Fairy moon dance

Good morning to you all, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts where this week Tracy has come up with the theme of 'Bring on the Bling'. Our sponsors is Scrappers Delight.

I have read on several blogs that as well as Blogger meddling with our followers, some people have discovered they have been removed from blogs they follow even though they use a Google ID and have had to sign up to those blogs again. So if you are missing a visit from me lately please give me a nudge because realistically it's impossible to realise this or that blog is no longer showing up on a reading list.

Now onto my card, it wasn't my initial plan but I seem to have ended up with a rather purple card. I started by stamping the trio of Lavinia fairies, masking them and then stamping two of them again, left the masks in place and inked just the trunk and root of the tree, cleaned that section then inked and lined up the top part to extend the height.

I then used Pan Pastes and some ripped paper to create the background, masking a large sun, or maybe it's a moon and the fairies are doing a moon dance, totally open to interpretation. I stamped leaves across the top with an Art Impression stamp, little flying fairy and some toadstools across the bottom, all of which are Lavinia stamps. And to finish lots of glitter, a nice organza bow and pearl and gem ribbon slide.

Have a good weekend all.

Love is in the air at Allsorts

Good morning to you all, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts where this week Wendy is preparing us for Valentines Day. Our sponsor is Lets Create and Baker Ross and I have a make further down this post using some of their products.

My first Allsorts piece at the top uses an oldish Penny Black stamp over a Brusho brilliant red background, is seems to be one of the few that is restricted to the one pure colour, unlike most that emit many other colours the more water that is added. I used Tattered Lace Pin Dot Rectangles to make a frame and place it over a section of TL Byzantine trellis, a bow, little gem heart and sentiment which is also Penny Black.

I also have a card for the current Butterfly Challenge which this time round is 'I' for inks and a butterfly. My entry is the card at the top and is one of those I made for the recently released Compendium of Crafting. I masked the top and bottom of a piece of Fabriano and a mask for the sun and used DI's and Pan Pastels to create the background and sponged sunrays. Stamps are Chocolate Baroque, sentiment and Butterflies Tattered Lace. The Butterflies are Trios and after cutting them I inked the top section of the matching embossing folder with DI's before running through the e.bosser, then added detail clear embossing powder and heated.

My second Allsorts make using products from Baker Ross is a word book. I started with letters from the Large Upper Case set and covered them with this really pretty colour palette of Artimo Artpatch, after ripping the papers into smallish pieces you just can't go wrong layering them up randomly using the Varnish to fix them and it's fun as well. I used my Zutter to punch holes for the spine and tied with scraps of coordinating ribbon, then decorated the pages with gems, pearls and flowers.

Happy weekend all and keep warm.

Liberty, a bunny and some flowers

Hello Peeps, I am running late with my mid month Penny Black and More post, truth is most things have been a tad up in the air the last few weeks due to a couple of medical blips, but things are on the up I think as I've just had positive results on one 'female' issue and just awaiting an investigative procedure for the other.

The top share is not a 'me' card at all as I always struggle with anything cute or that needs colouring but I have always rather liked this Penny Black stamp, it reminds me of a really old photo of myself aged about five wearing a coat very similar and coincidentally with a couple of my pet rabbits.

I also have so many Tattered Lace cards still to share so am adding a few more to this post.

One that was made specifically for the USA shows

Another for the USA shows

Using just the cats from the Window Scene in yesterdays post

One of the Gatefold Embossing Folders which Nancy launched on C&C this morning

The new Decorative Centre Stepper die set

Thanks for taking a peek.

Hearts, flowers and pearl chains

Using the new Swirl Branches and Happy Birthday

Hello Peeps, many thanks for all your kind comments on yesterdays fairy card.

There are going to be lots of new Tattered Lace releases coming up on Create and Craft and Ideal World, tomorrow sees a new Four Day Deal and Tuesday a new Pick of the Day. Here are a few of the samples I made for the shows.

Also I need to answer lots of enquiries about the Tattered Laced Blog which has been a bit quiet recently, along with the TL website it has been undergoing a revamp but will be active again very soon.

I would also like to enter the top card into this weeks Snippets Playground, it was a useful way of using up some snippets of paper and although this fold really needs one larger piece, I managed to match up two offcuts and hide the join in the folds.

Using the new Window Scene, I cut it twice and reversed one to extend the scene and have two cats sitting together looking out into the stamped Pan Pastel garden

There have been a few sneak peeps of the Pearl Chain edging that is the TL 2016 signature design. The Pick of the Day will see the launch of the decorative Pearl frame sets (this one is from the oval set) that match the Essential Peal frames which launched last week (the courier apparently lost mine so I have not able to use them in these samples), they are so incredibly delicate yet cut like butter

The heart Pearl Frame set

The Oval set again and at the bottom one of the oh so delicate border dies and a splattering of brushos in the background

The Window Scene again

The rectangle Pearl Frame set

The heart set again - might be my favourite from this release and another of the delicate border dies

As always my thanks for your visit and hope you all have a good week.

Fairy Brusho magic

Good morning to you all, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts where this week Tracy Mouse has come up with the theme of 'Girly and Sparkly'. Our sponsors are A Day for Daisies and a pair of NEC Manchester tickets.

So it had to be fairies for me with a bit of inkiness as well as sparkle. All of the stamps are from Lavinia, stamped with black archival onto a Brusho background. I let the wet brushos run down the card to achievd a graduated look, what I always love about them is the extra colours that are drawn out as you increase the water, I used just two colours here, cobalt blue and lemon, yet there are aquas, lilacs and even a hint of green.

After adding a bit of colour to the fairy wings and flowers with the same brushos, I sprinkled with liberal helpings of glitter and also some stickles for the 'fairy magic' and around the ivy at the top.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Lace, Ribbons and more CHA

Good morning, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts where this week Susan would like to see 'Ribbons and Lace' which ties is nicely with this weeks sponsor Crafty Ribbons.

My focal image is a real oldie from Stamps Happen with just a little shading using spectrum pencils and some black and white DP's from stash.

And as promised a few more of my CHA and Create and Craft samples, the decorative centre stepper is the gorgeous new set which launched yesterday and sold out within hours again, but it will be back.

I think this is such a pretty shaped die set

And a blue one as well

Using Melded Roses frame, cut several times and Love Swag

The Floral Scull is not the usual for me but I quite like it with the 'blown inks' all around, I saw something Mark from Visible Image had done with inks and it's fun !

The new Lattice Corner along with Byzentine Lattice

A lovely new Butterfly aptly named Beautiful Butterfly and Melded Roses frame

The lovely lady is another new die............it's official I am totally addicted to the hexagon range of dies

I hope to be round all your blogs sooner rather than later, but I'm finding it hard going as it's been a bit of a touch week health wise and not looking any better this coming week with two days at hospital for different tests.

The animals went in two by two

Using the Ark template, stencils and animals from the collection

Hello Peeps, this is scheduled and a little overdue in sharing more samples for the current Noah's Ark Tattered Lace Craftinator and Thursday's Charisma Stories One Day Wonder.

My apologies for the lack of visits, things are not too good health wise at the moment and I am not feeling much in the mood for craft or social interaction, so forgive me that this is rather short and sweet.

Using some the the new Essential Charisma Frames, there are three different shapes sets all with at least six dies, the papers are from the CD Rom which goes with the collection, Charisma Peony and the plain matting card is from the new Ombre A4 pack colours 9-16 (196 sheets in the pack).

Another of the frame sets, papers from the Charisma Stories CD Rom, Charisma Rose corner, new Love sentiment and Ombre A4 cardstock pack 1-8 (again 196 sheets)

More papers from the CD Rom, new Birthday sentiment, Charisma Stories floral die and Ombre cardstock

More of the backing papers and floral embellishments from the CD Rom with matching dies

Noah's Ark animals

Frame from the CD Rom which matched perfectly with the Charisma Poppies and Happy Birthday is from the new Sentiments 2016

Thanks for much for taking a peek.

New stash at FlonzCraft and some CHA shares

We have a new challenge starting today over at FlonzCraft Vintage Stamping Challenges, this month our theme is New Stash. As always there is a very generous $20 voucher to be won from FlonzCraft. And please remember that although our title has Vintage in it, your entries do not have to be vintage, everything is welcome providing there is hand stamping focally on your work.

Believe it or not it's always a theme I struggle with as the family gave up giving me crafting goodies for Christmas years ago, taking the view..................probably quite correctly.............that I already have far too much. So the best I can offer in the way of new stash is the DP's on this card which I bought a few weeks ago.

I stamped the pretty little girl appropriately called Girl under umbrella with versafine back and embossed her with detail clear powder, coloured her with spectrum pencils and paper pieced her dress. The lattice to the left is Tattered Lace and the papers Trimcraft Mulberry Kisses, a gorgeous collection on lovely plus, greens and pale purples. I used some ready made flowers and curled some offcuts of papers to tuck between them.

And here are a few Tattered Lace shares covering a range of new dies and products coming up this week both here and across the pond and as some are special CHA launches there is quite an American influence going on. I have to confess that it's been so full on the last couple of weeks with sample making that I have got to the point where I am not totally sure what are for which show, so this is a very mixed bunch of the American style samples from the sixty plus I created for the shows.

By the time this post goes live I will be on my way across the pond (not any more thanks to this dodgy body of mine, looks like today will see a day or two in hospital whilst they sort me out again) so this is scheduled and there are a couple more posts scheduled during the next week with more of my offerings for the shows.

I hope you all have a good week.

Flowers all the way

Thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday, they are so very much appreciated.

It's time for our monthly challenges at Stamping Sensations and Penny Black and More where our themes are Stamps and Dies and One for the Girls. I also have a share a for the Snippets Playground, although of course I am not fit enough to create any havoc which will will probable bring a sigh of relief from Miss Di.

I have used the fabulous new Hexagon collection from Tattered Lace for my Stamping Sensation card and box. So many times I have tried to made this shape of card on the scoreboard but the dimensions are never quite right so you can imagine my glee when this set landed on my doormat it consists of the box die templates, the hexagon trellis and the set of hexagon dies themselves.

The box makes up in just minutes and the top even has little cutouts to make it easy to lift off and give that perfect professional finish. The Poppy stamps are from Rubbernecker and the sentiment is a really old one from Hero Arts.

I thought I would go a bit Summery for my Penny Black card using Gardeners Assistant which I paper pieced with papers from 'be Creative!' Vintage Collage pad. I stamped the main image and then repeat stamped the flowers along the bottom to extend the scene and used Pan Pastels to create the background, a stamp from Natures Gifts across the top and the sentiment is from Sprinkles and Smiles sentiment set.

And here is my Snippets share, it's one of my makes for the new Compendium of Crafting book released a few weeks ago and uses up lots of offcuts of coloured vellum. The background panel is embossed with one of the new TL folders and lightly inked with DI, I made the base of the wreath with lengths of twine which I plaited............hubbies are really useful for holding the other end during the plaiting.............and fixed onto the base card in a circle. I used a variety of TL leaves to cut the vellum and fixed all in place with Pinflair and finally a flouncy organza bow topped with another one made with raffia.

Have a good Sunday all and thanks for your visit, I will see you all again when I am back from over the pond - edited to say not well enough to travel to CHA, (: (: clearly it was not to be.
