Blessings and a bit of vibrancy

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts, our host this week is Kath with the theme of 'Celebrations', our prize this week is a lovely Tonic Butterfly border die. Further down you will also find my shares from my post over at the Chocolate Baroque blog.

I was reminded that I haven't updated on the NICE appraisal meeting I attended as the Patient Expert Witness where they considered the availability of my monthly migraine injections Emgality (Galcanezumab) through NHS England. The delay was because I had to sign an NDA so was unable to share the news until it was officially announced on the NIC website.

Grief it was hard keeping the secret, but I's pleased to say the drug gained approval and has the ability to change the lives of thousands of chronic and episodic migraneurs. But that's not the end of it, now I have to persuade my GP as they have discretion to decide if their practices will prescribe, so until then I still have to pay for the drug.

Back to my share for this week, A Penny Black stamp inked with Distress Markers and the colour built up using my stamp platform. The background has random stamping and stencilling and a PB sentiment.

Both are samples from the recent Hochanda TV shows, details of what I did to create the above canvas and card below here.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Three excellent cards again. I love the colour combo on the first, the lovely depth in the background of your second and the bright colours and quirkiness of your third. Thank you. That's really good news about the NICe guidance which is very positive progress, hope the funding follows. xx

Excellent news re the medication, B, been there done that Downunder, but my current “you beaut” med isn’t actually affordable, as over $100 a week on a pension, so I waited till available on PBS and thankfully is now for almost two years. However GPs can’t prescribe it, must be done by an endocrinologist, which is okay as mine does it for me, but like you had to jump through all sorts of hoops, had waited 17 years from first time on trial and several more in the years since then.
Pray GP swiftly agrees ..
Beautiful cards, lovely soft background in first one, reminds me of Eileen’s work.
Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Gorgeous, gorgeous makes, Brenda! I hope you do get your migraine meds from your GP... hey if you managed to influence NICE this should be a walk in the park. But if not, don't hesitate to make puppy eyes, look desolate, cry... you have (and they must be well aware of that) enough to contend with! Have a great Sunday. x

I love the stamp you used for your Allsorts card- those lanterns are beautiful and very effective in red and brown. Absolutely loving the colours you've used on your second card too and the way you created that wonderful depth to your background. What a fabulous abstract design the final card is! I love the way you kept the light bulb uncoloured which makes everything else look super-bright! Vicky x

Stunning PB card, Brenda. Love the colours.
Glad to hear you've found a solution to your migraines, but what a palaver! I do hope your Practice decide to prescribe it. You certainly need it and I'm sure it doesn't come cheap. But let's just be thankful for a solution...you couldn't have continued normal life with the headaches you were getting, so it must be a huge relief, to say the least.
This really is a stunning card. I love the way you did it, with that gorgeous fadeout stamping/stencilling. I didn't get that stamp, though I love it...I couldn't do as good a job as you do, though. Gorgeous!

What glorious cards Brenda and once more a happy memory of Nan and Pop triggered by the chinese lanterns!! I am so pleased to hear that this treatment will be available to those who need it and I hope that your own GP will allow your continued use. I hope your sugar has arrived, I suspect it was Dikes of Stalbridge. They are about 12 miles away from us and used to deliver fabulous sandwiches for Practice Meetings, so they get a thumbs up from me!! xx

Another grand selection of cards. First one is my favourite. No need to apologize over not entering any cards. I am just the same. Finding it hard keeping on top of everything myself. Keeping food supplies coming into the house is my number one priority and then sourcing anything The Doc says he needs/must have on the web.Staying put as much as possible with only drs, opticians and dental appts. on the agenda. Stay safe and well. Hugs Mrs A.
