Morning Peeps, hope all is well in your part of the world.
Looks like I'm on a real roll this week, three posts i a week is unheard of recently and it's only Wednesday. I thought I would share some more Tattered Lace work as well as entering two challenges I have been promising to join in for weeks, but time has just got the better of me so time to put that right.
The card at the top is for this months Butterfly Challenge, it's one of a set I made some months back for Stampers Sampler so was not able to post until publication. The gorgeous Butterfly is Penny Black and the background 'stamped' with an acrylic block and distress inks peacock feathers and mowed lawn, I used the same inks for the Butterfly and matted and layered onto coordinating cardstock and a Penny Black sentiment.
Next is another Shutter card, I am so loving this clever die and as I have always like cards with a bit of dimension this set really appeals to me. The Tattered Lace blog is still fairly new and we are seeing new followers every day so it's worth signing up as there are often freebies and news as well as new inspiration most days.

The card above was inspired by a clear out of my ribbons drawers, truth is I was trying to find space to store new ones so trying to use up the reels with only a yard or two left. And this particular one was a perfect match for a sheet of DP I came across..........that was when I was having another clear out of my DP cabinet. This ones seems to have been in the 'green drawer' forever so I decided to use it up.
I made two roses with the ribbon to place at either side of the shutter card and used both sides of the DP as contrast on the panels. The swirly panels have been cut with the TL Tulip flourish die.
This is one of my samples for last weekends Four Day Deal on Create and Craft, the DP's are from the new Golden Age CD and the Violin which is so incredibly detailed yet cuts through Centura Pearl like a dream is on a mat embossed with TL Lace Medallion folder. I love the size of the embossing folders, the largest one in the sets is a generous 8"x8".....old fashioned measurements I'm afraid.
And at long last I have a card for Mo's Rudolph Challenge, since she took over the reins of this monthly challenge at the beginning of the year I have been promising her I will join in, but shame on me not done so yet. So when I visited her blog early this morning and saw she had just posted the March challenge I had immediate pangs of guilt and set to making a card.......amazing what you can achieve before work if you put your mind to it ! It's a rather quick make, stamping the Hero Arts stamp in black and heat embossing with detail clear powder, some matting and layering and bows down the side. Promise to do better next time Mo.

You have been busy. These are wonderful cards. Love the shutter card.
Such a stunning selection of cards Brenda.
The colours on your butterfly card are gorgeous. The shutter card is decorated so beautifully, your ribbon flowers look so pretty.

You really are on a roll, Brenda, posting 4 fab cards in one post. I have been doing some colouring lately, but have yet to turn some of these into cards and post them all on my blog...
I'm really drawn to that background in your first card. Stamping with an acrylic block is still on my to do list.
And your Christmas card is a real stunner. Love how those frames draw you into the dramatic black and white scene and your ribbons are the perfect finishing touch.

These are all gorgeous Brenda! The first one and the last one are my personal faves although i think they are all great. It is the colours of the first one that captured my eye...they are stunning together.

Beautiful cards . . . all so different, but all of them are FABULOUS.
I am particularly taken with the monochrome Rudolph Day card.
Happy Rudolph Day!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Great cards Brenda and all so different, I love the first one, lovely colours and a beautiful butterfly and your Christmas card is lovely, don't know why on earth you think you should do better!

Lovely cards Brenda. Love the shutter card particularly. Oh WOW that was pricey lace! But then nice good quality lace does not come cheap. But it really does make a difference to a card. I don't think non crafty people realise just how much it costs to make a shabby card you know. I think they think it is a cheap option. As if eh! lol Bet you saw red when you read your receipt! BUT, hey if you had known you may not have got it, at least you have something nice to play with and it is challenging your inspiration too. Red? Apart from Christmas, I think of red roses or flowers! And also red polka dots. Does that help inspire you? Judy x
Great selection of cards Brenda, I love the colours on the first one.

WOW what a stunning collection of cards - i've looked at the Tattered Lace all singing / dancing die to make loads of different type of cards, it's £45, is it really worth it ? and does it come with an instruction booklet ? Luv Sam x
All of these are beautiful but the top one is in my favorite colour combo and I love the acrylic block background you created. Take good care, Shirleyxx

All of your pieces are fantastic. I especially adore the first one, love the fresh colors.
You must be a fast crafter Brenda as well as an organised one to show us 4 different and beautiful cards in the same post!
Girl, these are gorgeous. Each one is unique.. Love the colors on the first one, great design. Love the violin die, and love that last card, gorgeous.
Gorgeous cards, Brenda - am impressed that you made one before work, something I don't have time for , even waking up as early as I do!
A stunning selection of cards Brenda, but with my favourite colour combo being blue/green, it has to be the first one for me :o)
Jackie xx
gorgeous cards Brenda!! lovely butterfly.. ribbon flower is very pretty... but the snow scene steals the show!!
Your little winter scene at the end is just perfect for Rudolph Day - I came here from that site - but it is the violin that caught my eye. A beautiful cut. I am wondering whether it is a die or a machine cut. I live in Spain and I can no longer see the TV program. I love it either way. The shutter card is very pretty, and of course all butterflies are beautiful. I do like your choice of colour combo for that one. A lovely set of cards! Kate x
Stunning monochrome card, just love it.
These are beautiful!
Your cards are always a real treat for the eyes. I really like your style. All of these cards are amazing, but the butterfly one is my favourite (go figure lol).
Hugs! xx

All beautiful Brenda but the first with all the inky blues and greens with the amazing butterfly is what I would pick if I had to choose. Thank goodness I don't have to lol.
Warm crafty hugs from Shirl x x x

Beautiful cards! Love the background on wich you let the butterfly land and the snowy scene in black and white most... Hope you are enjoing the sun whenever it shows its beautiful light... Hugs, Gerrina
Wow! A great assortment of fantastic cards. It's always fun visiting your blog to see what techniques, styles, and products will be utilized. I feel I "hit the jackpot" today with these 4 cards! Completely unique, wonderfully put together, amazing colors and textures. My favorite was hard to determine, but I especially like your black and white Christmas card on the bottom. Thank you for the inspiration this morning, Brenda! hugs, de
Gorgeous selection of cards, Brenda! Love the acrylic block stamping with the butterfly and the black and white snowy scene!
wow! super :))
What a fabulous selection. i love the tri shutter card and the Christmas one in particular x
Loved each one of these wonders for different reasons: Colors, dies, the shutter card which is something I've never tried, and this one is so beautiful. Am loving those TL dies...yum. The Rudolph entry was beautiful. I liked the simplicity of the 2 colors- it made for a very dramatic night scene, very winterish in the feel. So glad you got to jump in on Rudy Day. It's hard when life gets so busy. TFS & Hugs too.
The lovely very different cards. I really like the monochrome Christmas one especially xxx
These are all beautiful. The butterfly on the first one is gorgeous.
Amazing cards....so love the colours on the butterfly card and am liking that shutter die more and more.
