Magical World's

Morning Peeps, it's a bit of a sad day in our household today, it should have been Anysia and Sam's wedding day and the sun is shining!! Over a year of planning and suddenly COVID-19 reared it's ugly head and everything went out of the window.

As yet no new date has been set as most of the service providers, venue, caterer, florist etc., who had already been paid and not about to refund are already booked for next year by those arranging weddings before all this kicked off. There were one or two winter dates when everyone was available at the same time, but the whole wedding theme, dresses etc., was arranged around Anysia's favourite flowers Peonies which have a short season right now. So at the moment we are looking towards 2022 and that seems such a long, long way off and I pray my failing eyesight will hang in there long enough for me to see it all.

Onto our new challenge at Allsorts, our host this week is Tracy Mouse and would like us to create some 'Magical World's'. This weeks winner will receive a Lavinia stamp which was another of those I repeat ordered without checking what I already had but will have to go to the winner at some later point, not that I've been out but told that not only has our local Post Office been closed since March, the village post box has now been taped up with a message nearest one is........basically miles away.

Both of my cards feature Lavinia stamps, oxides and acrylic pains in the backgrounds, generally an inky messy playtime! The above Fairy is the one our Allsorts winner will receive.

I also have a post over on the Chocolate Baroque blog today and sharing those as well.

Have a sunny weekend everyone.

Such pretty makes, Brenda. I think I must break out my NBUS fairy-themed supplies this week and see if I can come up with something.
Happy to hear the sun is out where you live. Sounds like you need it with everything else that's going on.
Hope you are staying safe and well!

how frustrating that the wedding has had to be postponed for so long :(
Loving your cards Brenda, especially the white accents in the top card - that makes the wee plants look 3-D
The chocolate Baroque cards are stunning - love the combination of the tools and the flowers
Stay safe

Gorgeous cards Brenda and the theme is so up my street too. I love the CB samples that you've made, they're so colourful. Sorry to hear that the family wedding had to be cancelled, but at least everyone will be safe.

Gorgeous, Brenda. Love your fairy scenes - very magical worlds.

So sorry about your son's wedding and all your planning. I hope you'll be able to organise another date. Things are so uncertain at the moment, aren't they? The venue for my son's wedding burned down two weeks before the wedding, lol, but they managed to pull something together in the castle grounds, using different rooms and a marquis. They were even interviewed on TV because of it. It takes so much careful planning and coordination to arrange a wedding - not to mention the cost - so I can understand your disappointment. Hope it all works out. The good thing is they're still here to enjoy it when it does happen - and so are you!

Lovely, inky artwork today. Lovely to see you creating again.

Hello Brenda, how disappointing for the couple and your family as a whole. It's such a pity that weddings have to be booked so far in advance, but I guess it is what it is. Keeping fingers crossed that your eyesight will not deteriorated before the next date.
A gorgeous selection of cards, I especially love the fairy cards, they are brilliant, take care, Kate x

Super cards Brenda and of course the lovely Lavinia stamps! You always produce such class whatever you use. You have showcased the Chocolate Baroque stamps so well as always...love the arty feel to them. I feel so sorry for your family having to cancel their wedding and not rearrange. It is so wrong in my opinion that these places hang on to money and do not refund...usually because they have already spent it!!! No consolation at this time but I believe in fate ad maybe at the end of the day when they can eventually get remarried it will be all the better and more memorable for the wait. Things usually ave away of working out not apparent at the time. Big hugs , and continue to take care xx

Definitely a sad day after all the planning that goes into arranging a Wedding - this COVID 19 has caused a lot of heartbreak.

Such beautiful cards Brenda and great choice of colors on each one!!
I can imagine the frustration and sadness of the cancelled wedding after all the planning! And understandable that they don't want a winter wedding!
Happy to hear the sun is shining! Nice weather here as well this weekend!

Five real crackers Brenda, stunning backgrounds and lovely images and not to mention the lovely designs and choices of colours, Love them all.
Well that is disgusting that they are not re-funding the monies that have been already paid. I think that you should name and shame them in your local newspaper. It is not Anysia or Sams fault.

Magical worlds indeed, Brenda! I love your Lavinia landscape and methinks I need that faerie in my stash... (Can't believe your Post office is closed, ours has been working almost normally and Royal Mail deliveries have been a life saver!). Sorry about this wedding delay, hope it will all work out! x

Hello Brenda, I am very sorry that your son's wedding has had to be postponed, with all that it entails, it is sad. Here also some friends of my son have to postpone their wedding, I think hopefully it will be next year. It's disappointing, it's true, but there is no other option. We have to wait a little longer.
I have to say that I really like your cards, as they are always very beautiful, and very happy, with unique designs.
I wish you a good week, and take good care of yourself,
Big hugs,
Caty
