My lovely garden

Morning Peeps, it's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Allsorts, our host this week is Helene with the theme of  'My Lovely Garden' and we have a pretty set of floral layering stamps for this weeks winner.

I made this one quite a time back and found it lurking in my image folder and thought it fitted the theme perfectly. I love Hollyhocks which make a beautiful cottage garden border display in June along with Digitalis, together they offer so much colour.

I repeat stamped the Penny Black image which is a good old wood mounted stamp so you will know a good few years old, coloured in and added a mask for the sun and some gently shading with Pan Pastels. The sentiment is also PB.

Random Org., has spun the names from last Saturday's post and I am pleased to tell you the winner of the Altenew stamp set is comment number 18 Anne.......please mail me so I can send you prize.

Happy weekend all.

A beautiful card Brenda, such a shame that you don't seem to see many hollyhocks in gardens these days, I've always loved the way they stand proud and tall.

Very pretty indeed Brenda, a super colour and a great sentiment. Hollyhocks have never done very well in our windy garden but I get to enjoy them at Mums xx

It's certainly a lovely garden with these purple hollyhocks!! Beautiful card!
Here the weather is really hot, it seems August and no rain by some time... Plants suffer and I have to give them a lot of water daily.

I do love hollyhocks although it irritates me when they bloom so far and die and then the rest of the stem blooms. If only they could look like these lovely ones on your pretty card.

Such a pretty card Brenda. Loving the flowers. For many years I've been dreaming of having a sorts of English cottage garden, took a world wide Pandemic to get me to actually start planting. While it's just in the beginning stages I've already been enjoying it this summer and will add more flowers next year.
