Easter at Allsorts

It's Saturday morning again which means a new challenge at Allsorts and Wendy is right on trend with the theme if Easter. Our sponsor is DigiStamp Boutique.

Thanks for all your wishes for my hospital visit, truth is it turned into an absolute fiasco, somehow they had lost all my test results done in readiness, how one earth I ask you. Anyhow, they were able to do them again there and then and I had a call the next morning with the results and although things are far from right, the don't feel the need to take a knife to me immediately and are "keeping a watching brief" and repeating them all again in a couple of weeks.

On to my card and it's a really quick and easy one for me this week as I am knee deep in TL samples for next week, but I needed an Easter card for my Cousin so the perfect opportunity to get out a favorite stamp from the Penny Black Spring releases.

I created a background with Brusho's sprinking them onto the cardstock so I got them more or less where I wanted them avoiding the stamping area, spritzed with water then mopped up so it didn't spread to far. I uses distress marker to ink the stamp and spritzed with water before stamping and did the same with the sentiment.

Some pretty ribbons for bows...................not sure if I have mentioned this before, but one of my new Tattered Lace/Embellishment Attic goodies was a Bow Maker.............I was even sent the oh so useful tote bag stuffed with goodies and essentials and...............the Tattered Lace apron........how cool is that. Can you tell I was excited ? So back to bows, now I always thought my bows were OK, even if I do fumble a bit with my poor dexterity but goodness me, I would never have believed a little piece of blue plastic could be so wonderful. It creates single bows, double bows and so much more in just seconds and non of the normal fumble fingers, it really is as the Meerkat's say "simples".

Happy Easter weekend all, doesn't looks like the weather is going to be too special and as our daughter is cooking Easter Sunday I will be hiding away in my craft room munching chocolate as I go, can't be bad.

Sorry to hear of your "fiasco" Brenda, sadly these days it is actually the norm, despite all the technology!! Anyway what a truly
fabulous card and the bows are brilliant, I couldn't be without my bowmaker these days. A tattered lace apron!?? You lucky girl, you must share a snap sometime!! xx

Hi Brenda, this card really caught my eye! The colours are so of the season, love the Brusho background and the daffodils, and your pretty ribbons are just perfect. Sorry to hear about the hospital fiasco, as my medical notes went 'missing' for an entire YEAR I know just how much of a problem it can be. My sister, Margaret - the one with MS - has been hospital for quite a few weeks now ... she developed pneumonia just after I did and had quite a time of. Happily, she is recovering quite nicely now, with plenty of physiotherapy to help, though no word, as yet, of her being allowed home. I wish you well with a continued reprieve from the surgeon's knife. Happy Easter. Elizabeth xx

Your daffodil card has such a wonderful Spring feel to it, Brenda, and your bows do look fabulous. It sounds like you made perfect arrangements for your Easter weekend, probably just the thing you needed after your experiences at the hospital.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I am sorry for your lost analyses, I believed that these things happened only in Italy...
Today's card is fresh and soft, and love so much your background. The bow is really perfect! I think I must buy the bow maker, too... my bows are a disaster, infact I almost never use them...
Happy Easter!

Goodness, how could they lose those results?! Geez! :S Oh well, at least they managed to do the tests again. I wonder how long will they take them to decide that things are serious enough to do something about them and not just keep you under (close) watch.
Your card turned out beautifully. I really like how you created the background - great colours!
Enjoy your new crafty toys! :)
Happy Easter!
Hugs! xx

Hello Brenda
Lovely Easter card today. You really can't beat a daffodil, one of my favourite flowers. Your bow looks spectacular, my bows are always so messy. Maybe I need to add a bow maker to my crafty arsenal.
Have a lovely Easter. Your plans sound like bliss to me, crafting and chocolate - yummy.

Wonderful multi coloured stamping! Love the controlled Brushos background too, you've managed to keep it light which is so difficult...

Gorgeous card Brenda and love the background and the colours of the daffy. I always thought that you made fabulous bows and I have ever bow maker under the sun, except the one you have used, and I still can't get it right, hence I bought the bow die set.
Enjoy the rest of the long weekend.

Ah B. Beautifully done, love the brushos... love it.
Thanks for popping over. Praying things go well with tests.. and such go along well for.
Blogging has been neglected as things are topsy turvy here. My dad is very unwell, plus am on medical trial and trips to Syd. Hopefully, God willing, it will be beneficial. :)
Take care B. Hugs and prayers, Shaz in Oz.x
