Morning Peeps, it's Saturday which means it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts and I have chosen the theme is 'Ring a Ring O' Roses, a Pocket Full of Posies'. We have two lovely prizes this week, a Heartfelt Creations garden stamp and a pretty floral paper pad.
The Roses are Chocolate Baroque all stamped with black versafine and heat embossed with detail clear, cut out and coloured with Spectrum pencils. I drew a pencil circle around the computer generated sentiment and used Rare Earth (Tattered Lace) stamps to add foliage around the circle the arranged the Roses using Pinflaire to give height and then tucked in the leaves and a coordinating bow. My Allsorts team mates have some lovely inspiration to share so please do pop over to the challenge blog.
And as it's May and we had sunshine on Wednesday and blue skies................so welcome after day's on end of cloud and temperatures of 10/11 deg.....................I had to wander up to the top paddock and take some photos of the Hawthorn - aka May. Some of the bushes are not fully in bloom yet but had to grab the photos just in case we get rain as inevitably it will ruin the blossoms.................and much as I hate to say it, we do desperately need some as everywhere is so dry and at the moment the hay crop is not looking promising.

Beautifully put together Brenda, it must have taken a long time to colour, fussy cut etc... Rather special!
Love the photos of your flowering garden, so unlike my small and bare backyard!
Gorgeous card with lovely roses.
Fabulous pics of pretty flowers.
Happy weekend;-))m
Wonderful card. Love your wreath of roses.

Good morning Brenda
A beautiful card, nothing is better than a rose.... Love the sentiment you have used too and the bow is gorgeous.
The weather here has taken a turn for the worse. We have had beautiful warm sunshine all week but along came the rain yesterday and it hasn't let up since. But as you say we do need the rain even in the rain drench Northwest.
Enjoy your weekend
Lesley.
Love the card! Beautiful photos.
Stunning card as always Brenda, those roses are fabulous. Love the photos of your Hawthorn... Nature certainly is the best when it comes to creating beauty. Enjoy the weekend xx
Die Karte ist superschön mit den Rosen.
Vor allem die Rosenfarbe ist ein Traum. Excellent gemacht.
Und deine Fotos sind einfach herrlich. Der Frühling ist immer wieder das Highlight.
Liebe Grüße
Your pretty card is breathtaking Brenda, those roses are absolutely stunning. Beautiful blossom pics too, mine were sadly blown away in the wind we've had.
Thanks for your kind comment re my eyes and I'm pleased to say I don't have to hunt for my glasses to read labels and cooking instructions now.

Beautiful card Brenda, love the design with the gorgeous roses. Fabulous photo's the blossom looks gorgeous, we had a little rain yesterday after three days of beautiful sunshine, but like you we desperately need some on the garden as everywhere is so dry.

Nature is my favorite place to be! I love visiting botanical gardens as I don't have such pretty surroundings in my own backyard. Your blooming trees are absolutely gorgeous!
A beautiful roses card too, you make the most amazing bows! Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
You are fabulous at making wreath cards Brenda and this one is a stunner. I do like the mulberry tones that you've used and I can just imagine this one done in sepia too. It's a beautiful card and I love your photos too, the blossoms look amazing in full bloom don't they. Enjoy your weekend. Crafty hugs, Sandra x
Beautiful Brenda, the stamp is gorgeous as is your colouring in.
Lovely pictures.
How many blossoms are blooming in your garden!!! Nature is always so generous and wonderful!! Amazing card with that gorgous ring of roses, love the vintage colours and the double bow is just fabulous!
I LOVE this card Brenda, such a lovely wreath and the ribbons are gorgeous, it would look great in a box frame. I love the May tree, it's just like spring snow!! Surprise is sound after a week in, and is on restricted grazing (more than usual). I am so strict with her nutrition and exercise so can only blame the late frosts for this attack. Vet would like to test her for Cushings when she has her teeth done in June, so we will see. Hope you are enjoying some good days Brenda xx
gorgeous card Brenda and a fab tree that is blooming with those white blossoms.
Gr Karin
Beautiful card, beautiful blooms, both on your card and in your garden Brenda.
Happy crafting

Oh what a beautiful card Brenda - and thanks for those beautiful photos - I did not know that May and Hawthorne are one and the same.
Blessings
Maxine
Beautiful card and what wonderful blossom. I wish it lasted all Summer
We are dry, too, Brenda, but yesterday were blessed with THREE INCHES of rain! Feast or Famine, right? The photographs of your flowering shrubbery is amazing - especially the close-up. I don't believe any of our flowers have pink stamens - trying to recall college biology - is it the anther? I think so - I don't recall seeing pink before! Gorgeous!
You have taught me something new today! I did not realize there were several versions of that verse. Your UK version is the first time I've heard those lyrics. It sounds so different from what we sang as children! I like yours better! LOL It's a beautiful way of using the pretty rose image - lovely card! Wishing you a great week! hugs, de
A wonderful image and a great design of the card, like the way you have incorporated the words into the image. I have just had a sudden flash back to History, was this not related to either the Black Death or some other plague in history, where the we all fail down meant dying?.
