Good morning to you all, it's time for our new challenge at Allsorts where this week Tracy would like to see 'Colours of Autumn'. Our sponsors are Jiggery Makery and Sizzix.
I so love making Autumnal cards and have two to shares today, the one at the top is a Tattered Lace creation for a Create and Craft TV show a couple of weeks ago using another new set of leaf dies along with one of the new embossing folders.
Whilst on the subject of TL and C&C, have any of you ordered the new Compendium of Crafting which was launched yesterday ? It's not just about die cutting, it's a bumper packed book of crafting ideas and techniques with step by step guides from cards to home decor, mixed media to scrapbooking. I am very honoured to be one of the 20 invited designers included and have several projects in the book. I would share some of them but guess who forgot to take photos before sending off their pieces of artwork !!

So for my first share I used the largest 8x8 folder from the Best Wishes set of four embossing folders and embossed a sheet of cream card and then added liberal helping of gold gilding wax to the edges. The leaves are all cut from a sheet of paper which I coloured with Dylusions before cutting the leaves and acorns. After arranging the on the card I added some berries and bows made on the TL now maker.
My second card is a recent Chocolate Baroque make using stamps from the Autumn Poppy stamp set. I used distress markers to ink the stamps, spritzed with water, stamped randomly and then dragged out a bit of colour using an almost dry brush.
The sentiment is also from Chocolate Baroque, stamped randomly onto the the central strip which I edges with lace and onto an oval for the focal element. Using the same stamp set I stamped and cut out several leaves from a piece of card sprayed with Dylusions and arranged down the card and a raffia bow.
Have a good weekend.

Lovely fall pieces! Really like how you used the Best Wishes embossing folder and then highlighted it with ink-- really nice touch. Both are beautiful compositions!
Both cards are so beautiful, the colours are spot on and those delicate die-cut leaves wonderful.
Congratulations Brenda for having your name in print! I will need to investigate as I don't tune in to C&C.

Hi, Brenda! It's nice to see some Autumn cards because I've had Christmas on the brain and I'm working on cards and stocking stuffers. Love your leaves! Hope you have a good weekend!
Both are gorgeous but I favour the bottom one, I love how you coloured and cut some of the leaves to add as embellishments, love it! I hope you are doing better, take care, xx
Just beautiful cards, Brenda! I regret jumping the gun into Christmas crafting. But the weather was quite unusual here and it seemed we had skipped fall. Now I wish I had made more fall lovelies such as these. Your cards are so inspiring. Hugs, Autumn
Beautiful cards, love the bow on your first one!!!
Hugsss, Gaby
Such beautiful autumnal cards, Brenda. The skeleton leaves are perfect for this time when the very last of the leaves are clinging on to the almost bare branches, and I really love the painterly look of the second card - beautiful work with the inks.

Hello Brenda
How are you? Well I hope and hiding away from this dreadful weather we are having.
Love the two cards today. Unfortunately the wind and rain over the last week has meant all the leaves are off the trees here.
Congratulations on being included in the new TL compendium. What an honour.
Enjoy your weekend
Lesley

Beautiful cards Brenda, loving the first one with those gorgeous bows and leaves.
Two beautiful cards, but the first one really grabbed my attention with that gorgeous spray of leaves & wonderful background!
OK, usually I can pick one of your cards that I like best. Not this time! Both are just splendid - and I love the rich colors of Autumn on each one. Along with the superb designs. These are 2 of my favorites that you've done (even if I can't pick a fav between these two!). This book sounds very interesting. Did a quick check on the USA site but didn't spot it. I don't do 'projects', but always love having card ideas. Have a good week, and TFS. Hugs
