Keep it CAS at Allsorts

Morning Peeps a new challenge at Allsorts, and Tracy's theme is 'CAS'. I've been rather quiet in blogland as my eyes have been awal on and off for a couple of weeks so limiting screen time. Also worries with Anysia and baby, it's ten days overdue and midwifes had concerns for the last few weeks. But due to COVID and staff shortages were unable to take her into hospital until Thursday, now it's constant procrastination, so to say we are not impressed with the NHS at the moment is an understatement.

Our prize this week comes from Chocolate Baroque. It's also one of my days to post over at the Chocolate Baroque blog here so also have my shares from there which formed part of last months The Craft Store TV shows.

I'm just hoping the above is CAS enough, it is just one layer! Stamp is from CB Honey Bee which I know of a fav of Tracy over a Pan Pastel background.

This one using CB Wish Flower has been in my folder for ages to thought it was time for an airing. On to my shares from my post here and the first uses Honey Bee again.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

A new Pappavero

Morning everyone, I'm a bit like trains this week, two posts in three days, that doesn't happen often these days but I have lots of shares, our mid month inspirational posts at Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque as well as from my post today over at the Chocolate Baroque blog.

My first shares uses the beautiful new Polygon Poppies or Pappevaro, I love all Poppies but there is something about this set which I really adore, it can be CAS or built up to something much more. As well as the Poppies themselves, the workers stamps of script, numbers and hexagons make for something that little bit different and so versatile, you can see the worker stamps played a part in my card below as well.

Above by WLCB mid month share using the lovely Calla Lily from Flora and Fauna and part of one of my sentiments on Life is so Much Better along with some of the worker stamps from Polygon Poppies.

My Stamping Sensations share uses a Birthday gift which was my first ever Aall and Create stamps set and my is it a biggie and some beautiful images.

These are just a few of my shares from last months Craft Store shows which featured several new stamp sets, as well as Polygon Poppies there was Majestic Crane and Walk Tall both of which feature on the re-cycled tissue box below.

One Earth

Afternoon Peeps, I'm running really late here, started this post at silly o'clock this morning, then BT rocked up and started playing with the cables outside in the drove which here in the Fen are all overhead and you can guess the rest.

It's inspiration time again at River of Creativity andI have a couple more shares following our One Earth theme. Interpret as you will and we welcome all nature of craft, not just paper crafts as we love to see what keeps you occupied.

Butterfly Tree stamped onto black and white rice papers which I sprayed with Oxide Sprays and just aded a bit of colour and stamped the word Earth on to some Aida for an organic feel.

Oxide Sprays again for the background mixed with some of the new Mica Stains, to say they are lush is an understatement. Moons and word stamped with Versafine and heat embossed with detail gold EP.

Thanks as always for you kind visits.

Never stop making wishes

Morning Peeps, before I move onto our new challenge a few words about Kath who we lost last week. Devastating for her family, a huge loss to the craft world and everyone who knew her and on a personal note I grieve the loss of a friend. She crossed paths with so many of us and your heartfelt words on my Allsorts post last Sunday are most appreciated not least by her family who are very touched seeing how much she meant to so many.

So at Allsorts it's the last of our two week themes over the Summer period. Lorraine is our host with the theme of 'Add some Sparkle' and our prize this week comes from WOWVOW offering a £15 voucher from the varied range of goodies on their website.

Fairies for my DT pieces which of course are Lavinia, at the top a simple design with an oval inked through a mask and then the Toadstool, Fairy and Buds stamped with it still in place. A sentiment which is a really old one from Stamp Addicts and the buds and wings glittered.

A chipboard tag inked with Oxides, a masked moon and the Fairy and foliages stamped in black and glitter added to the wings and Chinese Lanterns.

Have a good weekend everyone.

One Earth

Morning Peeps, a new challenge starts today over at River of Creativity where our theme is 'One Earth and that theme follows through into my second piece which is one of my samples for Friday's Craft Store TV shows.

I'll admit this one did take a bit of thinking about then the idea gelled and it also made a perfect Birthday card for one of our DIL's who is something of an environmentalist and wants to save most things that move or otherwise. She loved the whole concept of the piece.

I started with a free Globe download, then stamped a CB Harmony Tree into place and the girl and rabbit beneath and one of my own Life is so much Better sentiments. On the other side a computer generated pair of hands and a CB leaf stamped and placed in them, a computer generated sentiment and two small slices of wood, one stamped and the other handwritten and some washi tape with leaves along some edges.

Tomorrow sees two shows with Lesley from Chocolate Baroque at the Craft Store, one show is all about Christmas with a lovely collection of text based stamps and the second show features new and rather different stamps from Fiona Randall. Above is one I made using the Celestial set which I thought worked rather well with our ROC theme.

Holly Script is an old set but I fancied a mixed media piece stamping onto a whiteboard heart, an acrylic brayered base card and holly leaves stencilled with coloured texture paste. The three little Poinsettias are one of the worker stamps from Poinsettia Script.

And finally, from my post over at the CB blog, a new shape for me but showcased four of the beautiful CB images from Floral and Fauna perfectly.

Have a good weekend everyone and my thanks as always for your kind visits and words of encouragement.

Looks like it's Poppies again

It's the first Sunday of the month so time for our new challenges at We Love Chocolate Baroque and Stamping Sensations. Our themes for this month are 'Favourite Stamps' and 'Any Celebration' and our prizes come from Chocolate Baroque and Craft Stash.

Chocolate Baroque are back at The Craft Store this Friday 6th August at 9am and 1pm when Lesley will be showcasing some old favourite Christmas stamps and brand new ones from artwork by Fiona Randall, there are something really different so do tune in or set to records.

Choosing a favourite stamp is always difficult as like most of us favourites change as new goodies come along. But what never changes with me is my love of floral stamps and in particular Poppies. So as CB released the gorgeous Polygon Poppy last month that is my current favourite and features on both the top creation and the card further down.

My Stamping Sensations creation uses a new as well as my very first AALL and Create stamp set which was a Birthday present from my good friend Tracy who knows exactly what I like, thank you so much. It's a huuuuuge stamp, even larger than my Timmy stamp platform so for my first couple of makes I used just sections of the main stamp along with the large worker stamp which I love equally as it has numbers and text which always make me happy on inky cards.

I started with an oxide background in greens and oranges, stamped the Poppies onto a piece of card inked with Crackling Campfire, cut out and fixed onto the base and then did the same with the leaves. Next I stamped some more numbers, circles, 'splats' and text down the edges. Some white splatters and computed generated sentiment printed onto a pice of matching inked card.

My second creation using Polygon Poppy is (for me) verging on CAS, the image stamped in black, some of the worker stamps from the set added to extend the image, Poppies coloured, some numbers added in red to carry the colour and a spotlight embellishment which has a clear epoxy 'glass'.
