Morning all, this weeks Allsorts challenge is hosted by Lynn and her chosen theme is 'Anything Goes with the option of create your own background'. Lots of prizes on offer which you can see on the challenge blog from Oakwood, AALL and Create, Stamp Addicts, Ruth Hamilton Design, Aldridge Crafts.
As I'm still under the weather I'm so grateful I work ahead as both my shares today were prepared before I went into hospital and in the intervening three weeks I've made the grand total of one card (see below). There's been limited blog activity so if I've not got to you apols, I'll be there shortly, c'est la vie
This theme is perfect for me as I invariable create my own backgrounds with inks, paints and stencils, I do buy DP's but only to look at because they are pretty - what a lame excuse for spending money! The Fox above from In the Wild is a set I return to time and again since starting with AALL and Create stamps, it's an A4 set and also has a lovely bunny (which I used last week here) plus other useful images. A stencilled background, some stamping using A&C Patches, the word Summer from Seasons and the word Fox made up from Grunge Alphabet.
Above a tag which was one of my samples using new releases from Oakwood Mechanical Garden collection recently showcased on Create and Craft, the collection includes stencils and stamps. An MDF tag, acrylic paints and crackle glaze and the Butterflies stamped onto both card and vellum, cut out and added along with the Ideology elements for their thorax's which I painted with with gesso.
Now a card for the current Butterfly Challenge, something I've not entered for ages, but I was keen to try out the hidden panel option, this is that one and only card and I'll confess pretty simple as all the die cuts were already prepared and cut out.
It also works as a DT make for Highlight Crafts using TRR Butterflies and Flowers onto an A5 card base with the hidden panels. My take on the colours may be a tad tenuous as the flower colours are as printed on the Reflections, but I added ink to the pale coloured Butterflies to try and bring in the colours of Havoc (dark red) Heather, Highland (soft mint) and Hawkes Blue (soft blue)
Happy weekend one and all.

That is one super cute fox. I love the bright happy pink on that card.
I love, love, love that tag and the super gorgeous butterflies. The arrows on them are brilliant and very unexpected.
The gorgeous die cuts on the hidden panel card are so perfect.
I pray you get to feeling better soon. Take care of yourself.
Your comment about DP made me laugh... so many of us are hoarding the pretty papers! Beautiful cards as always, that hidden panel card looks fantastic and I am so tempted by these TRR sets.
Concentrate on getting better, your heath comes first Brenda, nobody will mind an absence of visits. x

Your backgrounds are always incredibly artsy and interesting, B, and it's a pleasure seeing you mingle techniques and products so successfully. I continue sending healthy vibes your way. I have a new procedure being done next week, and hoping for the best. Thank you for the personal inspiration as well as your artistic inspiration, my friend!
hugs,
de
Beautiful creations Brenda, loving each one! Your inky/stenciled/stamped backgrounds are alway stunning! Still haven't gotten any crackle paint/glaze, no idea why because I wanted to try that for ages!! Think I'll have a look at amazon now and put in my shopping cart!
Sorry to hear you're still not fully recovered! Hope you do feel better very soon!
A lovely selection of cards Brenda- love that bespectacled fox- you always create the most beautiful backgrounds so this is a perfect challenge theme for you!
Sorry you're still not feeling too good, I hope you soon feel better.
xx
Fabulous cards all of them.
Going slow here too, hope we'll be better soon.
Nearly all snow is gone after warm and sunny fortnight and some spring flowers
are peaking;-))m
Sorry you are still feeling a bit poorly Brenda, I hope you feel better soon.
I love all three cards, they are wonderfully designed and coloured, just as well I don't have to choose a favourite, I don't think I could.
Take care, Kate x
A beautiful and varied selection of cards. I used to buy (and use) lots of DP's but I think it's more creative to use the many mediums at our disposal to come up with more interesting and unique backgrounds.
Another lovely set of cards Brenda, with gorgeous backgrounds, a funky fox, vibrant butterflies and very pretty florals. Sorry you are still under the weather and hope you’ll be feeling better soon xx
So sorry your are still not up to much, it must be frustrating. Love your cards though. The vibrant pink of the first one, the gorgeous purple on the tag and the hidden panel on the third. Always such excellent inspiration. Hope this weeks proves to be a better one for you. At least the weather is cheering up a bit xx
Love the bright pink on the first card Brenda but everyone is gorgeous too. Beautiful sunny day here, even managed to sit in the garden this afternoon, sheltered from the breeze it was quite warm.

Wonderful cards, very vibrant pink and purple and love the quad fold one, xx
Hoping you're "getting there", and recovery is at least in site? I love all your work and these cards and tag, are so beautiful, I love the fox, what a great image, especially with the bright pink. It has such lovely details, love the bird on the sentiment. The tag is beautiful, love the shading and I would think the wording is just right for you. The fold card is stunning, I love the embossing and gorgeous flowers with the red card surrounding them. Stunning work Brenda.

Glorious cards Brenda. I am particularly taken by that glorious spectacle wearing fox! Hope you continue to improve xx
Hope you are continuing to improve. I know how frustrating it is to have all the gear and no mojo or even strength.
