Dragonfly Art

Our first monthly challenges of 2021 start today at We Love Chocolate Baroque and Stamping Sensations where our themes are 'Feminine and 'Favourite Stamps'.

My top card uses the new Dragonfly Collage along with a few other stamps from Just Useful all of which form part of tomorrows One Day Special on Hochanda starting at 6pm GMT. I have a YouTube video on my channel making this card, direct link here.

My Stamping Sensations share uses a favourite Butterfly stamp which comes in the form of Penny Black Soft Wings, an oxide inky background in one of my favourite colour palettes of green and blue.........a combination which according to my Gran "should never be seen", but I beg to differ.

I love your green and blue colour scheme! The saying is surely outdated! The Dragonfly collage card looks brilliant too, I love the black/white/orange contrast, so striking.
Have a great Sunday. x

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your video tutorials, Brenda. You cannot imagine how helpful they are for me that I never attended card making classes and I am self taught. Thank you so much, my friend, and please keep making such interesting and great videos! I am in love with your cards, sweetie. Kisses and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wow Brenda, such wonderful cards, really the wings are in your mojo at this moment! Thanks so much for the video about the dragonfly one, love very much the impressive and bold feel, it will be a pleasure watching you at work. The butterflies card looks really happy as the sentiment says, fabulous blue and green butterflies and those flowers really give happiness, they seem shooting stars. Amazing oxides background and moon/sun!!

Lol, I remember that..."blue and green should never be seen" and yellow and green was " squashed caterpillar". I can't agree as they look fabulous together. Hope you are doing okay Brenda xx

Exquisite cards Brenda - and may you have a blessed and safe New Year, and through out the year too.
I too have heard the blue and green saying, but if green plants have blue flowers, who are we to say otherwise ? :)
Stay safe
Blessings

I remember my mother saying that - blue and green should never be seen without a colour in-between. I have no idea why. Both your cards are beautiful but I think the blue and green has to be my favourite xx

Both so beautiful Brenda, you have a real eye for colour and composition It would be a hard choice for me to pick a favourite of either as each has it's own personality. Very inspiring.. Best wishes for 2021 Tracey x
