Good morning to you all, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts where this week Wendy would like to see some Easter creations. Our sponsor is Scrapper Delight and Stamp Addicts.
I have used a frame from Scrappers Delight, stamped a really old Stamps Happen image in the centre and coloured with Spectrum Pencils and added some background with Pan Pastels.
And shame on me as it's a day late my Penny Black mid month card. My starting point was a piece of Fabriano, saturated with water and sprinkled Brushos here and there making sure I retained some lighter areas. Next I used distress inks and a honeycomb stencil to add some interest and then another mask across the top over which I spread grunge paste, removed the stencil and sprinkled with gold mica powder and blasted with a heat gun which intensifies and fixes the gold.
The Butterfly is Penny Black Soft Wings, stamped and embossed with detail gold powder onto an offcut of Fabriano..............it's a tad expensive so I always keep those little pieces......... and painted with the same Brusho's. Finally A Penny Black sentiment, again embossed with detail gold and a few pearls here and there.
I am popping over to the Butterfly Challenge where the theme is a Butterfly and Bronze, also the Playground to see if there is any hooch left up in the tree house, although as I am a tad late this week chances are I will need to smuggle in a bottle of my own.
Happy weekend all.

Your Penny Black card was worth the wait, the dreamy background is gorgeous! Is it me or the "Bon appétit" sounds ominous for the lovely rabbit...

Beautiful cards Brenda. Not sure why, but I can only see half of the images, it's like the photos are too big for your blog maybe? Oh well, the parts I can see are certainly stunning! happy weekend :)
Your Easter card is so beautiful Brenda and the butterfly one is lovely too, xxx
B. You've excelled here, two beautiful cards, but rather taken with the second one with its inky delights on it, so pretty...and bronzy... :)
Trust and pray dear friend you're travelling reasonably well health wise.
Thanks so much for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x

Wow Brenda - your butterfly card is stunning! Wonderful colours too. I'm thinking it must be quite a large card as the PB Soft Wings stamp ain't exactly small :) I hang onto snippets of Fabriano as well, also little bits of double sided adhesive sheets as they can be arranged a bit like patchwork on the back of things.
Thanks for playing in the Snippets Playground :)
Hugs

I'm loving these two cards Brenda. The rabbit is such a little cutie and as always, you've coloured him beautifully in those soft pastel colours. I love the colour palette that you've used on your butterfly card, it has such wonderful, warm tones. The butterfly looks great too, I bet you've used that stamp time and time again, I know I would. Have a lovely weekend Brenda :) x
Two beautiful cards Brenda, love the rabbit stamp and a great design, the butterfly card look fantastic too, loving that artistic background!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Sunshine over here, hopefully it's a little bit warmer than in was yesterday.
Lovely cards, I seem to have lost my creativity just now and I'm spending quite a lot of my spare time sorting out our new garden. It's almost done for now, lots of cutting back of dead growth and a bit of planting of summer bulbs plus some seeds indoors and now it's a case of wait and see what grows.
Have a great weekend

Two fabulous cards - love them both, but the wonderful butterfly card is my favourite - lovely background and warm colours.

Again, 2 lovely cards, each unique in the style. Love the vintage softness of the bunny rabbit, and all the delicate spring trims. You will guess that #2 grabbed my eyes (and heart!) with the gorgeous brusho colors, and all the fabulous texture from the different techniques. The mica in the paste really was an unexpected delight, and loved the suggestion of the honeycomb in the background. Looks just splendid as a beautiful background for this magnificent butterfly! Yummy! TFS & Have a wonderful week.
So beautiful, both!
A beautiful background and equally beautiful butterfly. Well done! Kate x

Hi, Brenda! Your bunny Stamps Happen image is beautiful! I don't recall seeing it before. Such a pretty, delicate frame. I really LOVE the stamp. Do you know if it has a number or name so I can search for it? I played with pan pastels for the first time last week and fell in love with them. They have "ruined " other pastels for me, but like other fine art supplies, they are a little pricey. Did you start out with a few colors or start out with a set? Thanks in advance for your input.
Your butterfly Penny Black card is gorgeous! Hugs, de
Both lovely, really nice pastel shades on the bunny card. Creative Blessings, Tracy x
