Swallow Tail Butterfly

Morning Peeps, time for a new challenge at Allsorts and our host is Helene whose would like us to use a 'Stamped Image'. I also have a post over at the Chocolate Baroque blog so sharing some of my creations from there as well.

This week our sponsor is Stamp Addicts offering the winner a £15 store voucher. Sarah will be on Hochanda again this coming week, Wednesday 15th at 5pm showcasing some new Flower and Butterfly stamps with an emphasis on shrink plastic. It's a last minute show so it's been a bit of a testing week trying to get sample made amidst a craft room refit and a bandaged right thumb which I managed to slice across the end.

The Swallow Tail Butterflies above came about rather be accident, seems a sheet of acetate had got in with the shrink plastic and of course didn't shrink, but I rather liked the contorted shape so decided to go with them onto a stencilled background along with a SA sentiment.

I had drew the stems, stamped some SA leaves and added the Doodle Blooms which I stamped onto shrink plastic over a Pan Pastel sky.

And my Chocolate Baroque shares, details of everything I used can be found on my post here.

Hope you all have a good weekend and as always many thanks for your visits and comments which always make my day.

Your acetate butterflies do look amazing and on such a beautiful background. Sorry to hear you've hurt your thumb - we realise how much we use them when something like that happens. Beautiful CB samples too, love the intense colours on the last one. L x

Even if it was "an accident" it created a beautiful shine to the butterflies, have a lovely weekend!

Such pretty cards Brenda with gorgeous colors and loving how the acetate butterflies turned out!
Sorry to hear about the thumb. Hope it heals quickly! I smashed my left thumb yesterday, thought I did some damage to it as it hurt so badly, but it feels much better today.

How gorgeous, B! Brenda, I love that butterfly idea for shrink plastic or acetate. How incredible! All your spring time creations are beautiful. I know you all in the UK are ready for spring, after your dreary, long, unusually hard winter! Wishing you all the best, love, de

Oh I do love a happy accident and your butterflies look absolutely beautiful! Love the shrinkie flowers too - and well done for getting them made in the chaos and to a deadline. Love the Chocolate Baroque shares too - the bodies on the butterflies on your last card are a nice touch. Enjoy your weekend! Vicky x

Beautiful cards Brenda. Lovely Butterflies and I realy like the pearl centers on the top one and the arrow centers on the last, a lovely effect. Your flowers look so bright and cheerful and a very nice effect with the plastic. Marlies.

What a gorgeous collection of cards, Brenda but my favourite is definitely the first one!!! What a happy accident those butterflies are. They look positively luminous against the softly stencilled background and who cares if they didn't shrink lol!
Hope you are well.

Those butterflies look stunning Brenda - happy accident! It's ages since I used my shrink, but those flower blooms look lovely, might have to get it out.
The CB shares are gorgeous against their inky backgrounds.
