It's the first Sunday of the month so time for our new challenges at We Love Chocolate Baroque and Stamping Sensations. Our themes for this month are 'Favourite Stamps' and 'Any Celebration' and our prizes come from Chocolate Baroque and Craft Stash.
Chocolate Baroque are back at The Craft Store this Friday 6th August at 9am and 1pm when Lesley will be showcasing some old favourite Christmas stamps and brand new ones from artwork by Fiona Randall, there are something really different so do tune in or set to records.
Choosing a favourite stamp is always difficult as like most of us favourites change as new goodies come along. But what never changes with me is my love of floral stamps and in particular Poppies. So as CB released the gorgeous Polygon Poppy last month that is my current favourite and features on both the top creation and the card further down.
My Stamping Sensations creation uses a new as well as my very first AALL and Create stamp set which was a Birthday present from my good friend Tracy who knows exactly what I like, thank you so much. It's a huuuuuge stamp, even larger than my Timmy stamp platform so for my first couple of makes I used just sections of the main stamp along with the large worker stamp which I love equally as it has numbers and text which always make me happy on inky cards.
I started with an oxide background in greens and oranges, stamped the Poppies onto a piece of card inked with Crackling Campfire, cut out and fixed onto the base and then did the same with the leaves. Next I stamped some more numbers, circles, 'splats' and text down the edges. Some white splatters and computed generated sentiment printed onto a pice of matching inked card.
My second creation using Polygon Poppy is (for me) verging on CAS, the image stamped in black, some of the worker stamps from the set added to extend the image, Poppies coloured, some numbers added in red to carry the colour and a spotlight embellishment which has a clear epoxy 'glass'.

The accordeon card is fantastic, I love colours and all that stamping! The other two are wonderful too Brenda!
Happy Sunday x
Like you I adore Poppies and have been disappointed this year to see so few as I've driven around the Lincolnshire country side. Will just have to use my stamp stash to make up for it as you have done here. Gorgeous glorious hot hot hot images absolutely love all of them and think I might just have got an idea from your post. It is a real pleasure to join you all at we love CB this month, thank you. x
Hi Brenda,
Can't beat Any card with poppies on. Beautiful flowers and our favourites too. 3 stunning cards designed beautifully in a lovely array of colours too. I am in awe as always and inspired. Take care dearie. Big hugs xx
Wonderful cards Brenda , as always I love your floral stamps and colours, full of life! I hope you are fine, as your family too. And I wish you are having a very nice Sunday.
Sending you big hugs, Caty
More and more gorgeous makes. Bring on the poppies. Love them. Been such a bad blogger too. Life is very much taking over things at the moment. Hugs Mrs A.
Whenever and wherever I see poppies I always think of you Brenda so it doesn't come as a surprise to see poppies appear as favourites on your post!! Such beautiful cards and like, in real life, beautiful colours. We intended to have poppies this year but dear Bowie has taken to digging craters in our borders in order to lie on the earth to cool down...sigh...maybe next year!! xx
All beautiful poppy cards Brenda. Lovely warm colours on your first one. The second has a very nice vintage look and a good idea with the little embellishment on the third. Marlies
Beautiful poppy cards but then we expect nothing else from you :) Always a treat to see what you create.

Each one of these cards is so beautifully done with the gorgeous flowers and artistically done backgrounds. My favorite is probably the second card but it's not easy to choose!
Fabulous cards Brenda, I love them all, the colours are gorgeous and the stamps you have used are beautiful.
Pat xx
I don't know how you always manage to make such fabulous cards. You don't ever seem to have an off day. I suspect you will say that it is just all your years of experience, but it really shows. These are 3 fabulous creations. I particularly like your CAS one, the little frame for the poppy is a fabulous idea xx
The first card is so stunning, what a fabulous make.
The two other card are pretty as always your flower cards are;-))m
So beautiful and creative cards x
Wow what beautiful cards. I always think of you with poppy stamps
The first folded card is so beautiful, those colours are amazing. Thought I didn't recognise the poppy on the second card lol! A new one to me I think or I may have been put off by the size but you've used it wonderfully.
Your CAS card is so elegant in the red and black.
Wonderful cards! Love all of them! I especially like the first one very much!
Hugs,
Conny
I love all of these stunning cards Brenda.
Sue xx
Wow Brenda your creations are gorgeous, I too was shocked at the size of the stamp. I love your inky backgrounds on the fist two cards, and then the composition looks fabulous. Love the minimalist look of the third, especially with just the red, black and white.
Happy crafting

Your second card caught my attention as soon as I saw it. I love the pop of red and the spotlight embellishment has a huge wow factor. I’ve never seen anything like this, it’s original and a beauty of a card.
Lovely to see your wonderful gallery as always Brenda. Your poppies card took my breath away! Vicky x
