Autumn in the woods

Morning Peeps another new challenge at Allsorts where I am your host and my chosen theme is 'Anything Goes with the option of Autumn'. We have two prizes this week, the lovely Lavinia Spotty Toadstools and a Tim Holtz pennant die.

Can I also give a plug for a pretty new challenge called River of Creativity, aimed at all type of craft,  not just card making. We are trying hard to get the challenge established which was started by Zoe and we would love to see you there. Our theme this month is Wildlife and the challenge is aimed at all types of craft, so how about scrapbook layouts using wildlife photos or maybe a decorated gift bag incorporating animals, stitched or knitted items with animal prints, so many possibilities. My Allsorts piece this week fits into the theme rather well although it wasn't planned that way.

I bought several stamps from the most recent Lavinia release and have been playing with them in-between creating TV samples, Bumble Lodge is most definitely a firm favourite already and here I have coupled it up with one the the Hares, Toadstools and lots of worker stamps.  I also stamped a matching envie. My daughter came in as I was adding the finishing touches and said she thought Lavinia made Fairy stamps, when I answered they did she asked where were whey then......in the Fairy house of course!

Going off piste from crafting I was trying to explain to a friend the other day my current nail design so a photo seemed easiest, the idea wasn't Halloween but I guess they do have a hint of that. I am fortunate to have long strong nails and have them done every couple of weeks (apart from a year plus interval during COVID) yesterday was my nail day so this is the new design.

And a sneak peek of what I have on my post tomorrow over at the Chocolate Baroque blog here using Chrysanthemum Blueprint although not really a sneak peek as it was on The Craft Store earlier this month.

Happy weekend all and I hope you will find time to join in both of the challenges.

Fantastic Bumble Lodge autumnal card.
Also love the “sneaky peek “ too - very pretty.

Wow - your nails are amazing. Could never put my flimsy split and uncared-for ones on display!!!

Stunning autumn card as always .. your background is amazing and something to aspire to ! Love you tag as well .. pretty but elegant vintage look. And as for those nails .. wow! Stunning. Let’s just say I would never post a pic of mine as they are cut completely short and never polished .. and in COVID world I’d be far too nervous to go to a nail salon. Have a great weekend x

I love the stunning scene that you've created Brenda, but then you know how much I love Lavinia stamps. I love your nails too, such a long time since I've worn nail varnish. In those days my long nails were my own not like the acrylic ones that most people have these days. You are lucky to be able to grow yours long, mine break so easily these days.

Oh my word Brenda these two cards are awesome I love the scene you have created on the first one I recently bought one of these huts it is something like I would love to live in, although I am not a fairy, lol, the rabbit and other stamps bring this to life and it looks so magical, the flower tag is absolutely gorgeous the colours and image are superb, talking of superb your nails are fantastic, my mums nails grow like yours I have to keep them cut really short though as she is unable to look after them, normally I follow my mum in body shape, thick hair but not where nails are concerned mine keep breaking so I have to keep them really short, before I had my son I did have wonderfully long nails but when he was born I think he took all my goodness, lol, well that's my excuse, lol.

Beautiful, stamped designs on both your card and tag Brenda. Fairies and all things magical are my favourite so if I had to chose it would be the Bumble Lodge card.

Beautiful wildlife card and love the pretty one below. I haven’t entered challenges for a few years now. I find it too time consuming, linking and checking each week. Hope the new one takes off though as I know many people so like them.

It's such a beautiful card Brenda, the fairy house is fabulous! And I really need to get some of Lavinia's animals! I do have one cat stamp from them but really loving the hares, hedgehogs and some others I've seen!
The CB tag is really gorgeous too! Love the pink and gray color combo!

I love the look of Bumble Lodge too and it's so popular it is out of stock at my favourite craft shop! I will get it eventually... And it makes for a fabulous card along with the lovely colours, hare and mushrooms. The CB tag is beautiful, great work on the fussy cutting!
Still adjusting to life without the kid... It's been made so much more difficult because of the 18 months when we were virtually together all of the time and no teenage strops to have about going out, drinking in pubs or driving (3 months to get a provisional license and no lessons available!). Still.. I may get the loan of a new craft room!

Wow your lavinia card is so super! Great depth and so totally autumn-combined!
I my self have long and strong nails to, nut not at the moment; I cut them when they are in the way... and with all the painting it is easier to have then short. And I never put anything on them; sitting still isn't one of my best skills :) Hugs, Gerrina
