Perfect Pastels

Morning Peeps, Saturday so a new challenge at Allsorts where I am your host with the theme of 'A/G with the option of Perfect Pastels', it's a subtle take on Spring without being too obvious! Prizes this month come from OakwoodHighlight CraftsAALL and Create and Craft Stash.

It's also mid month time at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations where our themes of Anything stamped have the options of Spring is in the Air and Wings and Tails, lovely prizes as always so do pop over to the challenge blogs to check them out.

Above my first Allsorts share, the Daffodil from AALL and Creates Elegant Spring Florals A4 stamp set. A frame created by masking the edges to apply the ink and stencilling. Stamped the focal image, coloured and the bloom stamped a second time and decoupaged. The Word Spring from Seasons, the two little Hares from Miniatures and a ripped piece of Washi Tape to ground the Daffodils.

Those little Hares make a second appearance, this time along with the new releases which did eventually arrive....fourteen days late. I have used Flower Journey and Elemental Notes stamped onto a background created with a 6x4 piece of acetate inked and spritzed, but instead of dabbing onto the card in the usual way, I laid the whole piece onto the card and left a few minutes to allow the wet inks to seep into the card, quite like the random finish. A couple of words from Power of the Word, numbers from Grunge Alphabet and the word Spring form the set listed above.

I'm well behind on samples with these new stamps due to a combination of Evri losing them  for a fortnight and crafty time a bit restricted of late. I'm going into hospital again this coming week so been on a few NHS jollies in preparation, MRI, bloods, health review and so forth ahead of a further spine procedure, this time the upper spine/cervical area. I don't plan being out of action too long but you never can tell, so if I'm slow visiting you'll know why!!

Now my mid month shares, above a simple card using Penny Black Tulip 4384K and 51-200 coordinating die, the stamp inked in my usual way with Distress Markers and spritzed with water before stamping, some inky splatters and simply framed with a mixture of dies.

Finally, a part wreath with a Mouse ....my SS tail.....using AALL and Create Fallen Leaves and Cute Mouse, various colours of Versafine Clair, some stencilling and washi tape.

Abbracci!

I love the bright yellows on the first two cards. There is just something really cheery about them.

The tulips on the 3rd card are amazing. My favorite colors and I love the CAS feel to the card too.

Super adorable wreath mouse too.

Beautiful spring cards Brenda, love the grungy vibe on the first 2 with the fabulous A&C stamps and the background inking. My absolute favourite is the Penny Black tulips … PB brushstroke stamps give such fabulous watercolour effects and the colours on this one really pop. Your final mouse is very cute and pretty too. Hope your hospital procedure is successful, and you make a quick recovery and are not out of action for too long

Hope all goes well for you next week Brenda, a hospital stay and procedure is never much fun but hopefully the results will be well worth it!
Beautiful selection of cards today, the spring themed ones with the lovely bright yellow lift the spirits as spring flowers do. The purple tulips are stunning, and the little mouse is so cute nestling in that pretty wreath.

Such beautiful creations here Brenda. Always love seeing those little hares make an appearance on your cards!
Bold and beautiful PB tulips too. I need to see how to make my Distress Markers work again, some are completely dried up. It's a bit of a struggle to use the ink pads. Adorable little mouse inside the wreath too!
Hoping the procedure goes quickly for you and wishing you a speedy recovery!

Gorgeous spring cards! Nothing like cheery yellows and daffs to say Spring. That spritzed background is marvelous - love the craggy edges here and there.
