Spring Fairies and Flowers and a garden visitor

It's the first Sunday of the month so time for our new challenges at We Love Chocolate Baroque and Stamping Sensations. Our themes for this month are 'Springtime and 'Fantasy and Magical'. Prizes come from Chocolate Baroque and and Be Creative and at both prizes are to the value of £25.

Using my recently acquired triptych die which I am rather linking, I inked the three sections with Oxide sprays, dabbing off the excess to soften the finish. I then stamped a whole collection of CB spring stamps, all are listed above my work on the WLCB challenge bog. Finally some stencilled circles and the sentiments added.

My Stamping Sensations piece was a Birthday card for a friend whose Birthday was at the end of March. She loves all things inky and Lavinia as much as I do so I built up the scene with a good number of Lavinia stamps and Oxides for the background.

Also wanted to share a photo of a visitor we had the other day, we get visits from Roe, Red and Muntjac Deers from time to time, most frequently when there is fruit in the orchard when they gorge on windfalls. But since a neighbouring farm cut down a row of very high conifers and hedgerow over the Winter it displaced a lot of wildlife and we are seeing them jump the fences into the paddocks and gardens more often.

I'm not sure what this little fellow who is a Muntjac found to munch on but he stayed for quite a while mooching around in the shrubberies.

Hoping you all have a lovely Easter Sunday.

Such beautiful cards Brenda and my favourite theme this month too. We live on an estate but 200 yards down the road there is open countryside and we very often see these small deer wandering around the lanes and even on the estate at night.

Happy Easter Sue xx

Hi B, Yes Bella is our new baby, still only 4 weeks old so we have to wait until she is 8 weeks, she is pure bred and we have a breeders agreement so in 2-3 years he will breed her once then we have her desexed. Rosa was a name I initially thought of but decided on Bella...xx[you know we lost Monte?]

Lovely cards Brenda! I've never seen a Muntjac; he's beautiful!

The triptych die is very effective Brenda - this would make a beautiful room divider if it were scaled up! I really love the variety of spring flowers you've stamped on this card too. There's definitely a lot of magic going on in your fantasy card and lots of great techniques being used too. These little Muntjacs are a victim of their own success I think and we're seeing more and more. Perhaps you're right and they're being displaced - there's been a lot of housebuilding going on in our area. Vicky x

Both so beautiful Brenda, love how your compositions come to life with colour. Something new to discover when the trio fold is opened, it works so seamless and then onto your second how the moonlight falls to light up the flora and fauna. Magical makes. Thank you for the inspiration.
Creative wishes Tracey x
