A bunch of Roses and even more Poppies

Morning everyone, this week at Allsorts Lynn would love to see Bunches of Flowers with the alternative of an A/G option. Prizes from SizzixAALL and CreateAldridge CraftsLavinia and Ruth Hamilton Design.

Still working with one semi functioning eye, but hopefully all will be sorted with Tuesday's procedure. Above A&C In the Bucket, simply stamped and coloured and some stencilling in the background along with a sentiment from my Believe stamp set available from Create and Craft here or Stamp Addicts.

Roses and Iris's, both Flowers of the Month along with the Vase from Highlight Crafts, from memory January and March. The June one just released is the most beautiful Christmas Rose which is part of A Christmas Bouquet, but as always all dies are available individually if you want to choose. I cut the vase twice and welded together with hinges made from offcuts so it stands up as a vase.

Poppies continue to give a fabulous display in the garden this year, I adore the self set's growing alongside the Keksi (name in the Fens for Cow Parsley) as they compliment each other so well, these are growing on a bank and some almost five feet tall...

Happy weekend all.

Hamish the yellow Lab

Morning Peeps, I'm never sure how I prepare the mid months posts for We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations and so often forgot my own post. But I did have a post part prepared for the the Snippets Playground so to limit screen time combining the two.

I've not been able to join in for a few weeks because of these pesky eye issues, hopefully what will be the final treatment next week on 27th - my Birthday of all days but at my age it's just another day and sooooo want to get back to normal crafting. I would also like to enter this one into the current Path of Positivity "Inspired by a Pattern" so hope the aperture panel and envie fits the brief as it's created with what is probably my favourite and most used stencil.

It's almost the end of term at the Playground so need to show my face especially as sports day must be immanent. It's a card I made for our youngest boys Birthday last month, his one year old yellow Lab Hamish is huge and a gorgeous boy re-homed last Summer. So I knew I wanted to use this image from AALL and Creates Man's Best Friend

But didn't anticipate it would be so hard to re-create the colour of a yellow lab, this was my fourth attempt, non of the numerous ink pads I have were right so in the end a mixture of copper, gold and yellow EP's. Hamish and the words were offcuts as is the background which is a small leftover of a Gelli Plate vellum print just big enough to full the aperture.

My rather hastily added shares for our theme options of CAS and Around the World. Above using AALL and Create Little Wren stamped very simply onto a scored base, a little colouring and some flicks of ink. It's only an A6 stamp but very useful for masculine cards in particular.

I made this ages ago and never blogged and can't can't find the stamp anymore, I did have a bit of a clear out when my craft room was reorganised so it may well have been moved on via the charity shop. I've a feeling it was a Little Clair stamp and by the look of it heat embossed with some background stencilling. I do know the sentiment is Penny Black as it's from a set which also has safari animals.

Have a good Sunday all, we're promised thunder storms and an 80% chance of rain so finger crossed we actually get it as we need it, the Hay's all in and a reasonable haul, but the arable crops need it.

Blooms, Bees and Butterflies

Morning Peeps, Saturday and a new challenge at Allsorts where Ellie is looking for Blooms/Bees/Butterflies. Our prizes come from SizzixAALL and CreateAldridge CraftsLavinia and Ruth Hamilton Design.

Above rather pink using ALL and Create WildflowerSplodges, Power of the Word and Miniatures.

This one used Ruth Hamilton Design Sunflowers coloured and cut out and added to a die cute frame.

Happy weekend all, I hope to be back to normality, crafting and 'proper' blogging very soon, meantime I continue virtually one eyed a bit like a pirate but without the eyepatch!

Bright Dawn

Morning everyone, a new Allsorts challenge where Dena's them is Birthdays. Prizes this month come from SizzixAALL and CreateAldridge CraftsLavinia and Ruth Hamilton Design.

Eye's rubbish still, so little blog activity as what I write's not always as intended! Now have a build up of fluid in one eye requiring laser treatment in a couple of weeks when Optic Neuritis and 15 day unremitting migraine settle.

Above hubby's Birthday card (he doesn't visit here), stencilled sunray, Cockerel full of himself like our Freddie (now Fox'd as he chose not to return to the hen house and slept in a tree once too often!!). Stamps from AALL and Create's Bright Dawn and Flowers She Wrote.

This one is way outside my comfort zone but loved the artwork from Highlight Crafts and wanted to create something with it.

Finally as I've done a lots more garden sitting a few more photos....

The Grand Tour

Fortunately this post was planned well ahead of the eye issues so leaving as is as it has all details.

Our June challenges at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations this month have themes are Anything Stamped as per usual along with options of Around the World and CAS. Prizes are a A4 Rare Earth stamp set and Tonic die at SS and from Oakwood an essentials bundle of their craft tools plus a House Mouse stamp.

My SS share above sees my elegant Penny Black lady following her ancestors and doing The Grand Tour and of course in true tradition making Italy the focus of her trip. Her starting place is London with a journey on the Orient Express to Venice where she is spending several days to take in the unique atmosphere with several espressos sitting in St Marco, followed by an onward journey to the Eternal City of Rome. I fantasise but we've done those Cities so many times (only once on the OE mind you) and never tire of it. All stamps are Penny Black and just a little colouring to draw the eye to the various landmarks.

My WLS share uses one of the hearts from AALL and Create Forget Me Not stamped onto a simple inked background with some of the same Wilted Violet added to the flower. All three images are silhouettes so lend themselves well to CAS designs, but can always be jazzed up for something more elaborate.

Look forward to seeing all you entries this month.

Pretty in Pink

Morning everyone, this week at Allsorts Sarah is challenging us to use dies on our creations, for those of you who really don't have any then there's always the A/G option. June prizes come from SizzixAALL and CreateAldridge CraftsLavinia and Ruth Hamilton Design.

Eye progressing, but screen time still limited so grateful for the better weather (some days) to sit in the garden where I took a few photos making this post a tad picture heavy.

Both my DT shares feature dies from Highlight TRR using some older releases, above a wreath shape created with three circle die cuts placed onto an embossed base panel and the Poppies and Wheat arranged around it plus a couple of Squirrels. Below a simple design, die cut flowers again, layering dies to build up the design and a die cut sentiment and envie to match.

Dies play a huge part in our crafting so I hope you will share some of yours with us this week.

As promised photos starting with our brilliant display of Digitalis,

Spot the distant onlookers
And the tiniest baby bunny making it's way in the big wide World
Those Labs get everywhere
