Circle of Life

Good morning Peeps, it's the 18th of the month so that means it's mid way inspiration time at We Love Stamping and Stamping Sensations challenges where are themes are 'Anything Stamped' as usual with the option to add 'Wings' at the first or 'A die' ay the second. And for the winners fabulous crafty goodies in for form of an A4 AALL and Create stamp set courtesy of Stampers Grove and a £25 craft bundle from Oakwood Archer.

My card at the top combines stamped from several AALL and Create sets, the beauty of this brand, particularly those designed by Tracy Evans is that they are all designed to work together and can be built up into larger pieces. The key to it all is carrying the colours and here I have stuck with just two Derwent Inktense pencils, orange and green alongside the black stamping.

Another with Wings, this time in for form of Fairies from Fairy Hugs and the Fairy Couple are from the new release showcases on The Craft Store last week.

For this one which was a recent samples for The Craft Store TV uses Oakwood Daisies and Critters stamp set and coordinating dies, an Oxide background using acetate to add the ink to the base piece, a trellis frame using a really old Penny Black die and the Butterflies cut from card inked with the same colour Oxides. The words are also Oakwood.

If you have not already joining in this month I hope you will find time to share a creation with us, the challenges run until Wednesday 2nd February and with those prizes, every reason to do so.

SOO much wonderful creativity going on with these 3 cards Brenda. Love each one for different reasons.

Definitely going to have a go at adding ink to backgrounds via acetate. Sounds fun!

PS just in case you were wondering why I've not played along with any of your challenges this month, I'm not updating my blog at the moment. Not sure whether it will be temporary or permanent, but I'm still sharing my work on Instagram.

A lovely variety of cards here Brenda, each beautifully designed and stamped, I love the way you combine the AALL and create stamps and thanks for the tip about carrying the colours throughout. The fairy card is sweet and magical, the fresh bright colours on the third look beautiful with the white die cut.

Three different but all beautiful cards! Love the fairies and the butterflies, but that first one just 'speaks' to me with the beautiful contrast in colours! Something to try again; green and orange...not a combination I would use often... so you inspired me again! Hugs, Gerrina

These are all so beautiful, Brenda. My favorite being the first one with the Aall and Create stamps, but your fairy scene is so pretty too and love the inky-ness on your last card with the die cut layered over and all those butterflies!

You have reminded me that I have a few inktense watercolour pencils and really ought to use them more often as the colour is really vibrant. Love how you have used them on your first card. I think that one is my favourite amongst the 3, but of course it goes without saying that they are all very good xx

A great combo of stamps and colours on your first card with a lovely fresh feel. A lovely fairy scene again with a fab colour combo and your last one is lovely and inky - never seen that PB die though.

Brenda, è assolutamente meraviglioso come costruisci i tuoi layers con i timbri AALL and Create!!

Hello Brenda, I'm finally making it round and what eye candy! I love all 3 cards. Such a pleasure to see someone use the Inktense pencils this way and your design using the stamps is lovely. Then the fairy scene, the moon is breathtaking and you've laid out Nature beautifully. Lastly the Oxide background so casually perfect for your butterflies and trellis. Thanks for my refresh today! Have a great weekend, xoxo
