Treemendous and Saturday candy

Good Morning Peeps, over at Allsorts this week it's my turn to host the theme so I have decided on Treemendous.......basically your spin on using some sort of tree on your work be it a Christmas Tree, a landscape or anything else that takes your fancy. Our sponsors this week are DigiDarla and PPR Papercrafts.

Two from me today, as I wanted to do something with the new Anna Griffin Winter Wonderland cartridge from Cricut which from this week is available to buy in the UK and to coincide with it's release over here there is a really special deal on the Cricut Mini.................you can buy one from Hobbycraft for just £99, how good is that. Both the Reindeer and trees are from the new cartridge and the sentiment is Penny Black. I would like to enter:

Graphit - Alternative Christmas colours
Scrappinf4fun - Holiday/Christmas
Aud Sentiments - Christmas sentiments

My second card below is yet another I had created well in advance using a favourite tree from an Andy Skinner set stamped with sepia archival ink and there had to be a fence or two so I used both the left and right fence images from Sutter Stamps, masked a sun and used Pan Pastels to create the sky and hills and added some birds.  The two little bunnies are Lavinia and the corner leaves are the Three Fall leaf trio from DigiDarla which I printed, cut out and sprayed with Dylusions. I would like to enter this into:

Bloggers - Autumn
Sweet Stampin - Wood trees and leaves

Now for the winner of last weeks candy who is Dot (miles away in Aussie where Summer is on it's way !), please mail me with your full name and postal addy so I post off your goodies.

And this week  I have a set of cute cat stamps, some gems and pack of doilies.

Same rules as usual....................
  • Add the Saturday Candy logo from my sidebar to your sidebar (not this picture)
  • Be a follower of my blog
  • A random winner will be selected from all comments left on my blog between now and Friday, so two comments during the week two chances of winning and so on.
  • The winner will be announced next Saturday
I hope you all have a good weekend whatever you have planned.

Two gorgeous cards Brenda. The deer have to be my favourite. We are fortunate to have lots around us, they visit the horses quite often and graze quite happily in the paddocks, particularly this time of year after the maize has been cut. xx

Two beautiful cards Brenda. The Xmas card is so pretty and ideal for men or women. The tree card - I get you there I love tree stamps there is just so much you can do with them. I will have to try and get that one at some point - it's a lovely size and ideal for men! Rest your fingers, arms and shoulders huni xx

So rude of me, lol, forgot to say thank you for the chance too. I got completely distracted by those beautiful trees x

So lovely... love your two seasonal cards - the wintry one is fabulously frosty, and I just love the subtle colours of the autumnal one. Gorgeous, Brenda. Like you, I've been having trouble keeping up with Craftyblogland - clearing and moving out of the family home of 40 years pretty much knocked me for six - but I'm looking forward to some proper catching up over the next days and weeks.

I really like both of these cards. sadly, one of our trees lost a lot of branches in a weird snow storm this past week. some of the branches were about 15 feet long. just breaks my heart to see that happen. we are big nature lovers in our house. will go check out the new challenge!

have a great weekend!

That tree on the second card is terrific and a wonderful scene. Also like the waves of snow on that first card. Wishing you a good weekend.

Paula (PEP) said...

Both of these have your distinctive flair for creating a scene - I love your eyes on the deer in the first & the colours are just wonderful. The second though is my favourite - the way you have extended the fence across the aperture is so effective & those little bunnies are so characterful. The leaves really add some zing.
Take care of yourself.

Hi Brenda, hope you're having a great weekend! Love your cards, great tree stamp! I just did the Andy Skinner workshop making the mirror. He's such a nice man, very friendly and I was lucky to get in since he gave only a few workshops and takes on only 14 people at a time. Scrolled down on your blog and found that lovely heart card in the previous post. Also a stunner! Hugs Frea
