lovely lawns you have! our front pasture was just bush-hogged (mowed). Jack took a few days to finish it, as the temps were quite high - mid 90s (35C) with high humidity. Your lovely blue, cloudless skies are dreamy! Sweet puppy at the end! Thanks for sharing your beautiful life with us. Brenda, I hope your laser eye treatment is entirely successful! Have your eyes been experiencing unremitting migraines? Or has it been your dear brain? I am so sad to hear of the hardships you face. But I have to thank you for inspiring me. HOPEFULLY tomorrow will be my last procedure for the year (8 since December 2022). Keeping fingers crossed that by the end of summer some of the cardio issues will have resolved. This is pretty long - save it for when you can read, knowing my heart is with you!
love,
de
