I've seen the above background technique used a few times recently so thought I would give it a go. I used linen card and scored the lines then dragged two colours of distress ink down the card in the same direction as the grooves. Next I stamped the Penny Black blossoms inking direct to stamp and then the sentiment using a grey ink rather than black to achieve a softer look.
Some Fairy magic for my second (original) Stamping Sensations share, a distress ink background using a torn paper and masks, stamped the Lavinia Fairy, Trees, Ivy and sentiment with Versafine Clair, then the flowers in the foreground using Versamark and heat embossed with some orange EP. Finally some liquid pearls around the Ivy.
Lesley launched lots of new stamps in the September Hochanda shows and these are a few of my samples I created for the shows which I also shared on the Chocolate Baroque blog yesterday, the new stamp sets are: Happy Flowers Day, Celebration Bouquet, Filigree Trading Hearts and Geometric Trading Hearts

A fabulous selection of cards, Brenda, each so different yet all so beautiful. Like Sally, the one with the fritillaries is my favourite. Might have to investigate that stamp! x

These are all so beautiful! You are so creative, I love how you used all these stamps. Beautiful scenes and collages. And I definitely need to try that background technqique from your first card.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a good week!
These are all beautiful Brenda. I especially like the first one. I like the effect of the background you made and you used a lovely flower stamp. Great sentiment too! Marlies
Un abbraccio
Wow, pretty amazing cards as always Brenda. Your attention to detail is not lost in these photos. Love them.

Wow what a treath so many beauties together! I can't even begin to pick a favorite, their are too many! And you have inspired me to use the one on the first CB-card again! Never thought about using that one in a more Art Journal/MM-way... Hugs, Gerrina
You have bee a productive lady Brenda! All these are stunning but the one that stands out for me is the fritillary (? spelling on that one) card...roll on spring too! xx

Gracious Brenda, this is like opening a box of the most sumptuous chocolates - impossible to choose! I absolutely love the first card and that scoring technique with the distress inks looks fun (distress inks are definitely on my wish list now!) and the snakes head fritillary card is a wow too :)
They are all really super cards, some great images, backgrounds and colours.
